    My man deserves a medal for the amount of times the words 'roof' 'peak' and 'piece' were uttered. Felt like you were going to bust out into a roof peak rap at any moment.
    Jokes aside this is a great tutorial, definitely upping my Valheim game from these vids! Keep them coming!

      Yeah let me tell you... Having to enunciate the beginning of each of those words together, over and over got pretty annoying. lol
      Thanks friend, will do!

    The peak of roofing guides! 😁Great job covering all the wacky scenarios you can run into with curvy and angled roofs and how to fill in those gaps

    If I had to describe this video in only 3 words, they'd be:
    Viking
    Roof
    Peak

    We really need triangle shaped roof, both pointing down and up.

    thank you so much for this tutorial. good explanations and encouragement to experiment.
    And I hope you'll never have to say 'roof peak pieces' ever again. This must've been exhausting for you

    • @9byte
      @9byte  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you!
      Yeah lol I tried to tone it down a bit but I found it was too confusing with all of the mentions of the word 'roof' so I actually re did the entire script with a few changes and with more 'viking roof peaks' and 'roof peak pieces' mentioned to clarify better. Hopefully not too may though! lol

    Use a roofpeak on a roof to create a snappingpoint for a roof. Sounded like hocus pocus, but makes sense now lol. Good vid matey

    The hell is a viking roof peak? xD Its a roof peak, sure, but nothing really viking about it, viking houses were much simpler 😜 Looks awesome, and fits into valheim though 😀

    • @renlish

      Viking architecture did often include decorative roof design - not quite as pronounced as these, but they were definitely there with "peaks" leading into figureheads. I wish we could do the proper curved roofing in Valheim, thiough. THAT would be cool.

    • @9byte
      @9byte  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@renlish Totally agreed! Some extra angles would be SO COOL!

    • @ClayInvictus
      @ClayInvictus ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@renlish No, there are no finds or historical sources that suggest that. Sure, they COULD have done it, but they COULD have done almost anything for all we know (very little). The things you think of as "viking style" is mostly artists' interpretations and imagination.

      I was about to comment the same thing. Yes, Viking houses never looked like this.
      Stave churches are the closest thing from around that era.

    4/5ths in and I'm wondering if I should've started a counter for every time "roof peak" is being said. Sounds like one of those drinking games that americans are so fond of.
