Great Game as always.
You shouldn't have been rolling to see if your units would stay around at the beginning because even though your unit is not in good spirits because you didn't have enough teams bailed in you don't roll to see if they run because the unit had not suffered any casualties yet.
The first line for being in good spirits is "it does not have any teams bailed out or destroyed" the way Phil has described how this works is that if you don't have any teams destroyed you will never roll for good spirits even if none of the other requirments are met.
I do think this could be writen a lot better because most people read this rule as the way you played it.

It probably would have helped me but I imagine the ASU-85s would have concentrated on the bailed out Bradleys and knocked them out pretty quickly.

I enjoyed that, the chaos and randomness of it all set it up to challenge both of you to do your best with a far from ideal start. I'll have to give the scenario a go

I love the aesthetic of team yankee, but the game feels so imbalanced. With the current point system it's almost idiotic to play NATO forces. Presuming equal skill between players in unit placement and rule knowledge the quality NATO forces are too easy to kill for their points. A H1AC has a 34.7% chance to die against anything with frogfoot quality AT (and there is enough to be beyond a mild annoyance or only available to specific lists). On the contrary, it only has a 27.7% (T80) or 46.3% (B-series) chance to kill the armor it meets. Given the amount of dice thrown on each side, the odds are already against the NATO player. Oddly enough, this point inflation also affects NATO infantry. Compound this with the varied tactics the Soviets can 'afford' to employ, I'm amazed soviets don't win every game.
Thanks! Nato forces can and will win however I get your point. With any of the high end tanks you won't see them in many tournaments. They are just too expensive for what they do in my opinion.. I have more success running M60s and cheap M1s then the high end stuff.

Your best Team Yankee battle yet. Crazy mission with the airborne. Those poor Bradleys just could not get going. Might have been better to assault that air defence team with the Abrams and consolidate into the woods? But you would be vulnerable to his infantry then I suppose.
That was my thinking anyway. The RPGs on that infantry are super deadly even against M1A1s

That was a ton of fun to watch. Lots of chaos and very dramatic at points. I love seeing Team Yankee content!

Good to see you doing Team Yankee again. Do you think it would have been better with the basic M1's or even some M60's? It looks like the Americans could have done with more units
Probably, but I've been using m60s in a lot of recent games. Sometimes it's just fun to play with the expensive stuff Even if it's not the best choice

just think what would of happend if either side would of used concentrattion of force instead of attacking helter skelter. but thats what you get when you let the britts make up the mission. Also why do the russains alwys get favored in these team yankee battles when in real life the contry using the American equipmemt always kick the russain's butt? just asken.

Not sure how many games you have watched, but my experience is that the table is usually littered with destroyed Russian vehicles. They may still take the field and win the game (our results are always mixed) but they never do it unscathed.
Cause the Western Equipment is overpriced in the game and the Russian stuff is way overrated. also, the tables are too small for the force numbers and there is no ability to out flank really. Team Yankee. Overpriced cool models yet bad rules. A shame the game is so Unbalanced.
