I am home with a broken wrist, cannot indulge my pen and ink hobby at all. So I’m watching videos and I just realize I’m gonna watch Matts video on my TV instead of this iPhone. Your channel is new to me and unique. That tool you have to measure milliliters of ink. It’s just a kick.
Elliott Bay! There’s an awesome pizza shop on Queen Anne Hill called Elliott Bay Pizza Company! We never get pizza there, though, because they have toasted sandwiches that are AMAZING!!! (Insider Seattle info…)
And here I thought you missed my favorite Wet Pen ink. Diablo Lake, but you just saved the best for last!! When I learned about that ink he was already out of it, but had mentioned another batch was going to be made. Well, I have my 50 ml's and loving the color. One sad thing is I read he won't be making any more going forward, such a shame.
It's so, so good. I find myself saying "this one is my favorite" to whichever one I'm using at the moment. I'm bummed he won't make more Diablo Lake. But just think, by the time you run out, he will absolutely make something else amazing to take its place!
Awesome awesome awesome!❤ Thats a really cool tool for getting the exact amount. Of course i love seeing the Ink Sample Roulette being used for filling the vials. Very nice 👍
Hey Wendi Sue! I'm pretty sure that I watched this video months ago, but since it appears that I failed to comment at that time... thank you for the kind words about my ink and for showing it off so nicely! 🙂 Yes, Blackberry and Trillium are made from different dyes, and Western Trillium is a nice ink, but probably won't be produced again in the future... it was just one that I made while trying to figure out a color that I liked for Blackberry. Diablo Lake will not be made again in this formula... but when I do re-formulate it, the color will be identical... it will just behave better.
It's true that we don't really use umbrellas here, much, for typical Seattle rain 🙂. I went to college in the midwest, and people always asked me if it really rains all the time in Seattle, and I'd always say... yes, but it's the kind of rain that you can walk a couple of blocks in without getting wet. These days, we seem to have heavier rain, and there are also plenty of us who use umbrellas 🙂 In fact, the music/arts festival "Bumbershoot", which is another word for "umbrella", has been around since the 1970s...
I love @thewetpen! I've only got 4of the inks because greens aren't my jam. I use a syringe to make samples since I have them anyway. I don't generally care about precision in the amounts in my samples. I think if I were making a lot of samples I'd be really interested in that pipette tool. So cool! Plus who doesn't love a great gadget. 🤣

I am a big fan of him. You have to see his videos on his travels to Japan and his inksplorations!😊
@@manuelespinosa724 I LOVE his videos!

@thewetpen Thanks for watching! I can't wait to see what you cook up next. One of yours is in my top inks of 2024!
Ooo, deception pass is very lovely! I'll need to see that color closer in person...♥I love that final yellowy green xD

Oh, dude must be a Seattleite. Gasworks Park also a thing! VERY cool 4th of July fireworks event there every year.
@@brilliantlady1 yup! He's a Seattleite!
I can't wait! Also - the colors look so good.
@@seemownay i hope the package isn't underwhelming after all this time!
Just the fact that you picked all the things because you think I should try them, it's never going to be underwhelming!
Think it’s funny that his logo has an umbrella - Seattleites NEVER use umbrellas. It’s considered a sign of weakness 🤣🤣🤣

@ Yes, I lived in King County for 20+ years (until just recently). We moved to the Spokane/CDA area, but so far the rain has followed me 🤣🤣🤣

Regarding Blackberry and Western Trillium, they look more different from one another on different papers, in my experience.
@@MariaRosseau this is definitely true!
@@MariaRosseau for me it's not the precision, necessarily, it's the single push to draw up and release that I love so much!
