      @GoPhallecycling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks brother. st540 is a good bike. What is your use case? If you want to do long rides on the road and fast, go for a road bike or a hybrid. Slow rides on the road, or offroad then MTB is good.

    cool, I watch all your long ride videos. I am not a regular cyclist. I have basic geared hybrid cycle (15k rs). Last Diwali I did around 575 km ride in three days from my place to Virpur in Gujarat which organized every year by local group. It was my first long ride on cycle without any enough practice, may be one couple of days of normal cycling, but the experience was too good. I did not face any of cycle or personal issue during this. Now I am doing daily cycling for 20 km on different route. I would like to do one ride to Saputara in Gujarat which is 120 km from my place Navsari near Surat. Saputara it is a famous hill station and so I want to experience this climbing. I need to know what kind of cycle is best for long riding in which I can have good speed, comfort? Thanks....

      Good to hear about your experience. The answer to your question on which cycle is best for long rides depends on a few factors. Your budget, riding style (less breaks or more breaks) and how much weight you carry with yourself, and how fast you want to ride. . In budget you can go for a hybrid cycle around 30k rs. It's light weight so it will be better for long rides. Road bikes start at 50k. They are fast but not suited to carry a lot of weight. Then high end MTB or touring bikes or gravel bikes are great to carry good luggage but comparatively little bit slow. You can start with a decent hybrid I feel

      @@GoPhallecyclingThanks for the reply....As I said in my last comment that I am doing daily cycling for 20 km. And this takes one hour with one break of 2 mnt for drinking water only. I would like to increase this speed to around 25-30 km/hr with same pace (not sure if it is possible or not). My height is 5.5 feet and weight is 84 kg and my target is to reach 65 kg. I know currently my weight is also a factor that reduce the speed. But is there any particular brand/model that you can suggest for this? I checked triban rc 120 reviews of decathlon, but little confused. I also need to know that is it ok to purchase it online or should buy from near by store. What are other technical things that needs to check while buying it. Thanks again for spending your valuable time for the reply....

      @@sdpatel28 Being consistent will help you increase the speed, Yes equipment also matters like the cycling jersey you wear, how much weight you are carrying, your bike, your aero position on the bike, etc
      RC 120 is a good road bike to start with. Many of my friends are using it. I would say best for a beginner with a budget of less than 50k. Better to buy it offline as you can do a test tide first and then buy.
      The bike should be of the right size to your height and overall comfortable for you.

    Hi mate, great video, very informative!
    I'm going on a 300km ride (tomo) solo from Cochin to Kanyakumari. The farthest I've rode till now is 150kms but I'm confident I can do it. Is there any advice on pacing you can give me ? I'm planning to start by 5ish tomorrow and hoping to reach by 10 at night

    • @GoPhallecycling
      @GoPhallecycling  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, that's great to know. Yes so for pacing I would suggest, stop at every 50km for a refuelling break, drink and eat at least 200-300 calories per hour.
      In the start it may seem too much but when the heat kicks in, that extra calories you ate helps a lot.
      Ride slower than your avg speed in the first 150kms. Don't stop other than those 50km stops. Keep you HR in control, use your gears properly meaning don't exhaust yourself by being on the big gear on flyovers and climbs if any.
      I think this much is enough, go for it. Stay safe, all the best.

      @@GoPhallecycling that's great advice . 50kms is a good enough gap I feel but I was planning to not cycle between 12 and 2 . Will this be counter productive ?

    • @GoPhallecycling
      @GoPhallecycling  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sidharthwarrier9001 You can do that, but then you would get late reaching home right? Riding alone in the dark on Indian highways is not something I would recommend 😅😅
