Damn, that harp guitar sounds HUGE! "Star Trails (Part I)" is one of my favourites from Back and Forth album, I have no idea how he writes stuff like that, it's just brilliant. He is the king of fingerstyle original music.
Coming from Alexandr Misko himself thats a huge complement. He is my favorite fingerstyle player of all I am familiar with (and thats quite a large amount) and love your stuff very much as well though I just connect with his music more so on all levels. I love your songs foretaste, late passenger, and thunderstorm very much though. I connect with those very much. Great to see someone of your caliber posting here with encouraging words though. Thanks for all your music you all have gifted to the world. Seeing the level at which you both play is motivation and brings about new realms of awakening unto the possibilities of guitar and music as a whole. Blessings to you all on this day (12/25/20)
Perhaps the best compliment I can pay to Antoine is that every note he plays means something. Nothing wasted. No extra notes, nothing missing. Perfect.
This has moved me to tears for the last couple years. I dunno what it is. Maybe it’s the beautiful complexities or the overall vibe- but It’s such a surreal and soothing movement I just vibe with it so much. And as a musician I appreciate the musicianship-Thank you for this music.
Reminiscent of one of my all time favorite guitarists, Alex De Grassi...Dufour's performance - very lovely music, thoughtful guitar work. Windham Hill records would love him!
Listening to this made me feel like i was drifting away to a place of peace. I felt my soul leave my body. Only to be lost in the music. Amazing piece! So atmospheric!
I love you man, and your music you so masterfully create. Absolute insane perfection. I don't know why pop music is so popular and music like this is so widely unknown. You're one of the legends man. Keep at it. You're a inspiration.
The Sound of the Percussion on the guitar towards the end was so immensely huge and awesome! Absolutely loved both of these pieces ;) Its by Antoine Dufour so that's to be expected haha
This is what I feel when I listen to this piece of art: "...[he] heard a sweet singing running in his mind; a song that seemed to come like a pale light behind a grey rain-curtain, and growing stronger to turn the veil all to glass and silver, until at last it was rolled back, and a far green country opened before him under a swift sunrise."
So incredibly beautiful. I close my eyes and I am one with the universe, travelling through space and time and memory. Thank you Antoine for sharing your gift with us, the humanity of it all.
What a great composition! You can really hear how Antione has taken things further! I'm so grateful to be able to listen to a person trying unique things on the guitar! Wow!
This is musicianship... to be able to compose something so wonderful and transcendent, and to perform it with technical mastery and about as close to perfection as anyone could argue.
One of my favourite things about this composition is the notes leading up from 2:35-2:45, he leaves out a note i "want" to hear, but purposefully let it stays in your imagination! amazing =D
Inspiring and beautiful music, as always. And such an awesome instrument! "Back & Forth" is one of my favorite albums of the year (and had been one of my most-awaited albums before its release).
Antoine is a magician and this piece is pure genius. Listening makes you ponder the meaning of life. I could listen to this and look up at the stars for hours!! Keep it up!!!
Antoine...you keep pushing yourself to new levels...it's been a while since I've listened in and it's a real treat to hear your new material...this is incredible...good job bro
Congratulations on your best album yet! It's possibly my favorite album of any artist ever. At least in my opinion. The art design and tuning puzzle in the CD case is super sweet, but really there's just an incredible amount of attention paid to every detail in your music. I noticed your music is simpler in this album too than from your former records. Somehow the quality miraculously, but predictably 'cause you're Antoine, increased while the technical difficulty has lessened. This is what I call true musicianship maturity. I learned Air Ground and I was so surprised at how easy it was compared to These Moments, To Run in a Dream, Drive Within, and other great tracks from earlier in your career. I'm really sad that it didn't go viral because it's one of the greatest accomplishments of any solo musician I've ever seen. Truly Amazing! And you're an awesome live performer, btw!
It's amazing how in order to be so good you have to allow imperfections. I wonder how many people have broken guitars and say to hell with wasting money one something else I won't be good enough at. Over the smallest of mistakes like myself...
Recently I have seen a lot of debates on what is considered "real music" and on if some of the guitarists were producing beautiful melodies or just showing off their techniques, and all that. Personally, I like Candyrat videos and all, but it is quite sad to see that some people fail to respect others' different tastes in music. Sure, some may favor stuffs like Despacito and contemporary pop songs and all that, while others may condemn those types of music and favor more classical or fingerstyle-kind of music (of which I am personally affiliated in). It is alright to have a distinct music taste, but opening fights on whose is more superior does nothing more than causing a flame war among the comments section. Trying to understand why that person likes this or that song, I believe, shows better musician-ship. And again, this is just my opinion, so you may refute me however you want. Freedom of speech.
Daniel Kim I actually enjoy both original composed finger style (with a variety of percussions added) and fingerstyle covers of pop music. And guitar+voice/piano+voice covers as well. I enjoy all acoustic music plenty. I also don't see why there should be superiority of one over the other.
I think everybody should like whatever he wants, and should not be criticized for it man I don't care what you like so why should you disrespect my music tastetaste in music is subjective so just live and let live
I realized a neural tag then... There are what we call learnings, aka "learning tags" that cause a shaking of grounds to awaken our hearts to "Valor" music. 💜💜💜💍🌐🏁
An amazing song! I have to ask though, as someone who's not a guitarist, what's everyday life like with nails like that on your hand? I feel like you're going constantly be saying "I'm a professional guitar player" all the darn time. No worries, just the crazy thought in my head during quarantine.
One of the best pieces ever written in a harp guitar...
Hey daniel how long did it take you to arrange "A sky full of stars"?
Hey Fintan, I took 4 or 5 months to get it finished.
Agreed
Dude, I love your music and I am a loyal subscriber to you. I hope to be a musician like you too!
Esse é um dos melhores violões harpa do mundo. Duas músicas muitos emocionantes. DUANE NOBLE HARP GUITAR.
Damn, that harp guitar sounds HUGE!
"Star Trails (Part I)" is one of my favourites from Back and Forth album, I have no idea how he writes stuff like that, it's just brilliant. He is the king of fingerstyle original music.
He'll always be one of my go-to favorites for acoustic work and HUGE is right .. it sounds just glorious on my Sennheisers!

Thanks for taking us along on this beautifully emotional and expressive piece of art.
He makes it all look so easy! Between this song and Air Ground, Back & Forth is really something special!
Listening to this made me feel like i was drifting away to a place of peace. I felt my soul leave my body. Only to be lost in the music. Amazing piece! So atmospheric!
oh my god!!! he would make a grown man cry!! amazing as ever 😊
Antoine has the best harmonics I've ever heard. Ever. God bless you all.
I love you man, and your music you so masterfully create. Absolute insane perfection. I don't know why pop music is so popular and music like this is so widely unknown. You're one of the legends man. Keep at it. You're a inspiration.

Makes it easier to reach the top string. ;-)
Looks like Black Panther with those long nails.....
Beyond brilliant. You, sir, are a true blessing to music.

Nail-ed it!
I'll let myself out...
Comme d'habitude, c'est vraiment chouette ce que tu composes Antoine. Tu me donnes juste envie de me remettre sur ma guitare :)
Porte-toi bien.
Masterclass
Amazing!
The only person besides Alex Anderson who can make the harp guitar sound huge.
Absolutely amazing! Thx, Antoine!
Wonderful
omg this is awesome best!
I can imagine this sounds as deep as space when heard live.
I see you pull off with the left on the left index finger in the first song. The muting is incredible at the end on the second star trails song.
Unbelievable

Is that not what I said...?
yes I wanted to agree with you :D
tuyệt vời
perfectly
Damn waw 😍
Guitar Master ;)
I just can say: eargasm...
Also, what microphones are being used? Are they being used in conjunction with a pickup (or multiple pickups)? It's an amazing sound!
I realized a neural tag then... There are what we call learnings, aka "learning tags" that cause a shaking of grounds to awaken our hearts to "Valor" music. 💜💜💜💍🌐🏁
Glory Tags!
Antoines a bad ass----he keeps a rock concert appeal to it all. Get David Gilmour to lay a lead to it----Antoine got a fricken werewolf claw---awesome
Yeah, but can you play Stairway? Seriously mesmerizing Antoine, but I'll stick to 6 strings I think!
Anyone have any idea what microphones he is using? Bet they are the most expensive stuff
GeorgeNash I bet it's a pair of CharterOak.
Rémi Castinel thanks ;) Good to know what sounds cool haha
I think that even with the Thomann T. Bones which are same type of mics that costs 100€, if you put them the way I fill sound very good 👍
I gave a quick listen to some of your videos, that's cool 👍 how long since you started guitar mate?
Hey, I just seen that Mike Dawes posted a UK tour 2018, like 30min ago, I should hardly interest you. 👋
Just to clarify, this is what "on top of your game" looks like.
Is that capo holding only some of the strings? Of course that sort of thing must exist. Where else would it be but on a candyrat player's guitar lol
tenacious645 spider capo. You can get it on Amazon, not expensive.
An amazing song! I have to ask though, as someone who's not a guitarist, what's everyday life like with nails like that on your hand? I feel like you're going constantly be saying "I'm a professional guitar player" all the darn time. No worries, just the crazy thought in my head during quarantine.
Ele usa unhas postiças!
goddam I wanna play this song so bad but how does one play this shit on a mere earthbound six string
Keep Reaching for the Stars! ""Overlord Kerrya'" 😎👣🎄2017 😇
What pathetic person could vote this performance or song down?? Amazing.
