So, I'm currently in the process of "catching" my first brand deal, and decided to look up some videos regarding the process. Thank you SO much for sharing your insights about being rejected for not having the right audience for a product. As a musician who has been trying to land a deal with a particular brand, this completely opened my eyes and made me realize that my audience wants my music but doesn't necessarily want to *buy* the brand's products. This just sent my brain into hyperboost mode regarding what I want to do from here on out, so thank you so so so much.

Im a photographer, trying to work with outdoor brands. I am not trying to work on social media as an influencer. Only using it as a tool to connect with brands. Down the road when I grow a following Imay, but not now... My question is, as an outdoor adventure photographer, should I come up with stories I want to be shooting for brand when pitching? Like, I want to take X brand's products on a backcountry camping trip, etc. Should I be telling them what ideas I have, or should I ask if they have anything they need and see if I can fulfil their needs - as many brands seem to know what they want and are looking for this specific thing.
