    • @janefelix3821

      Issue was a change like that would have been a direct attack on the Tsar's brother Michael. By 1915 the Tsarina, Alexandra was 43 years old and probably not able to produce any more children, it was 11 years since her last, Alexi. Given the extremely poor health of the Tsar's only son, his brother Michael knew that for all intensive purposes the crown would have gone to him or his sons as Alexi was never expected to make 20 or produce any heirs. So there would have been a major fight to change the laws as Duke Michael, would have fought it.

      @@janefelix3821 reminds me of the succession crisis in Japan that they were trying to change the law but then the current Crown Prince had a son which is now 2nd in line to the throne.

    • @janefelix3821
      @janefelix3821 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@joseeduardotschen9186 Difference it that the Tsar's power back then was absolute versus the Japanese Emperor which is mainly symbolic By allowing Olga to become ruler, it was essentially stripping Michael of becoming (or his son) absolute ruler.
      Of course this is moot as the Tsar, Tsarina, and their 5 children were murdered and around the same time Duke Michael along with the Tsarina's sister, Maria, were also murdered. Plus the country has not reinstated, even symbolically, any Royal line.

    Жаль, что тут не публикуют стихотворение, которое Ольга Николаевна написала в своем дневнике незадолго до смерти. Оно очень хорошо характеризует её:
    Пошли нам,Господи, терпенье
    В годину буйных, мрачных дней
    Сносить народное гоненье
    И пытки наших палачей.
    Дай крепость нам, о Боже правый,
    Злодейства ближнего прощать
    И крест тяжелый и кровавый
    С Твоею крепостью встречать.
    И в дни мятежного волненья,
    Когда ограбят нас враги,
    Терпеть позор и оскорбленья,
    Христос-Спаситель, помоги!
    Владыко мира, Бог Вселенной,
    Благослови молитвой нас
    И дай покой душе смиренной
    В невыразимый смертный час!
    И у преддверия могилы
    Вдохни в уста твоих рабов
    Нечеловеческие силы
    Молиться кротко за врагов.

    I was startled and excited to find the collage art of her at IKEA, and love displaying it. Most people don't know who she is, but I do. The art reminds me that even when the world is dark an unkind, I still have the responsibility to love it well and not become bitter even if it breaks my heart and takes my head.

    Every one of these restored and revived photographs, in the book, have undergone such beautifully detailed, artistic attention, to create modern-day masterpieces. The words alone in ‘The Romanov Royal Martyrs’ book, are enough to paint the pictures, detailing the Romanov family’s life and, ultimately, the massacre that was carried out at the hands of Lenin’s henchmen. I cannot reign enough praise on those who worked diligently on this publication of the Romanov’s lives, but I can say that if you’ve not purchased a copy of this book, you are completely missing out on key evidence and a look into what silence could not conceal.

    Olga was an unbelievably beautiful young woman and if the succession rules had been different she would have made a wonderful Empress.
    My favourite story about Olga is the time before the War when she was out for a drive and spotted a poor girl who couldn't walk properly and Olga being the lady she was made enquiries, finding our that the girl's family couldn't afford the medical treatment so Olga paid for it using her own (vast) fortune and she did this without being told to do so, out of the goodness of that pure heart of hers. The Tsar and Empress must have been so proud of her.
    Rest in peace Olga and the Imperial family, you didn't deserve the end to your tragic lives xxx

    Похожа на маму. Настоящая царственность видна. В этом смысле она самая красивая из сестер. Аристократична.

    She is looking at us with compassion, eager to help us all into heaven. That's the power of saints, they are advocates for those who are struggling against evil in this world. May she and the other Romanov martyrs help us to become saintly as well, because that is the most effective way to heal others. It makes evil powerless as we see at the cross, where Jesus eliminated death and restored our relationship with His and our heavenly Father. God bless you all!

    The colourised photograph exemplify her unique loveliness.
    I wondered about what would have been had this gentle but patriotic lady had followed her father and become regent or even tsarina. How would she have been in the role? I think she would have had good moderate ideas

    • @joseeduardotschen9186
      @joseeduardotschen9186 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would have never happened as women by law could not inherit the throne.

    • @condelevante4
      @condelevante4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joseeduardotschen9186 but her father as autocrat could change the law, just as his ancestor and predecessor Paul had done. I think it’s a mark of Nicholas respect for tradition that he didn’t but he could if he wanted. .
      Olga would never leave Russia to become a foreign queen as she could have done. She would have been a good regent, if something had happened to her father and I think she would have had the intelligence to be a worthy successor if it came to that. After all not only Catherine the great was her ancestor, but so too was Queen Victoria.
      I often wonder if her depression was related to the deteriorating political situation. She was very aware.

    Наши царевны очень красивы, почему ни одна не успела выйти замуж? Больно думать о том, какая была им уготована судьба. Ленин совершил много ошибок, почему он так жесток был к судьбе детей императора НиколаяII? Больно думать, что такие краспвицы из- за красного террора были убиты...

    Станция московского (Мордорского) метрополитена "Войковская" названа в честь советского бандита-цареубийцы Войкова.
    The station of the Moscow (Mordor) metro "Voykovskaya" is named after the Soviet bandit-regicide Voykov (Pinhus Weiner)

    Что не говори, а дети Николая были очень красивыми (породистыми, так сказать). Стать и вышколенность царская никуда не ушла. А ещё царевны просто сёстрами милосердия были в госпиталях, ухаживая за солдатами ранеными...

    There were rumors circa 1913, the year they celebrated The Romanov's 300 year anniversary, that Olga was being considered a match for David, Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, her second cousin. At the time she was 18 and he 19. He would later become King Edward VIII and known for abdicating to marry an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. Knowing more about the future King, he never would have married her simply because he despised the whole Royal business and never married, until after his abdication, even though he was pressured to as he was heir to the largest Empire at the time, so he would not have married Olga, if anything to spite his father, King George V. But at the time was this a serious consideration?

    Если бы не родился Алексей и не случилось этого страшного,кровавого расстрела,Ольга могла бы стать царицей.Отец её готовил к этому,да и характер у неё был твердый.Дисциплинированная и требовательная к себе и другим,она могла бы возглавить российское государство.Но..,на всё воля Всевышнего.
