So true. The evolution of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound is like a skeleton trying on different skins. Whereas other artists that try new sounds it's like they're putting on a whole different body each time and it doesn't feel as genuine because the core identity isn't there. Not sure if that makes sense, but no matter what no direction YYY goes in, you can always see and feel their core identity in it and that's why their experimentation and evolution always works.

YYY's spreads art in every new sound, in every word, in every image they deliver. Is hard to describe how I feel inside each time I listen to the music of these geniuses of contemporary music, one of my favourites bands since 'Fever to tell' back in 2000.
I keep coming back to this everyday. It resonates with my current situation. At times life seems so overwhelming, kinda like all around me is on fire & I keep telling myself "I'm fine, this is okay" 1 day I will get to water, and will be released from the "binding of my teachers" and maybe then my burns will truly be able to heal.
Heard this on the radio here in Los Angeles.. Thought it was a new band and the vocals immediately caught me on a Portishead (Cowboys) vibe and delivery and angst and tone.. I should have known Karen O was still digging and producing like a true artist.. great song, great band. Love it.
