I was listening to Dallas Holm and Praise back in the 70s and i am 69 years old.. They were my all time favorite Christian Praise band.. When my wife and i were married we would get up in the morning and listen to his albums.. we have all of them..i still listen to them even till today. My wife of 28 years went home to be with the Lord 7 years ago and her loss was very hard on me as she was my soul mate. I didnt know how i was going to make it when God called her home, but my faith & personal walk in Christ was what pulled me through the deep valley of lonliness and despair i was feeling, and the love of my family.. when "I saw the Lord" came out , i believe this was his best song ever, of course i have several favorites from Him..i was listening to I saw the Lord yesterday and it made me feel so close to God.. My dog Pepper just passed away about 4 weeks ago and again started grieving the loss of my friend and i needed something to make me feel better and so i pulled out a few of my favorite LPs and i started listening to Rise again and although i am still hurting his loss, it has given me much peace..if anyone has ever lost a beloved pet you know what i am talking about. This life we live will be about highs and lows, the loss of a family member or a spouse, a friend or even a beloved pet, and all we have to fall back on is Christ who loves & cares for us..i dont know much but i know that My God Loves me and nothing can ever separate us from the love of Jesus Christ.. and as Dallas said when he dedicated I saw the Lord To David Wilkerson,,,..But Christ remains preeminent in all things. No matter what has happened, what I’m going through now or what I may endure tomorrow, “nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. Amen.. God Bless You Brother. You are truly Gods Desciple.. and If i never meet you here on this earth, i will surely meet you in Heaven..( David in NC )
Thank you so much for telling us so much of your life , for taking that time and making that effort. The Lord Almighty has just used it to lift me out of my despair. Thank you again.
This life gives us love and loss, highs and lows, but it's temporary. God is forever, and in Him, we find love, peace, and joy. We praise Him in all things because everything is His. When our loved ones pass on from this life, they are in a wonderful place. I truly believe our beloved pets are waiting for us. Who can kill life? Life is forever, whether it's a person, animal, or plant. That life goes back to our Creator. Praise Yahweh!
He and Praise came to Pueblo, CO and after the concert, my daughter who loves his music headed backstage and said, " Hey Dallas, give me your autograph!" His assistant said Dallas is too busy. Dallas heard that and immediately came out and gave her his autograph. I'll never forget his kind spirit. My daughter loves Dallas Holm. His Rise Again was an original revelation it seems.
Wow! What a blessing. I remember singing Rise Again in Church as a kid and the blessing it brought to the people. Had a great impact on me. Thankful that Dallas has said "yes" to the call of God on his life. So many lights in the world that wont be here for too much longer. Praying for Holm and his family.
My aunt was a huge fan of Dallas Holm in the 80's. At the time, I couldn't care less for his music. My aunt went through a lot of trials and tribulations during these times. But she always seemed content. To the point, that one day I asked her what she had that kept her going when she was facing all of these problems. She didn't preach to me. She simply said, "Come to church and find out". I did. And it changed my life. Now almost every night, I listen to christian music (and particularly Mr. Holm's music) and just spend some time with the Lord. Sometimes praying, sometimes trying to sing, sometimes just crying, but mostly just being with the Lord. And I believe Mr. Holm's music is some of the best I have ever heard. And it helps me to get into a worship mode with Jesus. I can't begin to count my blessings - I have too many of them. Thank you, Mr. Holm's for these wonderful praise songs!
My brother. You and I are in the same boat. Didn’t give it much thought when I was young and my parents played Dallas Holmes among others and now I’ve been sitting here just listening, crying , hanging with Jesus. My mom passed 18!months ago and I find great comfort now in this. Amazing how that works.
You just hit the nail on the head. Christian bands kinda come and go but once you hear Dallas, you don't forget him and he will always be remembered and listened to. His songs appeal to people and maybe that's because he himself is genuine. I'm not saying anything good or bad about say Hillsong but I don't feel God's Holy Spirit like I do from Dallas. It seems forced or faked. I sort of feel like I'm being manipulated into answering an altar call or falling down on the floor and I don't like that. I've already surrendered to Him but I almost feel obligated to get saved again, like I wasn't before. They add to the Gospel and it's like oh, I didn't know that so I wasn't really saved. I hear another one that says I didn't do that right. Dallas doesn't change the Gospel message or grow with the world. I really am so thankful because I love his songs and it would break my heart to have to NOT listen. God's truth comes first though. God bless.
Back in the early 80's my husband was trying to get someone to come to Crockett, TX to sing Christian music to the youth. We didn't have the money to pay any group to come, so they would have to take an offering, so I suggested to him to contact your group, cause it was my favorite one, and just ask. I believe that was the first for Dallas and his band to sing without knowing they would get paid. But praise God, Dallas and his band trusted in God and came. It was a huge success in sharing the gospel with youth that lived in small town Texas. Then upon our amazement, we had gone to Belize, Central America, to be volunteer missionaries, and Dallas and his band came down there and it was huge. God bless you for your work and listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
I was in a small local Music Ministry starting in 1981. This was before the days of Praise and Worship teams. We sang a couple of songs every Sunday morning service. This quickly became the Pastor's favorite. We found ourselves singing this song almost every Sunday and also as we traveled to different churches across Texas for Revivals and Special services, for the next several years. Through several personnel changes we continued sharing music. Now three of those Brothers have gone on to be with the Lord, as well as that Beloved Pastor...
After I gave my life to Jesus back in 1979 I heard Dallas singing Rise Again. This song has stayed in my heart to this day. In those days when revival swept through South Africa, these songs played a leading role in ushering people I to the presence of God. Thank God for persons like Dallas Holmes.
I heard Dallas Holm in Brownsville Texas, Civic Center I was probably 8 yrs or younger will never forget hearing him. Btw I'm 52 and I still hear him. Takes me back in time and just want to praise God. Love you brother Dallas Holm
...here we are...some 40 years later...God , Father , and haven't You brought us through some things...and now , here we stand at the end...still trusting , still singing this and all the other awe inspiring songs... believing that someday... we'll Rise again...Bless you Dallas...an Instrument in the Hand of the Most High...Thanks...
I saw Dallas in the mid 80s right after I got saved in Denver. Also I used to watch him late at night on TBN with his music videos. Something about his music that remains pure and full of the Spirit. I'm glad he's still ministering and going strong after all these years.
I came to the Lord in 1977 after life spent lost in sin. I was sixteen at the time, and very much into the music of this world that did not glorify God. Not to long after, I heard Jesus got Ahold of my life by Dallas Holm. I said, "what cool song about being born again" Not only a cool song, but the song a last almost the same as mine, Dexter Holmes. Well, it has been many years now, and we still sing the song in church. Thanks for writing such a great song that gives God the glory.
Hello, I'm from Brazil, and I discovered your music only now for about 2 years, but your music touches your soul and transcends generations, glory to God for your life!
I had approached Dallas years ago in a Church and didn't try to keep him long .I shook his hand and said how I love to hear and try to play his music I thanked him for them all . they have helped me make it threw all the good and bad times .they still hit home hard today .I found one of his old music books online for sale and bought .now his song "He new me then" is done back then in G instead .I can still remember how he played after all these years it's so deeply embedded in my memory to .i don't even have struggle to play at all but the chord slide he did on it at the first is kind of hard to figure out but the rest of the song comes so natural to me .
Great memories Dallas. I remember you came by yourself to Central Assembly of God in Panama City many years ago in a van and gave us a very worshipful concert. Just you and a guitar. God really came down that night. Thank you for that brother. Love your music still. Thank you for the stories behind the writings. God's richest blessings to you and yours my brother.
You still bring tears to my eyes even in this latter days. Jesus is coming soon, Dallas.. and a lost world is going to need these worshipful songs. Thank you. And thank God for you. Silvermane Wesley John, Chiloquin, OR
Dallas I have been so blessed by the music you wrote and sang over all the years. Thank you for giving your talent and years to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ!
I discovered your music years ago and the song I love the most is “I’ll Rise Again”. You have many songs that speak to our souls as our mind & heart focus on Jesus who went obediently to the cross to cleanse us from our sins & prepare us for salvation and the soon coming rapture. Thank you Dallas Holm for dedicating your beautiful music to King Jesus. God Bless U. ❤
You are so right! I remember that voice on radio paradise in the 90ts every Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 5 pm. 😀 my favorite song is 'Jesus Can Heal Your Home My Friend But Frist He Must Heal your Heart.😥
Thank you so much for writing this song. 15 years ago when I was going through divorce and thought I couldn't go on one step further, I would listen to this song with tears streaming down my face and give it all up to the Lord again. I still get tears in my eyes when I hear it, thinking back on how God HAS brought me through. Thank you for your ministry and sharing your heart.
I'll Rise Again is my go-to song. It's a toss-up with Amazing Grace as my all-time favorite songs written EVER. I can't decide, lol. I Saw the Lord is right there with them too. He touches so many lives. I wish he'd come to Florida soon.
Dallas I’ve listened to your songs for years; you are truly anointed and blessed; I’m still listening to you fifty years on; God continue to bless your music ministry
I don't listen to the new music you hear on the radio" it lacks everything" it's more about what I can / I am/ me/ stylish mystical/ dreamy / spacy.. instead of focusing on JESUS...ive been listening to you since the early 80's and still use your music in aiding my personal worshipping....thank you for so many wonderful memories and moments when I really needed to hear GOD through these beautiful songs
Hi Dallas. This song of yours has been my wake up alarm for many years. After listening to a dramatic version of the Bible all night using pillow speakers, your song wakes me up and starts my day off. Last year I was teaching a bunch of kids in our home and used Here We Are as one of our two worship and praise songs. It moved me so much I had to leave the room. Only Rise Again has been more special to me as it was the song in 1982 that (as I listened to it over and over for 2 hours) caused me to believe that Jesus is God, showed me what He had done for me, and revealed to me how much I had been mocking Him. I thank God He created you to be an inspiration to so many!
Your song Rise Again was sung often by my recently passed music minister Eddie Simmons. He always sang it with great passion. Your life and music are a testimony.
Best worship sing ever. Dallas Holm is special to me as the lord was with him at the concert and led me to Jesus our precious savior!!! God bless you forever Dallas.
Dallas Holmes songs helped me when I was a young man and lost for directions. I had his cassette. Played it over and over. Should sit in my car and cry in the presence of the Lord. Know 35 years later I have a wonderful family and pastor an awesome church.
Every time he sings the phrase ‘Here we are’ I here a second voice singing with him. I grew up listening to him. His openness to the Lord and worshipful presence has always ushered in moments of peace. I remember as a kid attending his concert in Bozeman, MT. It still goes down as my favorite concert ever. I remember it going late, past my bedtime but I didn’t want it to end.
Dallas, I have never carefully listen to the words of this song, but today I did. I heard your comment afterwards. I also did not want to be around Christians, but God had his way. On my older sister's birthday, Dec. 30, 1981, I saw the Lord! I couldn't share it with the two women (my other sister and her friend) either, they would have thought I was crazy. Later that evening as we were driving to my sister's birthday party they had a Dallas Holm tape and then I heard "I Saw The Lord" and I began to cry thinking of what had happened to me earlier. I wanted to scream "Stop the van!" I wanted to get out and jump and holler that I saw Jesus, but I held it in, I'm sad to say. But that night I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. So that song is very special to me and I was so happy to have seen you in person at Bethel Christian Center, Fresno, Ca. a few years ago, thank you for coming to our town! There is more to this but I won't go there maybe someday I'll share the whole story.
Thank you for saying this prayer for Dallas Holm. I agree in the name of JESUS! ..."if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask -- it shall be done to them from my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 Lets see how many will agree in the name of Jesus here:
very nicely stated..if only we had a president who loved the Lord Jesus like Dallas Holm does we would be so well off.. if Only Biden Prayed and had the spirit of Christ over his being...what a nice thought but not sure about him
Thank you, Brother Dallas. You were one of the first music artists I found when I got saved in 1980. Your songs carried me through all these years. I shared your music with others and they loved it too. I always thought of your music as worship songs as they touched me and gave me a beautiful relationship with Jesus. Testimonies move people more than anything. We ALL have a story and telling people how Jesus changed our life makes Jesus alive and real to people. May God continue blessing you, my friend.
Thank you just took me back 1978, holy worship n praise is awesome to praise God. thank you for everything your song just made me praise God more Yahuweh bless you n u r family....in Yeshua Ha Mashiah
God bless Dallas Holm! Your songs filled my childhood back in the 80's when my big sisters had all your cassettes. I knew every one of them. It's a blessing to hear this today in Jan 2021
It was in Feb.22, 1976 when I accepted Christ as my Saviour. in the next couple years I came across Dallas Holmes and Praise. They brought me so close in fellowship with the Lord thru their music. I listened over and over to the songs and Prayed and praise the Lord and sang 'with' them. My boys Jesse and Aaron were 2&3 when they first heard Dallas Holmes and Praise. They grew up hearing their music. One song On an album was "WHO MAKES"... MY friend and I practise and practiced that song and sang it in church. The Lord so moved during that song that the altar was full. You could not help but worship the Lord. I thank God for you and your group. The Lord has used you immensely in my life and even now this evening my eldest son Jesse who will be 41 on the 29th of April 2017 just sent me this link. Ya'll are still working in our family. God Bless you Dallas Holmes and Praise. I look forward to meeting you someday.
Thanks Dallas, I had been wondering where you were. So glad to see you here and get to listen to your songs and also some stories that go with them. God bless.
This song brings back many good memories for me when I was young christian with my young wife and young children. God is so good ! Just thankful that He wants to deal with us. Thank you Lord and fellow christians !
This song has always been one of my favorite songs of all time Dallas. In 1985, I bought this album for my mom. She absolutely loved it. Thank you for ministering to us for so many years!

Back in the mid 80s my mom and i got saved, and someone gave her some cassettes, one was yours, we listened to it over and over, then i had the opportunity to attend a local church that you were visiting, you showed a film of your song Rise Again, it was so powerful, i wish i could see it again, Thank You for your music ❤
Thank you Dallas and Linda for all the years your music has been a help and comfort! Your songs always make Jesus seem nearer, thou He is always present. God's blessings to you!
I was playing basketball in Junior College and the choir director of the college needed a bass player for the group. Man I had some great times playing for our College choir....we were called "Cornerstone." This was one of the songs we covered and it soothes my heart every time I hear it. The Lord has always brought me thorough all the tough times in my life and has never let me down. God Bless.
I had cancer when I was 29 and thre small children I played your music. Everyday ever time I got scared and your music helped me overcome cancer vand raise my family 41 years cancer free
Your music is a blessing. I have just broken up with the love of my life and God is telling me to listen to your music as a reminder of God's eternal love.
I've been listening to you for many years. A lot of good memories and also bad ones. But the Lord brought me through. Your singing and songs have been a tremendous blessing to me. I always prayed that I could do a very good recording of my songs too,but it never happened.
Voice is still as anointed as it ever was. Love this song.❤️🎶 Thanks sharing the history of the music. I always appreciate seeing how God inspired an artist to glorify Him.
The songs you've written are timeless. I would listen to them back in the early 70's and I'm still singing and playing them on my guitar. Your songs have a great message. Thank you and may the Lord bless you and continue giving you more songs to sing.
I just got a keyboard and I want to learn to play I'll Rise Again soooo bad. His songs are timeless unlike the bands of today. They're like Amazing Grace, forever!
I've enjoyed your music most of my life. Still blesses me. Seeing your background makes me know we need to connect. I enjoy hunting and fishing in God's great outdoors.
Hey Dallas so glad to come across you on utube, I subscribed immediately, I still sing your songs today. I just turned 70 . I had the privilege of meeting you back stage at Orphium Theatre in downtown Mpls years ago along with Bob Guck who used to play with you in south St Paul when you had your first garage band . I was in a local group called Mantle with Bob associated with Midwest Challenge started by Al Palmguist who previously worked for Dave Wilkerson in NYC. Anyway Bob passed away a couple years ago. Looking forward to learning more of your tunes along with my own as i want to keep singing for Jesus as long as I can.
The message 5:19 onwards is inspiring and encouraging. Keep preaching the Love and Mercy of God, through your soul enriching music. Have a Blessed day !!!
I bought your album when it first came out, and it’s 3:30 in the morning and I did a search to find this song. Needed to hear it as I face a health challenge. Still touches my heart.
Great video ... I do know who you are ... Your songs have gotten me through many a trial .. test and tribulation ... And as you can see ... I'm here again ... loved the story behind the song ... Your testimony and thank you for your prayer ... You're a gift to me from My Father ... and I can never thank Him enough ... May God continue to bless you ... 💕

Brings back wonderful memories over 40 years ago when the Lord Jesus saved this Jewish man...
Praised be the Name of The Lord!
My story Exactly.
I rejoice with you.
Amen brother!
Amen my brother. 🙏
This song blessed me as a teenager
They don’t write songs like this no more! Those were the days when we saw absolutely nothing but the Lord! Thanks Dallas for all the memories❗️
Appreciate that, brother.
You got that right.
... any more, lol.

I'll Rise Again is my go-to song. It's a toss-up with Amazing Grace as my all-time favorite songs written EVER. I can't decide, lol. I Saw the Lord is right there with them too. He touches so many lives. I wish he'd come to Florida soon.
Me too! I have been battling chronic conditions and a bad divorce which brought financial distress
God bless you 🙏
This is also my story! except it was 30 years ago.
Dallas I’ve listened to your songs for years; you are truly anointed and blessed; I’m still listening to you fifty years on; God continue to bless your music ministry
Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather over there?
Beautifully expressed!
@@KA2HRO Thank you for those kind words!
I grew up on Dallas! God bless him
Your song Rise Again was sung often by my recently passed music minister Eddie Simmons. He always sang it with great passion. Your life and music are a testimony.
That was one of the first songs that I listen to when I first got saved. Thank you Brother Holm Dr helping me grow in Christ.. God Bless ❤️
Thank the Lord for Dallas Holm and his ministry. Bless him abundantly, in Jesus name Amen
Hello Annette how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
It is a song of encouragement, thank you Jesus for being with me all the time!
Best worship sing ever. Dallas Holm is special to me as the lord was with him at the concert and led me to Jesus our precious savior!!! God bless you forever Dallas.
I have felt the POWER of the Holy Spirit EVERY time (which are MANY, MANY) I've heard or sang "I'll Rise Again" and "Here We Are".
Dallas Holmes songs helped me when I was a young man and lost for directions. I had his cassette. Played it over and over. Should sit in my car and cry in the presence of the Lord. Know 35 years later I have a wonderful family and pastor an awesome church.
Have been Blessed by Dallas Holm concert in Clovis NM and Roswell NM many years ago and never have I ever been so Uplifted by any Christian singer! ❤
All true worship songs come from the God the holy spirit...🎶🎵💞🎼💖👍🏾👍🏾
Every time he sings the phrase ‘Here we are’ I here a second voice singing with him. I grew up listening to him. His openness to the Lord and worshipful presence has always ushered in moments of peace. I remember as a kid attending his concert in Bozeman, MT. It still goes down as my favorite concert ever. I remember it going late, past my bedtime but I didn’t want it to end.
Heard in 1974. Still a message that works.
There is more to this but I won't go there maybe someday I'll share the whole story.
you got saved in 1965, I got saved in 1970, always did like your music, very uplifting.
Thank you God for giving us Dallas Holm. Please give him one of your best mansions in Heaven. Amen
Thank you for saying this prayer for Dallas Holm. I agree in the name of JESUS!
..."if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask -- it shall be done to them
from my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 Lets see how many will agree in the name of Jesus here:
very nicely stated..if only we had a president who loved the Lord Jesus like Dallas Holm does we would be so well off.. if Only Biden Prayed and had the spirit of Christ over his being...what a nice thought but not sure about him
Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather over there?
WHEN I HEAR YOUR SONGS I CRY THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather over there?
Dallas was the first gospel singer I heard when I got saved . That was April 7, 1993
Hello Dawn how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
May God continue blessing you, my friend.
this is still one of my very fav songs and one of the most pretty sounding guitars ever
I fell in love with Jesus with this song, already saved, He came and opened my eyes to what He truly did for me at the cross !! Thank You !!

Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather over there?
I cry every time I hear this song. Thank you Lord!
God bless.

God Bless.

I've been listening to you for many years. A lot of good memories and also bad ones. But the Lord brought me through. Your singing and songs have been a tremendous blessing to me. I always prayed that I could do a very good recording of my songs too,but it never happened.

Hello, how are you doing, how is the weather over there?
The songs you've written are timeless. I would listen to them back in the early 70's and I'm still singing and playing them on my guitar. Your songs have a great message. Thank you and may the Lord bless you and continue giving you more songs to sing.
I just got a keyboard and I want to learn to play I'll Rise Again soooo bad. His songs are timeless unlike the bands of today. They're like Amazing Grace, forever!
My favorite song and sang it when I was 12 was and still is : I SAW THE LORD" Thanks for the beautiful lyrics
Just a wonderful delight, I was just a kid when we would listen to Dallas Holm in the car or home. I love the story behind the song.
I've enjoyed your music most of my life. Still blesses me. Seeing your background makes me know we need to connect. I enjoy hunting and fishing in God's great outdoors.

Dallas is a great songwriter and Christian he has test a lot of lies with this music
He has touched a lot of lives with his music and his life
Hey Dallas so glad to come across you on utube, I subscribed immediately, I still sing your songs today.
