    In a kind universe, that child would have a mutant variant of the virus, and the human would have a natural immunity to the mutant variant which would prompt a response making him able to fight the regular version of the virus -- and on that day a cure would be found.

    I wonder if his suit was punctured when he caught Oler, and he did the helmet bit to cover the fact so as to not traumatize them

      I don't think we'd design an isolation suit that was so weak to punctures.

    You witnessed Glory! The ultimate Glory of humanity! He did not cower, he did not hide, he chose his moment and entered immortality. Thousands will remember him. stories will be told as long as there are those who tell them.
    He transcended mortality, defeating our Father the only way He can be defeated. By becoming Legend!
    That one will never die. His flesh may pass, as is the way of all flesh, but his spirit will live on.

    the human immune systems a hell of a thing, i wouldnt be shocked if he just..never got sick, or not sick enough to die... sort of like how so many have antibodies from cv19 but never got sick enough to have even known that waswhat was up..

    • @citizen_grub4171
      @citizen_grub4171 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah. Story made it quite clear that the human immune system can't handle *that* virus even a little. He ded.
      That said, medical science moves surprisingly fast. Give it a couple more generations, and that virus'll be a footnote.
      Provided, ya know, the antivaxxers don't muck everything up.

      Nah, it's that fecking video game, Fruit Ninja. Some arsehole patched it with onions in place of the fruits. DAMN the Onion Ninjas! Damn them all to hell! Must be a widespread patch, even Agro has mentioned it before. At this point, might need to be classified as a virus.

    My brain keeps going, "that's not how viruses or poisons work." Butt yeah, taking it at face value I also assumed that his suit tore when he caught the kid.

    • @stratometal
      @stratometal ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There was a hiss of pressure difference as he took the helmet off, meaning if the suit had punctured everyone would have heard it. I imagine the suit had higher pressure to push away any particles in case of ruptures as a last defense.

      No there are plenty of viruses where a host animal are carriers but it doesn't bother them but are deadly to others like us humans.
      So yes that is how they work.

    A society that advanced would be able to engineer a cure quite easily I would imagine - I appreciate "space magic" but a species of trillions, in a galaxy with many thousands of sentient species who owed you one would be able to get that sorted in a week :D

    FFS, its not MOTLING, Its MOLTLING. Its got that L before the T which IS pronounced.
    Silly pronunciation errors like that may be forgivable for a non native English speaking narrator, but not one for whom it is his native tongue.

      Considering he's South African, what makes you think that his English is the same as your English? I can think of multiple countries that speak English, yet pronounce and spell things differently, as if they were different languages altogether.
