    Hobbyist microprocessors are a great way to bridge the gap between technologies from different eras (as Lady Ada is showing with her work with old floppy drives!). Adafruit rules!

    if you use one of those old silver "magic jack" usb dongles you can just hook it up normally via phone line, read the keyed in numbers, use the mic and speaker as audio devices, and even MAKE IT RING somehow magically on USB power. they had a Tigerjet560 chip that did a bunch of cool phone stuff.

    Was looking for a way to use a rotary phone. This is completely useless if you need to use an ipad or other input.
