Hi Deano mate. I can only echo what others have said my friend. do as the doctors say. slow down and all will come good. we will all be here when come back fighting fit. look after yourself for now. best wishes Tony.
Hi Deano Sorry to hear you're having some medical issues but please do take notice of what they say, take it easy heath comes first. I'm sure you will get the layout built but over a longer time frame. Take care! Thanks
Hi Deano 👍 Rest my friend and get yourself better. Looking at this update you have done quite a bit and it’s looking really interesting the way the track layout is look. Keep safe and well my dear friend Andy
Hello Andy Thank you for your kind words Yes I'm really pleased with the layout but a long way to go. Thank you so much for watching and commenting my friend it's much appreciated 👍
Hi Deano, Take it easy the railway will wait your health is far more important but what you have done so far looks great get back to it when you can. Cheers for a speedy recovery Robert.
Oh, Deano... Joyce and I are so very sorry you have injured yourself and are suffering. The table is quite impressive with what you have done. The hardest thing to do is accept the situation and do as the doctor says, but that delay is much easier to deal with than a full surgery and setting yourself way behind. Hopefully you can get a couple circuits going and run some trains! Hang in there as best you can. You have every right to be bummed and/or angry, but take it easy for your sake and all around you! Cheers and kindest regards for a quick recovery
Thank you so much Anthony and Joyce Yeah I'm feeling really down and fed up and I guess I need to vent my frustration. The upper level is running but still need to wire the lower level but I will get there in the end. Thank you so much for all your support it really does mean a lot to me.
Hi Deano , you just have to take care of your self so that you and your family can have the best possible outcome. Your layout will wait for you and the reward of having a layout running will eventually be achieved. After all more that half of the fun is the process of building it. All the best for the future
You need to rest deano your health comes first diy and hobbies come second to your well being hope you feel better soon my friend if there’s anything I can do let me know
Hello Colin, I hope you're well. It's going well nothing as grand as you build but I'm happy I tried to stick to the original plan with a few tweaks. All the best and thank you for everything.
Hello Stuart Thank you I'm really pleased with how the layout is progressing definitely. Yes mate it's just frustrating and I guess I needed to vent some of that. Thank you so much for watching and commenting all the best
Wishing you back to full health asap Deano so take it easy and do not over do it. You and your health are more important that the layout. Everything will get done in its own time. Enjoyed the update of the layout maybe some hills in the area you are not sure of to break up the view. Take care my friend.
Hello Tony Thank you for your kind words. Yeah I was thinking of some hills but a lot of the German layouts are very flat so not sure to be honest mate but I have lots of time now to plan lol. Thank you so much for watching I really appreciate it.
Hi Deno, sorry to hear about your situation with the injury I know it’s very tempting to crack on with the layout but listen to the doctors advice and learn to take it easy layouts are never finished so what’s the rush hope you feel better soon cheers Al
Thank you so much for the kind words Al, it's definitely tempting to keep working on my layout but I guess my health comes first. Thank you so much for watching and commenting it's much appreciated 👍
Hello Deano. I've only just been able to catch up with this video. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Hopefully you are feeling a little better now. It's good to see that you have managed to make a small bit of progress anyway though. Take care. Mark.
Hi Deano, sorry to hear your news, just take your time and recover. Take your time and enjoy what you have achieved so far. I am in the process of dismantling a Märklin layout for a friend. There are huge numbers of locos and rolling stock, if there is something you might be looking for just let me know and I’ll see if there is something. That curve track if you haven’t ordered it drop me a line as I have surplus plus other pieces of C track including points. Kind regards Adrian
Please listen to them buddy, and try to take it easy, gutted for you, we can wait, we will still be here regardless ok, and if you need to chat, just drop us a message for a rant if you want. That incline looks amazing mate, proper talent there
Deano, sorry to hear this. As we get more mature (older) like myself there are many things that are physically beyond our capacity. In the last couple of weeks with all the rain, the gutter on one side of the house was overflowing. I thought about borrowing one to reach the second storey but thought better of it. I could just see myself up there getting distracted and falling off. So I found a service in a local site offering various services and engaged someone to clean the gutters for $170.00 which was a bargain. I told him I thought the roofers had not cleaned their mess when replacing the shingles. He went up the ladder and said “you’re right” as the water burst out the bottom of the downspout -gallons and gallons of it. He cleaned everything up and was done within an hour. Rather than buy that new digital loco, pay someone to help you lift/move stuff. I have the same Eurostar and it runs great and quiet too. Can you explain why you are using that track as instead of Flextrack? Stay well and look after yourself Regards Charlie
Hello Charlie Yes your right paid help is sometimes the best way. I used 3 rail marklin and 2 rail Trix track it's far superior to Peco but it's quite expensive. Thank you so much for watching and commenting all the best.
Sorry to hear whats been going on buddy , anything you need or anything i can help you guys with dont hessitate to ask if im free ill always help where i can
Hi Deano. The layout is looking great so far and, amazingly, you have things running now! Actually to see how much you have done in such a short space of time is stunning! But as the medical experts have said, maybe you did too much in such a short time period. I know what it feels like to feel time slipping by when you have things to do and how tough it can be mentally to have to sit there on a beautiful day not being able to do anything due to a medical condition. But maybe look at it this way...All layouts take time. We decent ones do definitely. You have accomplished much more than the average modeler would be able to do. So you have to take it easy? So what? The layout will still be there when you feel up to carrying on and so will you instead of having to look out of a hospital window. You can't really do much for your hobby from a hospital bed no matter how cute the nurses are! I would take the time to sit and enjoy your locos running around while you run ideas around in your head of what to do next and have the occasional potter around doing the odd bit. For example, all I have managed to do myself in the last week is to trim a sliver off one of my shed doors so that it closes properly before fitting a lock with handles on it. When will I get that done? I have no idea, but it WILL happen, hopefully soon. Currently I am planning in my head the best way to get the under baseboard shelving built. I've learned to love the time that I spend doing that as I always end up with fresh ideas and better ways of doing things or remembering things that I have forgotten that will need doing. So Deano, my heart goes out to you but try to look on the bright side. You have a partially working layout. Before long you'll have more working. Just a bit at a time, as much or as little as you can. The old saying goes 'Slowly, slowly catchey Monkey'. It doesn't say anything about catching a bloody huge Orangutan or silver-back gorilla. Chances are they would rip you apart! (especially if you call the orangutan a monkey! - Terry Pratchett reference there lol). I always look forward to your videos, as I look forward to catching up with you on RDG's livestreams. Call me selfish but I want you there, not laid up in a hospital bed! And I'm sure your wife and family feel the same So, having now seemingly written a small novella, I had better end it here. Just know we are all here for you. As Rob say's, if you need a chat or a rant or just to get things off your chest then give a shout and we'll come running (well maybe not running in my case lol.) Take care my friend. Ignore the world and its worries and immerse yourself in your hobby, even if it just sitting there and planning. I will hopefully see you soon, and maybe even literally if you're planning on going to Crewe Model Railway show 😄 Happy Modeling buddy 🚂🚞🚞🚃🚃🚃🚃

Oh mate, I’m so sorry. I know that you were so looking forward to getting stuck in rebuilding the layouts, you must be so disappointed with the way things have turned out for you but - and this is important - you really must rest up as the doctors have said. No matter how tempting it is you must resist the temptation, it will still be there when you are rested and so will we be too. Take care mate and if there is anything I can do then please shout! 👍🏻❤️. Cheers. ……….Graham
