@@arcaderetr0gamer I don't think he is missing anything (well not too much). He can not make Scoply change their lvl design at soon as it's released. I just hit level 38 and it feels like PMC is becoming more obsolete as a hostile grind crew, I'm actually glad for this because having only 1-2 hostile crews seriously slows down the grind. With these freebooters I'm looking at saving well over an hour of screen time grinding and can focus on other aspects of the game.
The freebooter firing pattern means that if you have Hugh below deck then own ship crits are almost guaranteed for the duration of the battle. This allows you to run SNW pike as captain, ship type snw crew alongside and Gorkon alongside....stack below deck for stat to support snw side officer and hit freebooter hostiles iaw battle triangle....ops 44 with 10 kills per hull from max ent v 45s with this set up.
Hey Rev, I am now at ops 40 but never got the relevant missions offered to open the exborg store. I hope your info will get me the exborg store to open. Thanks for this and other videos loaded with the helpful info we all need for Star Trek Fleet Command! Live long and Prosper!
With PMC on my level 44 Kelvin, I could clear out between 7 and 8 level 43 battleships per run. With Rev's META of SNW Uhura/Khan/Gorkon, I finally died on my 19th(!) 43 battleship. Clearly, this man knows what he's talking about. Great job, as always. NOW, what do we do to get more Ex-Borg rep, faster than 250 a day?
Perfect timing on this video, as my alliance was just discussing how to fight the Freeloaders. Was excited about the research, but it's going to be another grind to get it done unless you pay.
I have bought the Ex-borg pack and done the research, all I can say this has been the best £89.99 purchase on the game. I was able to kill 3 looters ships and 5 of dailys done. The reduction in grinding hostiles and warp time is great. People can focus more on events and other aspects of the game.
The prelude to enjoying this is to get a minimum of ExBorg rep. We really need to learn how to do this, as that chart of what to get is (at the start and not giving Scopley $100), only going for the first two on the very left of the research screen
This was so helpful. I've been having questions and not figuring some things out. Thank you so much. I do have a question, in the Ex-Borg research, what does Federation Attrition do? I'm clueless on it.
I love the fact it saves time. Will we miss out on the ship bp and speed up drops from actually killing the faction hostiles though? I see the freebooter ships drop broken ship parts for refining but nothing else.
I’m having great success with my 6M Auger using Spike, Ortega and La’an. I’m ops 38. Need to using combat triangle so hitting explorers. I am able to kill 6 for daily event and only have 35 minutes of repair time.
Reducing the grind for high end players, but not lower level players is just going to make it even harder to catch up. They need to accelerate lower levels so more players are at the content level scopely wants to work on. Then half their player base won’t be as frustrated.
What does the new prime do when it says a 50% bonus. It’s not a 50% reduction to base cost of G4 parts so what is it doing and how can I calculate it’s impact. The player base should get an explanation that sets real expectations before dropping a bill on a prime.
Rev, if you can, please help me with this. If I’ve added this up correctly, with all 3 faction sweeps researched, the net reputation gain per faction will be zero if a player completes the daily faction objectives. Yes, you grind less but get no benefit from reputation toward faction lock or the faction store. For example at my level, if I complete the Klingon hostile daily, I get 2.8 mil rep FOR the Klingons but LOSE 1.4 mil rep for Romulan and Feds. The same is for Romulan daily (+2.8 mil Rom & -1.4 mil Klingon & Feds) and Fed daily (+2.8 mil Feds & -1.4 mil Klingon & Roms). That equals a net gain of zero rep for all 3 factions. Therefore I would not get any increase in faction rep for either of the factions. I would not be able to lock the factions or get any other benefits being unlocked in the factions stores. There doesn’t seem to be any benefit in these sweeps unless the player doesn’t care about the rewards from the factions stores that become available as faction rep increases. IF we research these sweeps, is there a way to negate reputation losses from the daily faction objectives?
It might complete the daily but you then have the option to collect it or not....if you don't press the green tick then it times out and resets next day.
Love the content, but I am struggling at an even earlier stage than that lol. I have hit level 38 and am on the mission to unlock the store, but am being undone by the Freebooter guard. I can see it's different from normal Freebooters, being a pathfinder, and I've tried multiple ways to beat it, but am barely doing 15% damage overall. I don't have a lot of the epic officers and the combos I have no character is maxed yet. I do have Pike/Moreau Chen (also swapping Chen for Decius) and have tried that on the two most powerful ships I have, Voyager 2.2mil and the Defiant 1.8-9mil, against the 3.2mil guard, even trying a double tap between them on one occasion, but no luck. Perhaps I have misplayed something? I've only stuck with Federation faction ships along the way, but I have done research etc. to boost stats of ships/crews whenever I can so not been skipping ahead or anything? Any help would be grateful for as I'm properly stuck lol
Not sure if I'm missing something, but I still had to grind my 25 hostiles based on my Ops level. Also, the Freebooters didn't count for me towards my Faction Allegiance Keys daily. The did count towards my swarm and faction hostile dailies, but not the other two mentioned above.

Rev - Help! Need crew suggestions for Enterprise T3 LV 15. Yea I'm a little slow. I decided not to get it then changed my mind. Just got Ent last month and working hard trying to play catch up. I can kill 1 Freebooter with a boost from Cerritos with PMC. But the repairs are killing me. Thanks Rev
Is it really that good? I mean if you want to do the faction dailys, ok. But if you wanna do the normal red grind, I mean the 25 hostiles, you still need to kill 25 reds. I mean it's nice for swarm but not for normal reds or the daily where you get the faction allegiance token. For that you still need to kill 21 faction hostiles. If you don't do these dailys, then it's probably fine
Personally I think it's amazing. With the higher priorities I have in my life it means that on the days where I can only log in 20-30 minutes I can get the bulk of my dailies done including earning the relevant faction credits
Lorca has the chance to work from round 1, but can be more inconsistent than Gorkon in the long run. Since Freebooters fire 12 Shots each turn, Khan ramps the Crit Chance really quickly to trigger Gorkon. In 16 Rounds Gorkon triggered 28 Times, you wont run out of Hull Breach basically, while Lorca will always depend on your luck. 2 bad turns and you lost HB
On my auger in round 1 starting base of 9.7%. Crit ortegas + 15 so I start with 25% basically kahn firs round procked 5 times so for me another 20% with 1 proc so start round 2 so all shots round 2 already have at least a 50% chance
Besides the dailies (and paying), are there currently other ways to increase your exBorg reputation? I did the dailies but I'm not at 1250 rep (required for the research) yet
Anyone know where "FKR Hostiles" are found? I'm lvl 30 and got the even to kill these, event is called "Assimilate Choice (FKR) - SMS". It seems connected to the topic of this video as the dude in the picture is the same. Can mention that I just returned to the game after 3 year break last week so a lot is still new to me. Cheers :)
@@RevDeuce omg!! It was that easy. haha thanks, I in there killing fed hostiles now. I didnt think of that. I flew to serveral other systems like trade, borg etc and could understand it. Thanks again :)
This is just another mission I can't complete. I have been playing a couple of years and I haven't been able to unlock any of the new content in the past 6 months because my ships are not strong enough. I guess new players are not wanted in this game.
This will not help when pursuing Faction Rep and is no good for replacing Swarm grind, Borg grind etc as you need to be able to get the relevant components to upgrade the speciality ships, they only become useful when you max the ship in question. The efficiency research is great, the faction/speciality grind research, not a winner.
I noticed your ship is 12 mil strong. I am lvl 38, my strongest ship is just over 3 mil. So this may be good advice for those with deep pockets who buy ships but really isn’t helpful for those of us that refuse to buy our way through the game. There is a reason stfc allows lvl 38 ships to partake of freebooter dailies. They know most can’t complete the event without spending money.
So basically a lvl 45+ game now. Or for whales. This sucks .... I'm lvl 40 and the daily reqrs lvl 40 booters. Can't even do half damage. Plus you better be ready to spend to get these crews. $$$$$
Attention Scopely We need the grind reduction ability at lower levels. It makes no sense to restrict this to level 38.
In 4.5 years of playing this game, this is without a doubt the best thing they have ever done!
Has it really been that long? Wow.

Is Lorca a better option to Gorkon? I assume since his ability is not tied to a crit to proc, this would be the case.
Can be!
Those are the ways!
what is the crew for the enterprise then for hitting freeloaders?
Try SNW Spock (c), Khan, Gorkon?
Anyone know where "FKR Hostiles" are found? I'm lvl 30 and got the even to kill these, event is called "Assimilate Choice (FKR) - SMS". It seems connected to the topic of this video as the dude in the picture is the same.
Can mention that I just returned to the game after 3 year break last week so a lot is still new to me.
Cheers :)
FKR = Federation, Klingon, Romulan
@@RevDeuce omg!! It was that easy. haha thanks, I in there killing fed hostiles now. I didnt think of that. I flew to serveral other systems like trade, borg etc and could understand it. Thanks again :)
Hmmm, how quickly can I slog up to 38...
What about Pike/Chen/T’Lann as the crew? Anyone try that?
Same crews for an Interceptor? My main ship is a D4
Try SNW Uhura (c), Khan, Gorkon and hit Battleships only
@@gp8231 Works great. Thanks
This is just another mission I can't complete. I have been playing a couple of years and I haven't been able to unlock any of the new content in the past 6 months because my ships are not strong enough. I guess new players are not wanted in this game.
I'm level 39...and Never got the option
I use SNW Pike SNW Spock and Khan
Did you try SNW Spock (c), Khan, Gorkon?
@@gp8231 no I haven’t. But I will try them out
@@BlackMamba-up7ib Let me know the results, how many kills you get with either crew
I’m ops 38, but the mission isn’t in the holo deck 😡
did you get it? having the same problem
I kill way more with pike Moreau Chen on my kelvin than Picard bev Chen
as a ops 33 player, again nothing for me but more assimilate missions i cant complete!
Im struggling to even kill one level 43 freebooter with PMC.
What ship are you using?
Yo
First!!! :D
