As a passionate mountaineer I very much like this fantastic motivational speech. When hiking up a mountain I use to enjoy every single step of the climb and I never look up at the peak. If I looked up I would only get disencouraged about the far way distance and in my head I would say "this is too far, I cannot make it!". The obstacle is always in our minds. This is why during a hiking trip I always concentrate on the path and enjoy nature around me. I never look up. When I'll have reached the peak I can look down on the long tedious way which I have conquered and be proud of myself. The path is the goal! Enjoy it with small steps. This is so true about anything in life.

After many recommendations I watched the new Disney movie Soul last night and the theme of that movie fit perfectly with this idea. We sometimes get the idea that it’s the mountain tops or accomplishments that bring happiness when really it’s about creating that happiness every day with what we choose to do and using the mountaintops to guide our progress and know that we are on the right track!
