I cried twice during the show: 1) Ep. 11 when Clay is on the top of the mountain listening to his tape and 2) Ep.13 when Sky ask Clay if he is okay and he says no ( the moment he said no I bursted into tears and thinking about it now makes my eyes water) I am not sure why but the vulnerability of it gives me such a cense of reality in the fact that maybe I am NOT okay, but is fine. Ps: while typing "I am NOT okay" almost made me cry.
I never understood how people interpret this show as glorifying or romanticizing suicide. It's like we didn't watch the same show. I also want to add that I Don't think Alex shot himself. Tyler shot him and probably made it look like suicide. That's how I took it when Tyler took down Alex's photo. 1 down.
Amen, thank you! Those people who say it glorifies or romanticizes suicide puzzle me. That and just never satisfied with any show depicting real issues..
I think what they meant by it glamorising suicide is that afterwards you will be forever remembered and have a huge impact on everyone and be seen as a "tragic hero". that's what I sort of felt about it.

His closet is neat and tidy because of how his father raised him. Yeah, he's an officer, but he has that military personality and raised his sons like so
Allen Payne But Hanna wasn't raised in a military family. Idk, I just didn't interpret it that way because we know the household environment Alex was raised in, so it makes sense. I can't see why they would do another suicide story. It looked like they were setting it up that Tyler shot Alex and that's why we see him putting his weapon away
Allen Payne Yes but something is really suspicious about it. From a writing stand point it makes no sense to drag out suicide. The storyline will flow better if it was just Hannah. There's just something off about Alex's "suicide attempt". How did Tyler know before everyone else? He took down his picture for a reason

Didn't the principle say he tried to kill himself? I think the weapons Tyler has tells me he is planning a columbine type shooting at the school.
