I"m an audio engineer for a living and I'm not keen on that method. I do have a passenger seat on it now and I will strap my audio recorder (used here) on it facing backwards. My body should block the wind. I'll give this a try soon...if it will ever stop raining here...
@@jonnymac8925 I wish I knew. I've researched and found no documents. I stayed with Indian to keep my warranty, but Lloyds makes a couple of more aggressive grinds. Running a hi-flow intake, better exhaust and a tune will be required regardless. I now have a tune on the bike with my PVCX. Glad you liked it!
Nice, but I prefer the quiet version. I ride to work (hospital). I'm saving money to buy this exact motorcycle. Thank you sir for this video and what a beautiful bike!
Sounds so great with that idle rumble in stage 2....i hesitate so much to spare money for this cause here in France laws become very annoying about noise and mods on bike :-/ i think basanni's exhaust are quieter, or maybe TAB with middle size baffles. Thanks for that vids of quality
Do you have a fuel tuner? I have similar set up minus the true duals from freedom which I am considering buying. I have a power commander which was recommended at the dealer when I had cams installed. I find that the idle seems almost too low sometimes once the bike is warmed up. Almost sounds like it is going to stall sometimes.
Dana Hansen not yet. I'm on the factory stage 2 reflash and I think it's a bit lean. When hot, she'll get a bit cranky when idling. A PC is next on my list. These tunes are constantly being updated I'm told. I have baffled Freedom pipes and love them. I tried the unbaffled. They were way too loud and sounded like metal garbage cans.
I have now purchased a PV-CX. No need to install anything, just reflash the ECU through the diagnostic port. My bike idles better and the decel popping has been 95% eliminated. Plus a little more grunt below 2500rpm.
I responded in the wrong place so I’ll respond here as well. The pipes are the 4 inch Liberty model and they only make one model of black true dual headers. Keep in mind that I’m running the stage 2 cams also.
What's that ticking sound at about 1:34? And... 2:40... the Freedoms... that level of sound is an instant defect notice here in Australia, sadly.. loss of rego + have to go over pits and pay for re-reg (about $600 + whatever the fine is now). Too loud.

Bálint Fucskó I don’t know the exact model number but you need the true dual headers and they only make one of those that’s black. The pipes are the 4 inch Liberty model.
This is a 2017. The "rattle" is really just the mechanics of the internals. I was warned that the hi-flow air intake would allow you to hear that more. Also, this the factory Stage 2 tune. I added a PVCX shortly afterwards and it idles a bit better.
Good comparison, If I trade off my Stratoliner (super bike by the way) next bike would need electronic cruise, and if for a Chieftain, I'd want the bags, deep fenders, Stage 2 upgrade only, not sure about windshield or a fairing.
@@ut1004bp I actually put a quick release windshield and soft bags on the bike. The windshield really helps at highway speeds but as it gets hotter, I'm using it less. But I do want to go longer distances, so next time, I will buy a fairing bike for sure.
She has a very lopey idle around 800rpm. On the factory Stage 2 tune (this video), she would stall on occasion when hitting the throttle too quickly. But I have since purchased a PVCX tuner from FuelMoto and uploaded their version of the Stage 2 tune and no more stalling since then. She still has that mean sounding big cam idle though! :)
Thanks for the reply. Are you still at 800rpms with the PCVX? Or did you increase the rpms. Mine are at 900-950. I will post a video in a few minutes. thanks for your reply. Nice bike.@@unsane

And stage 2 upgrade will be one of the first things I do
( the bike sounds so badass in idle)
Enjoy the bike 👍
That stage 2 Freedom is to DIE FOR. God bless you bro.
Working on a set up to record while riding without the wind noise.
Maybe you could even try an in-helmet mic.

Stage 2 sounds necessary now, thanks
Don't forget the Dynojet PCVX tuner. The factory stage 2 tune has issues.
love the stance

You gotta rev it more than that. Won’t hurt the engine! Especially doing it once just for a video. Make it count
Now what lie to tell my wife that I need these 😆

Their seems to be a noticable metallic sound with stage 2
Correction...with stock
It's just the tone of the stock exhaust. It's very quiet, but you get a little snap to it. The pipes do sound a bit clangy as well.
Low idle ☠️👌
