  • Don't wait anymore for an object to be warm to detect its motion.
    Yo, it's time to ditch the PIR motion sensor and upgrade to the RCWL-0516 Doppler Radar motion Sensor, with its9m range and 360° detection angle with no blind spot baby.
    The module is pretty much standalone for your outdoor lighting project or security system.

    Im using this sensor to post it at the entrance of a parking lot to detect the presence of cars coming in and out. Is there a similar sensor like this but only detects 180-degree detection angle? otherwise, I'll just mount this on the ground.

    Thank you for your video, I have one question, this sensor can be use in metallic objects? examples for detect the movement of cars, or if in the range of the sensor will be steel columns like in a warehouse.

      The sensor can detect cars, it's one of its main functions... But it's recommended to avoid using metallic object directly in front of the sensor, also clear some space in at least 1cm around it.

      Hi, that's just a cheap acrylic case, and I'm using its bottom part only

    greetings, in your video, you mentioned the range is between 5m to 9m , is there anyway to know, exactly where the moving object is from the sensor...one can from hc-sr04

      If you are talking about the distance, this module can't measure it, it just detect a change in the microwaves reflected, for the range it can variate if there are some interferences

    I use without arduino BUT can you use a piezo like speaker to sound in conjunction with the alert led going off

      Hello, try to use an active buzzer, all it needs to go off is a DC voltage... you can help it with a 555 that will generate ON-OFF signal with a certain period to sound like an alarm.

    Hello, can I use this sensor as a presence sensor I would simply like to know if I have an obstacle in front of the sensor 15cm away.

    • @SurtrTech
      @SurtrTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For obstacles I don't know, but for presence yes, the module should be static because it detects variations in the waves reflected back and if something moves within the range its detected, but if you move the sensor it will always detects its own motion

    is the angle of movement also detected?

    • @SurtrTech
      @SurtrTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, the output is "0" for no motion or "1" if something is detected whatever its position within the range
