You missed the point of the service Google is providing. You can already do the things you want.
I don’t wanna see AR games like Pokémon go with this technology. It’s such a waste, you’ve got a great tool for great games. There’s so much more that can be done than Pokémon go, Jurassic World Alive, Etc. You can create simulators, Racing games, mmos, Etc. Possibilities are endless.

How is GTA 5s map rich and big? For every interior for a building there are 150+ basic exteriors with blank NPCs that just walk on the street. The issue with game worlds isn't that they are small, far from it, they are getting too big and too sparse in detail.

Great tool and horrible games at the same time. The lack of imagination is breathtaking - just three well-recognized IPs with a Pokemon Go like gameplay.
Don't worry, I'm planning to fix that :) A lot better games are coming.

So i have been working on dynamic maps i used mapbox which is really good, it used bing maps from Microsoft. Since google has much more date as compared to bing so i have been thinking to use it , I tried the it, imported the SDK into unity3d 2019. The API needs key to run i guess i have to pay for it but there is no information on pricing, it offers free trials and asking for credit card info and it says it will charge automatically on monthly basis. but not showing how much.
my aim is to create real world 3D maps as they are in real for non gaming purposes. so if anyone has any info on that please let me know. Thanks a lot!

I hope this is an official channel and developers can read this, would it be possible to create artificial 3D that recognizes objects and render it to a real 3D object like a window water grass trees etc, with that Google would be able to create a real 3D google maps openworld perhaps even a game.
I've played this on vr and it just looks amazing to explore cities

Use Unity & this to generate a 3d world & can correspond the objects you provide, to the Google map objects. Like @7:15 she converted current London into medieval London.
Your game doesn't have to be mobile like the Pokémon game. In Unity, you can code it to change/omit any object as you wish. Use Google maps as a world generator. Maybe convert buildings into different types of trees.
Could limit your playable area to just a small subset instead of the whole world
I'm trying to make a Roblox game rn using google earth's API for data on terrain heightmaps and buildings. Basically the game will be very similar to MFS 2020.
Can you also add locations to monuments like in pokemon go?

Hey Google i wish that for google for an example in the beginning you start to create as a male or a female right and then right after that you see your house right/ And then right after that, Design the whole earth to be as the exact earth and copy or paste the traffic lights what we have. Like Florida is Florida and Georgia is Georgia. And i would created it google maps rated m for mature. And for Lego Lego google maps for e for everyone got it?

So much criticism for game concepts presented here. Do you have any idea how difficult this infrastructure is to build? I do backend integration engineering, and the stuff they have been able to build so far blows my mind. I hope I get to see you guys put your money where your mouth is and build the game you boast you can build using the capabilities AND limitations of this platform.
