I think this is a really good hire especially considering the circumstances. He is a young coach who will retain 95% of the roster who has recruited and developed extremely good offenses. A good hire with potential for great upside

The reason in my mind this was announced on Sunday was the transfer portal closes July 2. He needs at least all of monday to see what he can retain. Probably at work now. Haven't heard good things about Max and him being narcissistic. Notice none if any pitchers followed. DBU coach would have been fine but would have gone into rebuilding phase for a few years.
Vittello was just a coaches son , lets see what Early can do , once an Aggie always an Aggie.
Don’t hire old timers to work for a young coach - won’t work . Lots of great young coaches out there. Those younger coaches will be great for recruiting. Early might be young , but he has plenty of experience , the players like him , he’s a stand up guy , and he’s not a sleazy scumbag .
He blew Trev away when he answered the one question every other candidate failed on. “Would you accept this job if offered?” That plus low salary demands carried the day.
Yeah right. Earley was probably the first choice of the candidates.

@@davidzee641 he probably didn’t know he was a candidate and instinctively followed his boss. I know one of the players was blindsided by this and didn’t like it and judging by the players love for him, I’m guessing earley was that guy.
They did it today and not tomorrow because we're up against the portal deadline.

IDK what to think. This process ideal should have taken a month not five days. It seems like 5th or 6th choice with time running out. The dude could be the best baseball hire A&M ever made or he could turn out awful and have the Aggies looking for a new coach in two years. It's just a massive unknown.

This process had to happen fast......otherwise they would lose most of the players to the transfer portal. Players have 30 days to transfer after a Coach moves on. The faster a coach is in place.....the more time he has to speak to the players and keep them on the Aggie squad. Some may stay and some may go. The transfer portal can work out in one’s favor and sometimes it does not.

@TylerEubank Chris parks had little to do with the success of that program. Did we fall apart after he left? Was there a reason we don't know about on why he was let go? Schlossnagle didn't realize the backlash and he is using that as an excuse. Why wasn't he raising hell before? Why didn't he threaten to quit or use that as a reason before he left? Why isn't Chris parks employed by Texas now? It had absolutely nothing to do with it, Schloss is a snake
