    Best explanation so far on all the charging variations I've seen. Too many people struggling with this, the Porsche centres really need to give their customers some training/help.

    Paul, thanks for the very informative video. I did hear your comment about the Taycan Hotspot only being used for some car settings and that 2020 do not support data. Is there a chance that will be changing in a future software update for 2020 models? Mine is arriving in November and I appreciate the data hotspot feature even in my Chevy Bolt EV.😉

In the lower-mid screen, where you would adjust your A/C temperatures and etc. There's a ''power button'' that you can press, it's located in the bottom right corner. After pressing that one, some options will pop-up on the PCM (main screen). You can pick either you can set the screen in rest mode or always on, etc.

    How do you set the second key - say for your wife to drive the car, rather than using guest as this doesn’t save seat settings.

    • @paulsteinbruner2129
      @paulsteinbruner2129  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ken, you’ll need to create another Porsche ID for the second driver. This can be done using the original My Porsche account, add secondary user. Next, you’ll create another driver profile using the setup assistant as shown in the video. To pair a key to a profile all you need to do is use that key to start the car, activate the profile you want to pair and then shut off the car. The key will remember what profile was used last and will bring up that profile the next time that key is used to unlock the car.

      @@paulsteinbruner2129 I am new to Porsche and my car is on order but I thought I would get a head start. I created an account on MyPorsche. I do not see anywhere on the website where I can add a secondary user. Also, you video makes reference to a PIN. If I go into my account settings (LOGIN and SECURITY), the text explanation says I can change my ID, Password or PIN but there is no field for adding or changing a PIN. I haven't registered a vehicle yet so maybe that makes a difference? Also, the account is in my name but the vehicle will be registered in my wife's name. Does that make a difference with adding it to MyPorsche?
