@@Gordonius I also have a childhood that included the bassoon, it caught my attention the first time I’ve been to the orchestra and I watched a lot of old cartoons (mainly Tom and Jerry.) Now, I’m a bassoon fan.
@@pringle-man That's not true, you don't know their skill level. I'm 11 and started playing bassoon this year. I've already played multiple high school pieces. I'm not saying that these aren't difficult, but that they can still learn them no matter what. It is not your right to tell people what they can and can't do.
Amy J wow, I’m so proud of you. An 11 year old playing at highschool levels. It must be so hard to play so well. All the ladies are all over you constantly. “OH MY GOD ITS THAT BASSOON KID THAT CAN PLAY MULTIPLE HIGHSHOOL PIECES, SO HOT!” You’re probably even at Mozart level, honestly. You can play 32nd notes with ease. You can traverse the entire range and more while eating blue cheese. You can play Peter and the Wolf like nothing because those songs are so hard. All at the age of 11. I’m so proud of you. In fact, you should just go ahead and waltz on over the to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra while you’re at it! You’re 11 and can play simple highschool pieces! Imagine what you can do when you’re 12!

Bassoon is the sound of many amazing things in my childhood, many old bbc movies use bassoon, along with some of my favorite audiobooks.
Bassoons are lovely, aren't they?
@@TheCoIdDark Absolutely, they create music that doesn't demand full attention, but that you can enjoy all the more because it's just so peaceful.
@@TheCoIdDark Without a doubt.
