    Angelo, small question: Today I was triggered by a problem so much. Suddenly I had the realization that if I don't think about the problem it doesnt exist and I saw very clearly it has never existed. My suffering dropped away in a second. I had to laugh and to cry at the same time. This problem is just not there anymore. Do you think this could be something like a first shift? I would be glad to hear your opinion. 🙏

    Does pain = suffering here? For example, if something was wrong with her foot and touching the floor with it caused pain? Or if the mug was hot and caused pain from the heat?

    Where is love in this way of looking at existence? I just don't think it's the way forward to look at life through this nihilistic lens. At the end of the day, even THAT way of seeing is a result of interpretation. It's clear to me why so many seekers lose the will to live if they go too far down the non-dual rabbit hole. This lady would possibly feel a lot better to be guided towards the realisation that life is magnificent, wondrous, mysterious, and so bloody worth it. The mind is conditioned, yes, call it illusory, but that doesn't mean it's all bullshit. Honour it. It's all amazing, if you think about it. This woman, as well as everyone else, fulfils an important purpose of embodying boundless love and raising her vibration to the benefit of herself and all.

      What you’re describing is a sort of new age approach. This isn’t about changing paradigms, seeing through new lenses etc, it’s about deep realization. It’s about dropping all perceptual filters.

    • @lindam4133
      @lindam4133 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SimplyAlwaysAwake Thank you for your response. Whatever new age means, my intuition tells me there's something deeply lacking when the focus is on seeing our lived reality as dream-like and illusory. I appreciate that you encourage shadow work etc, which many non-dual teachers ignore. Maybe the fully realised "person" will experience a permanent sense of love and joy because life really is something to celebrate. We've been given the chance to experience all this magnificence - whether it's all a dream or not. But when I watch conversations like the above and listen to people who have turned away from non-duality (at least the Western-style, direct path version), I worry deeply that this sense of "what's the point" will (and in some cases does) eventually lead to devastating outcomes... It would be very interesting to know where your teachings are on the non-duality spectrum. I know, I have doubt, and doubt is just thoughts (*grin), but for me, this discomfort feels more intuitive than mind-based...

      @@lindam4133 maybe you’re not clear on what non-duality actually means. Exactly what I’m pointing to here is non-dual realization. It’s the next step in the process for her. Many have realized it and continue to. Many are also confused about what it even means. The Bahiya Sutta explains it clearly if you want a historical reference. There is a potential downside to watching videos about deeper stage realization after first awakening though as it can be very subtle and/or off putting if the mind is still thought identified. If you’re interested in awakening I recommend starting with basics of awakening playlist then awakening approaches. ☺️

    So the fact that her foot doesn't hurt, or that the audience is colors and shapes, removes the suffering that she's experiencing with the difficulties she's facing in life right now?

    • @vanessai405
      @vanessai405 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Her suffering/difficulties are precipitated by her thoughts and beliefs about her current life situation & have most likely built up over a lifetime (like many of us).
      I feel that there is still a lot of entanglement with her ego after listening to this.
      We need to suffer in order to wake up & go through the same stages of grief as when faced with a death.
      The further into hell we venture shielded by ignorance, the further out we must venture, naked & humble. It’s a hard journey.

    • @SimplyAlwaysAwake
      @SimplyAlwaysAwake  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not exactly , it’s hard to interpret a conversation like this with no context. I know her well I know where she is in the realization process, what I’m pointing to is engagement and ultimately surrender to the non-dual appearances, which is where this goes. That’s not the end either BTW. Though things can get rather subtle here. Her concerns aren’t conceptual this is a deeply rooted concern that stemming from compassion.

And if you see any injustice anymore you see no war in the world nor e.g. anyone hitting their child and so no reaction to anything? Hey Angelo, I'm a fan of your work and I've read your book; I watch your videos as they're released each day. But honestly, I think you're in over your head on this one. That lady was in pain and she left the stage in pain while you looked down and away. I think if you want to teach and be a self help guru you've got some work to do. I'm practicing per Ramana Maharshi's and Nisargadatta's instructions on self enquiry and when I hear you mention them I don't think you have a solid grasp on their teachings. That was the first crack I noticed in your teachings. I'm also familiar with The Three Pillars of Zen and have studied it also. You sound best when you're sounding like a Zen teacher. But the self help stuff doesn't fly in my opinion and I think this video clearly showed that. I felt sorry for that lady as she left the stage after you filled her ear with Thich Nhat Hanh-ish buddhist "thought experiments" that offer no comfort to someone in that much pain.
