That was really good. I like NO music.
Keeping fingers out of the way as far as possible.
Dealing with features thoroughly before moving on to the next. Careful and calm annunciation. Leaving the meter on the table and not waving it about erratically. I thought this was a really well prepared presentation. Thanks 👍

Best review because you tell us to read the manual. I ALWAYS read manuals for my equipment, no matter how simple the item. I also keep all my manuals/warranties in a folder so I can find them easily. Also you tested it with rechargeable batteries which was very helpful. Great video thanks. I have one of these coming in a couple weeks from ebay.

No---If this was a good review, it would have told us that the manual is written in pidgin English, is full of typos, errors, and malapropisms, doesn't even bother to give buyers an overview of the dial's signals, and may well end up with a novice buyer getting electrocuted. It's appalling.

@@johnstrawb3521 I just got my one out and checked the manual again. Mine is well written, with pictures, and tons of safety instructions, all in excellent English. Is it possible you got a dodgy third party manual from a particular seller? I bought my multimeter from ebay in Australia. My manual is 30 pages long. My multimeter came with a hard protective case (I paid extra).
Also, my comment was more that watching a video is no substitute for reading the manual, so it's good advice in general.
I try to be encouraging and positive with videos like this because they are really helpful when choosing whether or not to buy a particular brand. If the review is well filmed and clear, I'm happy.

Yours is the first review I've seen that shows the wide viewing angle of this meter. Ironically, the Kaiweets Pocket 112 DVM is the opposite. It has a very narrow viewing angle & therefore I returned it & got the HT118A. The HT112B pocket meter was unusable except in the very bright environments.

You explained duty cycle, no one else did. Excellent. One question, duty cycle displayed is that duty cycle percentage on or duty cycle percentage off?

Saludos ingeniero, cuál sería la ventaja de los multimetros que trabajan con baterías de 9v, o los que trabajan con varias baterías de 1.5v ?

Hi Bob, I heard that the Multimeter 118A can NOT read very small capacitors, is this true (pF)? There is no REL button. How do we get rid of the residual data? I use high end batteries that lasts a long time. I don’t need rechargeable batteries.

Great review - thanks. Is it really true, that the multimeter don't supports recharchable batteries? (It's hard to believe.) Maybe the batteries are not fully charged or have too much capacitity, 2700mAh? If it's true, for me this would be the dealbreaker.

At 9:02 Can you explain why you are reading 14VAC with just one probe? And then 80VAC when you touch the other probe? Shouldn't they both read 0V? I'm new to electronics.

Hi! One test lead is in contact with the life line at about 80V AC from the autotransformer. The other is floating without contact with the ground what can show low or high potential difference. When I get in contact with the other teat lead, I give enough mass for the system to identify the difference of potential called "Voltage" as the connected to a main line 80V on the red test lead, and mass from my hand on the black test lead. When people touches something connected to LIVE line, and their shoes let conduction to ground, a strong electrical shock of 120A or 240 V can happen, because the LIVE line from the mains is not 0V. That is what the orange screen tries to tell us.

Brother it doesn't respond fast in ohms mode because the cables is not good test with better cables for multimeter and you will see how fast it will respond
