Ooooh I am so eager to read the Molly the Maid novella!! And hahaha, I loved hearing your brutally honest thoughts on Letters of Enchantment. Honestly, I have ZERO doubts you would love her other duology more. That almost gives me Winternight trilogy vibes in its storytelling. I am currently completely lost in Roshar with my Wind and Truth read, and I am having the best time! Happy reading friend 🥰🥰
Christmas and other Horrors is a great read! Especially if you’re one of those who view the holidays with a certain sense of dread. Looking forward to seeing your review of that anthology.
Oh then this is a perfect choice for me. I just have not been able to get into any sort of holiday spirit this year. The hubby and I both are just not feeling it. SO BRING ON THE DARKNESS :D
I HATED THE ENDING OF DIVINE RIVALS TOO. Finally someone that agrees! I couldn’t continue because I was so mad. I loved the vibes of the majority of the book and then the ending was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I don’t think I’ve ever been this mad or disappointed in an ending.
SPOILERS AHEAD What pissed me off about it is the WHO. I knew that Iris and Roman would be separated somehow since they didn't get together until so late in the book. I looked at the pages left and was like, yeah, there's a monkey wrench coming. But to have it come because of Forest?! The one person who is the reason we get this story? AND - it was a complete freaking throwaway once you start the second book. It was lazy, lazy, lazy. The second book....same exact premise, but eh. I'm curious to see if it's as bad as or worse than the first OR if it can redeem them both. (I'm not holding my breath)
@@TheNerdyNarrative Oh god yes. I forgot about him. I must’ve repressed that on purpose because I totally agree. My book club all ended up reading the second one too but I just couldn’t. I felt too betrayed. 🤣
This week I finished Fool's Quest and yesterday I started Assassin's Fate, the finale to Realm of the Elderlings 😢 Most of my reading was from the last few days cuz I was recovering from a hangover last weekend 😂 I'm waiting in the wings to see which direction the wind blows for Stormlight 5 before I restart the series.
I read for real by alexis hall it's another queer romance it was good but i still love glitterland and boyfriend material and the Christmas book only for the holidays by abiola bello it's a fake dating romance i really enjoyed it Currently reading wild eyes by elsie silver book 2 in the rose hill series blackwood farm by Anne rice be my baby by ronnie spector memoir
I've been trying to get out of a reading slump. I am doing a little better. I am reading 25 Days by Per Jacobsen which is a book that has 25 chapters and you read a chapter a day through Christmas. It is horror. It hard not to keep reading. I have been reading some Christmas books and waiting for Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates to come in from Libby.
Oh, I like that it's styled where you only read a chapter a day! I'll have to add that to my list for next December! Dead of Winter - I love/hate that book. Darcy Coates knew how to make me keep saying "one more chapter!"
Yup you are correct in that I have liked the Elements of Cadence duology much better than this one. Idk something just feels missing from this series...
Too bad about Nobody's Son. I do like the cover of A Kingdom of Lies. Have a great rest of your weekend, Lezlie!

Congratulations on completing book 7. I have been taking care of a barky brat but I did get to....
Rosetta's revenge on Rust
I had to pick my jaw up off the FLOOR when that happened!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TheNerdyNarrative I heard from the cold reads that chapter 37 was very emotional. I'm almost there.
For me im waiting on my Hold Aduiobook for Wind and Truth

I bet you would! There's not a day that goes by without one or both of us referencing the series in some way!!

Kyle Read’s just broke the news, Hobb is writing two more sequels to Elderlings so no tears necessary just yet. He spoke to her at Dragonsteel.
@heidi6281 oh I knew there would a sequel eventually but I only found out about the writing of two sequels an hour ago.
