I understand that the car uses Verizon for connectivity and you state on the video that you can use the car system (instead of ApplePlay) to make and receive phone calls. Does that mean that you need a separate phone number for the car or will the car use your regular (IPhone) telephone number?

I just bought a brand new turbo S and had this installed. I have no parking mode option?!? Of course, the dealer is clueless. I can’t imagine a 2024 911 isn’t capable of parking mode…but it doesn’t even show up as an option in the menu. What version are you running? I updated the firmware and phone version 1.3, dashcam version 1.45….? Cameras are at version 6.2…

I disagree on what it is said in sec 30. If you dont have the pre wiring option, you can DIY it. It is fairly simple provided you feed comfortable working on you car. The wiring kit only costs USD 100.

Everytime I start the car, it asks for my 4 digit code, is that normal? I have a profile created for me as the owner. Can one be created for someone else who always drives the car too or do they have to be “guest”

Own a 2023 Macan. Apple CarPlay only works well with the primary driver, my wife. Every time I use the car I have to manually connect with Apple CarPlay which can take several minutes if it works at all. Very annoying. Dealership has been no help.

Hi Paul -- just bought a 2023 Macan over this past weekend, so I've been watching your videos. Super helpful! With respect to creating driver profiles -- I don't have an option to create multiple. I run the wizard, it finishes, I can configure and that's it. No option to name the profile, or create others. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Paul, I have just acquired a CPO 2023 911 Turbo S Cab and need to figure out what program to choose on my Porsche Charge-o-Mat trickler: NORMAL or Li-ION. I guess it depends on what battery is in the car (which has 40 miles on it). I cannot find out what type of battery I have without taking the frunk plastic cover off which, due to a very bad back, I cannot do. Dealer closed today. Thanks.

Great car to drive, but PCM is the worst I've used in a car I've owned, a real disgrace to Porsche. If the new 2024 Macan is just as bad, the brand will change and I can say it won't be a Tesla

For less price, FitCamX makes a dashcam that actually integrates better on the car. It's stealthy and doesn't look like just another aftermarket camera like this one. Also no need for that extra Porsche pre-wire stuff.

Paul good video but it isn't working? I had set my screen with a medium size tile on the right with two small tiles beneath it. On one of these tiles it would give me a picture of the album cover of the song being played. I want to keep that and like your idea of NAV in one tile and the on/off engine switch in the third tile is good because it would be a faster way to turn it off from the way I now do it. What's happening is before when I would touch the arrow in front of these tiles my display of "favorite" channels would shrink allowing me to see the content of these tiles. For some reason now when I touch the arrow it shows the a/c settings? I can't eliminate that info with is on one large size tile. Can you help? So frustrating I can't fix it and this just started on it's own. Please help. Thanks Rick.

I ordered my '24 Cayenne S with the dashcam pre-wiring option. I assumed, and as you stated, that there would be cost-savings for the installation. Upon delivery, I inquired about the dashcam installation. Dealership quoted me $1,200! I declined. Hopefully some brave soul will post installation tutorial so I can do it myself.

If your Cayenne comes with the night vision camera, when center gauge is selected, scroll the dial knob down all the way and the night vision will appear as the center gauge.

Thanks for this video. Just took delivery of my 2024 Cayenne S and noticed there are 3 HomeLink buttons under the rearview mirror. Did you have to program those separately?

The dealership tried to program it but they said there was a 50% chance it would not work. I tried and tried, watched videos and they all seem different. But this video did the trick and I can't thank you enough. What a great video and much appreciated.

Is there a PCM owner manual to help explain what all you can display or show or control in the touchscreen and in the instrument/driver screen? I notice, for example, that you apparently do not know how to configure the right-side information screens in the instrument panel; this is done with the settings screen in the main menu on the touchscreen (wheels at far right) -- and this is very important to many people including myself (to have data displayed that I refer to a lot). You can also change the orientation of the map in the instrument panel (both 3D and 2D in direction of travel, or 2D with north up) and can change to auto-zoom or not, by clicking on the screen when scrolling through and reaching the map (whereby you'll get a menu with these other items). I personally can't stand a pseudo-3D map view on any computer screen in a car, as none of them are really aniy good and they only serve to cause confusion. There's also a useful feature to pull up surrounding gas stations, or restaurants, or charging stations, etc., in the map (both via icons in the touchscreen and via using voice commands).

Bring back the analog gauges. We need to stop copying Elon. These cost cutting efforts are getting out of hand for a 200k product. So sad. 😥

Hold down voice command button for 3 seconds to bring up Siri when connected to car play. Also swipe right the bom icon to bring up your Home Screen. To custom the widgets displayed go to options menu. Homelink pops up on its own when it’s in range of your base transmitter so shortcuts aren’t needed. An icon is also displayed on right hand side. I use the shortcut key for auto start/stop.
