Actually, according to his autobiography "I'm Hosting as Fast as I can", this story Pre-dates 'BZ. Bergeron was only doing "Local" radio at that time, a station in Haverhill, MA I believe. He didn't get to 'BZ until the Late 70s/Early 80s.
We used to listen to him on WHEB... we knew he'd go on to bigger and better things. Anyone remember his parody of 'Bette Davis Eyes'?? (Marty Feldman Eyes)
