Yeah, but the whole point of THIS SCENE seems to be going over a lot of people's heads... which is that pretty much every intelligence agency is simply a tool of the President. As much as I'm a fan of JFK, I thought it was brilliant for the movie to open with this scene juxtaposing Damon's character going to work to overthrow Castro with a real life clip of JFK denying US involvement/intentions against Cuba, even though JFK himself had already approved the Bay of Pigs Invasion which directly contradicted his public statements. The movie didn't even reference the assassination plots against Castro dreamed up by RFK. But that was actually brought up by the John McCone character in the movie "Thirteen Days," an excellent movie about the Cuban missile crisis. Also in this scene, when the Allen Dulles character asks Damon's character if he thinks the Bay of Pigs invasion will be successful, Damon's character references the air support that JFK had promised to provide to help support the invasion. JFK ultimately changed his mind about providing that air support in the final hour. And many ppl involved thought that that played a huge part in the failure of the invasion. Btw the Dulles character also makes a final vague reference to JFK's blessing for the invasion, "the Rocking Chair is still smiling."
"Couple of days we will be dancing the chacha at El Comandante's bedroom".
Probably the best movie I’ve seen.
This movie really showed the dirty laundry and dirty business behind the CIA nothing glorious to see

The US Armed Forces (Army, Marines, Air Force, and Navy) should have invaded Cuba instead of Cuban exiles in 1961.
All they needed was air support, maybe a little naval gunnery support. Hell, we had cruisers nearby.
