This is one of the best explanation of IP Addressing and Subnet Mask I’ve come across Explained in a fundamental way that at the end I can say I truly understand. Many don’t like to take their time and make a video well explained in understanding. You really covered it, thus I can also say, I now also understand gateway addressing. I on,y just last 2 days found your channel. Your. Very knowledgeable, but you stand out even more because you understand how to teach something seemingly difficult and make it easily understandable as well, you speak very clearly which is a huge plus.

Thanks for the video .. very helpful
Hi , I have a problem where i have 16 devices for each device we have
    1) same ip address
    2) default gateway is set to 0.0.0.0
each device need to communicate with a common PC
These settings can not be changed
so after seeing your video i am planning to use
    1) Stratix 5700 - Catalog number 1783-BMS20CGN :- it has 16 ports (for NAT)
    2) Stratix 5400)
    - 1783-HMS8TG4CGR : for routing
does the architecture will work with the all device with default gateway of 0.0.0.0

In order for routing to work you will need to provide a gateway.
