    I have four fancy golffish (2 Ranchu, 1 Ryukin and 1 Red Cap)
    ....all 6 inches big
    I feed them 3 times a day...
    Morning and afternoon I feed Hikari Sinking Pellets..
    Everyday in evenings I feed them boiled green peas...
    I they are healthy, super colourful and very active...
    Green peas keep their digestion clean and none of them suffer from swim bladder till now...😊

      Since Fancy Goldfish are shortbody fish, they are much more prone to swim bladder issues, and sometimes can never be cured. The best way to prevent it is to feed high quality sinking foods, lots of greens, and to have great water quality.

    I bought a black ranchu around last week of March. I think it is still a baby as its only 4cm head to tail. He have not grown much until now and still don't have a wen. Based on your experience, hold old is a ranchu when its 4cm (1.5 inch). Also when do they start to have head growth? I'm feeding him hikari lionhead daily and boiled peas/cabbage on Sundays.

    "Swim bladder disease" is not curable. If the swim bladder is not functioning any more and the fish is having buoyancy issues it is an anatomical problem of said organ and has nothing to do with diet. Feeding pees for swim bladder problems is like eating certain foods when we have a broken bone and hoping it will heal. These problems occur mainly in fish that have a very short body like orandas or ranchus. Since their organs are compressed the swim bladder sometimes can not develop properly and this deformation causes the swimming problems in the fish. Feeding pees only helps with gastrointestinal issues like gas or impaction. Often times a gas build up due to improper diet causes the fish to have buoyancy issues which then in turn gets misdiagnosed as swim bladder problems and the common mistruth that pees are a remedy. Generally pees are incredibly healthy for goldfish so it's good to feed them on a regular basis. They do not cure any swim bladder problems though.

    • @innovativeworld1588
      @innovativeworld1588 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then how to cure from swim bladder??

    • @TheCalcarAvis
      @TheCalcarAvis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@innovativeworld1588 "swim bladder disease" is not a disease but a symptom. The swim bladder is anatomically deformed and that causes the swimming issues. You cannot cure that. There are very rare occasions where the swim bladder is compromised by an infection and you can treat for that (antibiotics or antiparasitic) but if the swim bladder's structure is damaged you cannot do anything. When someone is born with an deformed leg you can't cure that by giving them a special diet. Same with the swim bladder. If it is deformed or damaged there is nothing you can do.
