My favorite map is Australia. I love hunting crocs and all of the deer species and the scenery is beautiful

I've played this game for a very long time and here's my opinion on the maps rn:
1. Revontuli: Revolutionary amount of species and actually huntable anywhere on the map (not just water sources)
2. Vurhonga: Not what it used to be with splitting the home ranges up but it has the most unique species. (We really need 2.0)
3. Emerald coast: Lots of unique species, generally a good map
4. SRP: Definitely not as good as it was on release day, but still ok feed zone hunting.
5. Yukon: Still too hard to hunt feed zones for anything but wolves but easily the pretties map in the game
6. Te Awaroa: Really fun map to hunt with great species but as you said the great one grinding ruined it (and the game overall)
7. Parque: The only home range rework that was flawlessly good, love being able to hunt the lakes at the edge of the map now.
8. Cuatro: Adding pheasants was great, good map overall but the map needs slightly more animals feeding in the fields imo.
9. Hirschfielden: Decent map rn, no further comment.
10. Layton: Used be be amazing but the home range rework made it almost impossible to hunt more than one species at a time.
11. Medved: Much needed animals were added but ur still forced to target a specific species whenever you hunt.
12. New England: Releasing this map kinda ruined the game for me, but the map itself is ok, despite having no unique species.
13. Rancho: Used to be my #1 and still would be if the rework didn't ruin it.
14. Mississippi: Species aren't that unique anymore and the fields are kind of lacklustre nowadays.
As you can see the reworks were a good idea, especially adding the new species was amazing but the execution was more often than not flawed.

I agree with your list almost perfectly , but Rancho is by far my most hated, don't find my self returning. Mississippi improved dramatically once I placed some tree stands. Parque I would switch with Hersh
Why did New England ruin the game for you?
My least played map and the one I like the least has to be Layton because not that interesting species very brushy and you can hunt all species except jackrabbit and elk on other maps. But not a bad map tho. After hunting Layton a bit I will say it’s not bad but theres other maps I’d rather play. And it’s a nostalgic map.

Yukon Valey is also my favorite map : snow on and off, grizzly, wolf, bison, moose, ...

Currently playing Yukon for the first time and love it. There are moose and bison everywhere, so easy to hunt. Wolves are alot harder to find for me so far

My favourite is also yukon. First dlc that i bought, i knew it was "the map". I still play it the most, my favourite grind is my moose grind on this map.
moose hunting on there is amazing! one of the many reasons it’s my favorite aswell!

Vurhonga is my favorite. I have a bit of a bias for African game, and they have a good amount I’ve managed to snipe. My least favorite so far is Parque Fernando. I don’t think I ever managed to claim a single trophy. It’s so dang hard. The land is difficult to get around.
Can’t say I can rank them as I’m relatively new to the game, I have them all but haven’t played them enough ones I have played I’d rank

Pretty nice to see a ranking video that doesnt feel like its just 100% the same opinion as everyone else. I own every map and find it hard to numerically rank them but ill say i dont really play yukon or parque like ever now.
Probably spend most my time on te awereoooaaa and emerald coast (i dont GO grind not my playstyle)
I really enjoy cuatro but i think we really need an ibex remodel, didnt think they looked bad when the map came out...but now they kinda do.
NEM and mississippi are maps i visit a decent amount, i like that this game has varity and like a kinda difficulty slider like i can play srp on easy mode or go play on hard mode in mississippi.
The new map i think is gonna end up in my frequently visited rotation once im sort done only hunting that map as its the new shiny toy lol

I think the best map is the one you hunt the most. I love Quatro! But I hunt it a lot.
1. Rancho 2. New England 3. Revontuli
Fowl and small game are my favorite things to hunt and these maps offer quite the variety and are all great for getting lost in.
Small game is fun to hunt! love those maps!
Mississippi is unplayable to me, can't stand the setting, music sucks, hunting sucks, and the storyline is straight-up cringe. Only map I skipped after about five hours.
Definitely give it another try! If you really give it a chance it can be pretty fun!
Fair opinion. Not every map is for everybody, but thats a good thing! It means that the game has variety!
I’m from Tennessee so hits closest to home out of any of them not the swamp but species but it’s so challenging getting a good trophy is my favorite part but being an older release graphics looks a little off to me
Music is great.
Yea the race baiting story then oppressed woman points of interest killed it for me big time. Then making americans look like trashy trailer park racist slobs really killed it. Complete trash.

S-Tier: Yukon, SRP, Medved
A+ -Tier: Emerald, Layton Lakes , Revontuli
A-Tier: Te Awaroa, Cuatro Colinas
B-Tier: Hirschfelden, Rancho
C-Tier: Parque Fernando, Vurhonga Savanna
D-Tier: New England & Mississippi

i am definitely a rookie hunter and havent played every map but id have to say that vurhonga is defintley my favorite mainly because all the animals are unique and its a pretty easy map to hunt on
it is a pretty good map!
I swear im the only person who actually likes to hunt in this game😂 The thicker the map the better imo
Mississippi is my fav but i respect the opinion you seem to have a good balance compared to most creators
i try to keep it balanced😂 i don’t hate any of the maps, i just like some more than others. Mississippi has gave me some pretty good trophies!
I am also a big fan of Mississippi. I love roaming the fields and hunting the smaller game and wild hogs. I also really enjoy New England mountains. At the end of the day, it comes down to the players hunting style. I prefer the thicker maps that require more stalking to track down an animal

it’s a good map if you give it a chance!
Now that Nepal is out. Sadly, I'm not crazy about the Nepal map. Its in my bottom third. Its too hilly and ridgy, most animals cant be called in then they're hard to stalk because youre stuck crawling up to them at 60 yards because they're behind a ridge or hill, also the animal population needs to be tweaked, its too low right now. The implementation of the Tiger is great though.

I'm a stalker. Hunting on foot. I like all the maps, but sunny maps like more. layton, Revontuli, Te Awaroa, Mississippi periodically exhausts my eyes with fog. Rancho, Cuatro, SRP are the best, because no geese, no ducks, no fog, only clear weather and silent.
i do like the occasional hunt like that! i love the early mornings on SRP in the mountains, sky looks incredible!

good video almost same than me and revontuli coast missions are so boring because finland is boring also :D and there is not that much animals what we hunt in finland like red fox, brown hare , european beaver, pheasant, baltic sea dog, canada beaver, ermine, muskrat, otter, wild boar so many nice and beautiful species missing in this map so that's why we need revontuli coast 2.0 also :)

That makes me so angry. You can not rate maps when a new one comes out. Obviessly you will like that map the most. Imagine vorhonga would come out the same day. The rate would be much diffrent

Yukon is good but sundar Puton looks like a banger and it is in no way better then emerald and sliver
like i said personal opinion, i find it way better than both of those maps! excited for sundarpatan as well!

that would be pretty rough😂 i live in an high desert area here in Utah and sometimes the Juniper trees are so thick the mulies just disappear so i can understand that!
@@steelegoatgaming we’ve got autumn olive/ red osser dogwoods patches that get thicker then a dogs back same with black/raspberry and green briar thickets along with multiflora rose which is invasive but good bedding cover
