Question: is your myPorsche app updating the charge status of your car? Ours does not.

Biggest disappointment is the lack of proper one pedal driving. Absolutely useless implementation by Porsche. Auto mode sort of works but it ends up being more abrupt than true one pedal driving. I want it to feel like an EV not an ICE. It's a Porsche, the drivers wish (not some grey haired old fart on the Porsche AG board) should be key. There should at least be an option for true OPD in range and normal modes. And no, it's not less efficient if you drive smoothly.

Porsche recommends 85% max. Yet there's no simple single location to put that in. Plus it's now buggy as hell so it ignores my home profile and flies past 85% then spends the whole holidays sat at 100%. Useless. Great video disentangling the mess Porsche have created.

My Cayenne doesn’t show “rolling code system detected”. It goes directly to “synchronized successfully” but doesn’t actually work. Who do I contact for support? Homelink told me to contact my dealer. The tech at my dealer said the best they can do is check if they can configure it to their garage door, which is not a Security 2.0 door. I tried multiple times with the same result.

I'm surprised these didn't launch with a NACS port

Excellent and easy to understand.

The first installation is a pain. Since your phone is already connected to the car by wifi it will simply refuses to stay connected to the camera wifi since that connection does not provide internet. I had to disable phone bluetooth and disable autoconnect to car wifi hotspot for it to work. Then and only then can you connect to the dashcam wifi and keep the connection. Always connecting directly to the dashcam is a very bad idea: it means that your phone has to disconnect from the car which stops android auto and music (and you have the same problem as above). Better is in the dashcam settings to set the dashcam to connect to the car onboard wifi hotspot. The video's are 1min long each and if you have both camera's it contains 2 video streams. Side note: when you read the car hotspot wifi password from the screen, you cannot tell the difference between a zero and a capital O. You have to edit the password and then it uses a font where you see the difference (the zero is with a little dot inside). My car's password was using 2 zero's and 1 capital O. That alone took me 10min to find.

Thank you so much for your video and time! Super helpful. Why does Porsche make this so incredibly complex. As a new Taycan owner, getting the charging right has been incredibly frustrating. The process and interface of Porsche's charging system are very confusing for consumers, even if it makes sense to the developers. Way more complicated than it needs, the User Interface, particularly the toggles in the app, are not intuitive and lead to unnecessary confusion. Feels like a case of developers designing for developers not the end user. Anyway, thanks again!

here is my million dollar question. does the Macan EV have ADAPTIVE recuperation like the Taycan does? because I am currently driving a Macan Turbo with ACC, but it does not seem to have adaptive recup. that was one of the nicest feautures ever... why would they not include it in the Macan? it's so comfortable... lift the foot and be safe... otherwise cruise along

How do you have the option to set the charging current to 40A? I have connected mine to a 3-phase and the max I can adjust is 20A, whereas it should be 32A? Am I doing something wrong?

GREAT video on a horrible UI UX. I have a Macan EV on order, replacing my Macan GTS so I'm glad you made this video so I see how everything is done. (VW/Audi/Porsche should take notes from Tesla and Rivian - their UI software is so good and their phone app just kills Porsche Connect. I let mine expire a year after I bought my GTS and it's evidently still bad per my neighbor who took delivery of their Macan EV. This is really kludge).

What a ridiculous process….I’ve had BMW’s for 20yrs all you had to do was literally hold the remote close to the rear view mirror press both buttons simultaneously and done. Just got a 992 GT3 and can’t believe how convoluted this setup is 🫠

No wonder VW is failing in China. The software for the infotainment systems SUCKS still, even with Google's assistance through the integration of Android Automotive. What's the point of having an EV if the software is still dated?
