Agree. And this is coming from a 55 S90D owner (got on paid review). The only real “updates” are a bit brighter out-of-the-box & better UI. Still same exact Gen 2 panel at 55 & 65in. 77 S90D *may* get Gen 3, time’ll tell.. If so, that’s the TV of the year imo, hands down. You can easily buy a S89C/S90C & get the same Gen 2 panel as the current S90D. Here’s the kicker: If you go into the service menu, you can tweak some settings to really max out brightness. So much so that the S89C, S90C & S90D are practically identical. Personally getting 2k nits peak brightness & around 1300 on 10%.

What a stupid comment. The LG C4 And Samsung S90D 42” and 48” all use the LG WOLED display. That’s a technology that amplifies the panel’s whiteness. QD stands for quantum dot, which is vastly superior to WOLED.
@@christopherarocha92 I had the 48” of both as a monitor and took them back because I couldn’t justify the price. You can get a great QD- OLED monitor for less.

I would have to agree with the Display guy, the difference between the 90c and the new 90d is slight but the price difference is huge between the two panels. The 95d makes sense if your going to place it in a bright room with a lot of windows 😳
Both TVs handle reflections well and can be used in daylight as long you don’t have a window straight behind but even there the D serie or oled not the best. I wouldn’t worry with B, C or D in this regard, here I find the Qleds actually being worse.
where can we get information on the panel lottery? is there a way to know if past or worst versions have been removed from circulation? I though this was an issue only with the cell phone screens
Back when the 3DS XL came out, even those had a panel lottery. You either got an IPS top screen, bottom screen, or both. If you were very unlucky, both screens were just awful LCD panels.
I agree but Samsung usuaually break their firmware before that or sometimes even at real ease with qled and local dimming. The S90C is one that kept it a little longer but now got firmware issue, Black Friday is nice but need to be up to date on firmwares buying TVs. It is sadly a reason these things happpen.
You got a great tv and improvements since 2022 are still very low in gain (S95B/A95L) and not worth it for G4. Depending on firmware I think you be fine for another 2 year, don’t think we get a miracle next year neither beside the tiny improvements.
Can an S90D owner please answer this question??? I would really, really like to know how "youtube" looks on the 77" S90D. (I watch 70% youtube and 30% Netfix or other streaming service)
i dont have a issue with this cause i know the woled 48 inch is fine. i have a lg 48 c1 and can not have another lg tv due to one remote controls both lg tvs so im fine
The S95D runs way too hot and as such will more than likely not be long lasting also the reflective ability is not as good as the S90D there are tos and fros but the recent drop in price of the S90D makes much more sense.
This guy sucks, according to him the S95D isn't good cause of it's matte coating. THAT'S YOUR OPINION!!. I like the matte coating cause now I have almost no reflections.
Bessere Preis, Verarbeitung, guter Halter inclusive, bessere Software, Dolby Vision. Hello everyone! I wanted your opinion regarding my current situation of S90D So basically, I got a really sweet deal on the S90D 77" which was here on HUGE sale in Middle east Saudi Arabia for around 2300$ which is super nice for that price! I used to have a Sony x9000h 75" but decided to upgrade, anyways the issue is I just found out after making the purchase and awaiting the delivery that there is some sort of panel lotteries specifically in the S90D lineup that you could get a WOLED panel in that TV. After extensive research I have found out that my TV is going to be WOLED and not QD-OLED in Saudi Arabia which was a bummer to me honestly. Nevertheless, people were saying i'm going to have blast either way since i'm coming from a regular LED TV and I agree. But I wanted to take your opinion guys regarding this, since after seeing the comparisons between WOLED and QD-OLED that the colors are SO much more vibrant and nicer in the QD-OLED. so should I return the TV and get the S90C for the same exact price or should I just continue with this purchase and it's going to be nice still? Keep in mind that the only S90C that is left that I can take is the one displayed in their store, and it's in the same exact price of the S90D that I'm getting and it's brand new, and in that case I would be guranteed a QD-OLED display since I think that there were no WOLED panel in the S90C lineup. Appreciate you guys for reading this and taking the time, anyone's opinion is welcome and looking forward to hear from you guys! Love from Saudi 💙

New S90C - 65 inch for $1300 or new S90D - 65 inch for $1600? Loos like lots of firmware updates released for both. Pulling the trigger in 3 days.
Only a single size is QD-OLED where I live, everything else is WOLED without MLA. Also no sizes outside of 55, 65 & 77 are qd-oled anywhere!!
According to Consumer Reports the 90D has excellent motion handling and sound quality while the 90C only scored very good. Saw the 90C at Costco and the stuttering on slow panning shots could be a deal breaker for some.
Just got the 77” S90D here a couple days this thing is a monster, I have a 65” S95C in the bedroom, Minimal difference in picture, but Samsung killing it with the QD OLED
Which has the better picture between the two?
How’s the 48 inch and 42 inch models stack up since they are not QD panels
they are the same lol no such thing as QD i think thats just the first and last letters of the serial numbers, the 48 also has them
What a stupid comment. The LG C4 And Samsung S90D 42” and 48” all use the LG WOLED display. That’s a technology that amplifies the panel’s whiteness. QD stands for quantum dot, which is vastly superior to WOLED.
@@naegleriafowleri2230the 48 inch only has WOLED. I’ve read about this online
LG WOLED at this size.
@@christopherarocha92 I had the 48” of both as a monitor and took them back because I couldn’t justify the price. You can get a great QD- OLED monitor for less.
I have the Samsung s90c 55-in I got it 3 months ago I wonder if it's a second generation panel without having to go in and mess with stuff to find out but I love my TV I haven't had any bugs not one but thing has been running amazing I think I just got lucky I guess
The s90d is way cheaper then the is lg g4 seen the 55 inch s90d for 1200 bucks in the us
the problem with the S90C is the panel lottery, you don't know if you are getting a gen 1 or a gen 2 panel
Price is always terrible at the launch for these units.
77 S95D 4300 after tax in Canada.
No-one who doesn't have a lot of money to burn should buy these TVs before September at the earliest. By Black Friday, price will be cut in half
@@Oshadorin I just got mine for less than Black Friday before it even came out. Visions Canada
I have a question ⁉️ I have the s95c do i need to upgrade?
No. G4 is better imo, but it’s mostly due to accuracy rather than brightness or other things most buyers care about.
@@thedisplayguy got ya my guy thanks 👍🏾 will be sticking with it till next year 🙂
You got a great tv and improvements since 2022 are still very low in gain (S95B/A95L) and not worth it for G4.
Depending on firmware I think you be fine for another 2 year, don’t think we get a miracle next year neither beside the tiny improvements.
Yes - immediately
@DS-wb2we nahhh bro I did my research. The s95c is better in color
I thought the secret menu wasn't available in the s90d.
I know how to get in.

Can an S90D owner please answer this question??? I would really, really like to know how "youtube" looks on the 77" S90D. (I watch 70% youtube and 30% Netfix or other streaming service)
Be careful. The 77" S90D is equipped with a woled (LG) panel in many regions. You can check this in the model number (DAT qd oled, DAE woled).
@@apszika NOT in the US. 100% QDOLED!
@@thetrumanshow4791 You are lucky. 👍😊
Good with ps5 pro?
I heard this model could either be woled or qdoled depending on region ?
Depending of size
What’s the difference?
man this is to confusing can someone explain me this thing :( :(?
In greece according to samsung hellas the s90d in all sizes are woleds and NOT qd-oleds
Its brighter only on paper compared to LG C4. I've watched a lot of other videos, the LGC4 is brighter overall.
Has someone compared the S90c with the soft mod to the S90D?
ABL agressive?
i dont have a issue with this cause i know the woled 48 inch is fine. i have a lg 48 c1 and can not have another lg tv due to one remote controls both lg tvs so im fine
@@Anarchy240hz what’s wrong with the LG one remote? I’ve never had an LG tv before.
The S95D runs way too hot and as such will more than likely not be long lasting also the reflective ability is not as good as the S90D there are tos and fros but the recent drop in price of the S90D makes much more sense.
Should I upgrade from s95c to s90d?
no
@@Deffinnitionwhy
Also the 42 and 48 inch model just came out which are 3rd gen panels
They are LG panels...WOLED.
I was considering getting a s90D around black Friday unless I can be assured I'm getting a QD OLED and at a reasonable price.
You can check this in the model number. DAE woled, DAT qd oled.
I am seeing DAF. What's that?
@@kirankumar-pk4jb Yes, DAF it also has QD oled panel. 👍
Your video is obviously outdated. The prices of Samsung TVs are extremely competitive.
This guy sucks, according to him the S95D isn't good cause of it's matte coating. THAT'S YOUR OPINION!!. I like the matte coating cause now I have almost no reflections.
Yes and now you have reduced picture quality. I'm glad you like it but glossy is better

Samsung, what happen to the 3k nit display...
Samsung, what happen to the better processor...
Ive only seen praise for the new processing....
Click bait and nonsense. The S95D doesn’t have a normal matte coating and it looks great.
Bessere Preis, Verarbeitung, guter Halter inclusive, bessere Software, Dolby Vision.
Meine Zimmer ist 40m², Entfernung 5,5-7,5m, mein aktueller TV...65" Plasma vom Panasonic.
This video is not good, I dont think your as educated about tv’s as you lead on to be.

horrible tv's.
lifespan half that of lg oleds. just way to much contrast for organic oled. alot of complains already, just one year after release
Hello everyone!
I wanted your opinion regarding my current situation of S90D
So basically, I got a really sweet deal on the S90D 77" which was here on HUGE sale in Middle east Saudi Arabia for around 2300$ which is super nice for that price!
I would definitely choose the qd oled s90c. Anyway You can check this in the model number. DAE woled, DAT qd oled.

Not buying any damn oled tvs at all who will have time to baby sit a tv just not to get burn in or image retention negative and these tvs are not cheap I think for the money you spend you shouldn’t get any of those issues
