How to locate the Centroid of a Triangle

In this video we are going to learn how to find the centroid (also called barycenter, geometric center, center of mass) in a given generic triangle using a compass and a ruler.

This doesn't prove the line of intersection is the centroid. It just connect midpoints to corners. The midpoint could actually be a smaller triangle, you just can't tell from this resolution. Even if that is the midpoint, what kind of midpoint is it? This video is insufficient.
