I too have a child with Cystic Fibrosis she will be 30 on her next birthday I have longed many years to this cured and defeated. I pray mercy on all those who suffer this Disease and their family's which indeed suffer right along, the medications and CPT therapies are a very big part of their every day, it is truly sad to love someone that you can do so little to (truly) help..and know they will not ever really get better but worse..with passing time..I would so love to see it be a thing of the past..

Hello there,
Great and inspiring video. I have a daughter with CF that could potentially greatly benefit from this treatment. We've saved umbilical cord blood at the birth of her two brothers, who are not even carriers of the faulty CF gene, hoping one day their stem cells could help their sister. Have you done anything like that, and is this treatment available to anyone, or is it still in its trial stages, the cost, potential risks, etc. Your help would be much appreciated.

Adult stem cell therapy does not require umbilical cord blood but, rather uses bone marrow or adipose (fat) tissue taken directly from the patient, thereby greatly reducing any possible negative effects or rejection. My son has CF and any information you can give us we would appreciate. Does insurance help with cost ? Is the stem cell procedure something verily new? His doctors haven't mentioned it , only the new medicine that is working on a different strain than the strain my son has. Please let us know . Thank you
