As an ops 46 player, I recently finished my epic grind in Kronos, finally acquiring all 350 bp's for a Korinar. That grind took me about 3 months of grinding. This grind also put me at Leader standings with Feds and Guardian with Romulans. Not to mention all of the other drops (officer exp, speed ups and Ktinga & Borcha bps). Point is you can grind out the ops 46 rares, just takes time and a lot of effort.
Thank you for the vid! As a level 40 player, I’m always hesitant in attacking higher level hostiles. Your video gave me better insight in not having to travel 10 minutes into deep space to get rep, grinding and loot. Thanks again!
With the new 4* mining systems in Delta Quadrant, it is not as terrible for people to go up in rep before deep space now. If you can get someone clearing the heavies for you and just focus on the regulars with pmc then you are golden.
I'm lv 41, I grind the normal traders in these systems. Best grindy systems. On my server the regulars spawn on their own. usually 3-6 will spawn on their own
I remember taking down a normal trader in Kronos with a maxed Sallie at player ops level 29 ... that was fun. :) Took me four attempts, but I didn't die even though "losing" the battle (round limit).
I ground out the Valdore, Ktinga, Bchor and Vorta Vor almost entirely from Cap system normal transport grinding for my dailies every day, mainly with an Ent and the the Jelly when I got it. Only thing I’ve noticed that’s weird is that Sol seems to spawn sooooo many less normal traders.
Maxed B'rel with mid level PMC can take out the regular transports (not heavy) which can be an amazing points scorer for hostile events. Sometimes it cant get the kill in 100 rounds of combat, so you get to attack them again on low hull/shield for an extra victory.
I think that there's a couple of math issues that you left out. I hit 65 Heavy/capital traders in Kronos, and got 2 chests (guess what.....no BPs) At that rate, I'd need to hit 3250 to get 100 chests. Given the typical Scopley drop rate if I was to use this method to grind BPs it would probably take all year, or a couple of years to get enough BPs to build a ship.
As always good advice about punching up. But in this instance, you gave Scopely a HUGE pass, on the fact that those systems are bugged on regular vs. Heavy transport rates. The rates of regulars were much higher that they are today due to stuck hostiles with a similar situation to the mantis hostiles. It just doesn’t get as much attention because it’s not tied to a pay-for feature/ship unfortunately. Lower levels use to have a lot of fun grinding those regular capital ships, due to Scopely’s incompetence, and everyone’s acceptance of their very very low quality now, low quality seems to be just accepted as the norm. Which is a very sad state of affairs. I’m saying that as a lover of all things Star Trek…and usually a promoter of the game.
Your PMC K'Tinga is missing a below deck officer. Sol and Kronos spawn regulars for every regular killed, assuming you don have stuck hostiles. You don't need to clear heavies. If you're having spawning issues, go to Galaxy view and then back to System view.
Well, sure enough - you're right Rev. Used the Mudd/Bev/Khan line up, hit a heavy with my T4 Augur (I'm L39), and killed it. Could only kill 1 before dying on the 2nd. But maybe once Im T5 I can get 2.
As an ops 34 player, shhhhh....don't tell others the secret. There's already enough competition from the high level players in the capital systems. Lol.

Also, the importance of the Lead Expedition ATA, rep (60%) and ops (-2) levels required to start buying the next ship bps cannot be stressed enough. Thanks for the video, Rev!
Interesting information. As a level 29 player, I am always pushing the envelope on how high I can go. I am usually surprised by just how high I can punch. 😊😅
I built a fleet of G4 ships out of capital system grinding, and I don't use G4 ships for the grind because they're just too expensive to operate. I recommend people to move your station to nearby system and just use your good old G3 epics to grind. I use D4 for the heavies (just the classic PMT with below deck officers like Hugh and Mariner, I get about 10 kills per hull) and Ent with PMc for the reg transports.
Thanks so much for this one rev, been hitting my head against a wall on these ones, i almost guessed the right crew for heavies the other day but had gorkon instead of mudd, it finished my para bellum event but yeah now i can kill a couple in augur while enterprise hits the others:)
Here's the crews to use: under 42 use blue bev as capt with meth Mudd and either khan or talaan or Nero or GG as capt, snw hemmer and tal. If 42 and above pmt works as well as snw officers. Plus per hit they offer the highest rep gain till 185 warp space
I use my maxed Augur with Cpt 5of11 + Georgiou (Rank 4) + Tyler (maxed) With my strongest Attack Officers Heavies & normal captial Freighters die in 11 rounds Because of hull research i am able to 10 before i have to repair
Limited success here T4 Auger with punch up crew took the heavy to roughly half health. The regular transports with PMC are 3 but are over 100 rounds so 6 attacks.

You need to make a much more specific video for mid to low-level 30 players on how to do this. What you showed in the video isn't specific enough to ship tiers and officers' levels
Guess that depends on you. I used this same method as a mid-30s player and several have already come to me with SS in the same situation who are able to replicate my success. it is possible others are too high leveled without proper ships/officers, though.
Do you get more BPs from grinding a capital system like Kronos vs. grinding the 49s & 50s in the deep space part of that same faction's territory? Because I can kill a lot more of the deep space ships than the heavy transports at my lvl.

Enterprise had PMC on it, not cath crew. you'll need a 4* ship if you're trying to do that.
Would it be just as efficient to grind BPs from hostiles in the Yarega system (Fed)? Does anybody know the comparative drop rates for BPs?
nothing beats capital system if you're going after G4 bps, and rares don't drop until you hit 50+ hostiles in deep space. upper 40 systems like Yarega will drop more G3 rares than anything else
How do you tell the difference between heavies and regular transport
It's in their name
Im a L40. What can I hit? My Stella is 932k; My Enterprise is 3.24M; my Intrepid is 2.35M. I have PMT&;. 5-9/11; Bev, Khan, Gorkon & Riker. Pls advise.
Your ships are very underpowered/weak for your level. Pike-Moreau-Chen on your ENT should be able to take out the regular transports though.
10K rep per hour? I do 10 mill in a hour
Can I get like level 41 BPs if I’m only level 39 Ops?
Are the blueprint drops depending on level?
Drops are based on the hostiles you hit not your Ops level.
