Leshy is a Slavic 'forest spirit' type thing, sort of like an old man nymph or dryad that watches over an area of forest and doesn't tolerate anyone disrespecting his territory, such as doing things like hunting and chopping down trees without express permission, or even just passing through unannounced. They can be appeased, or even befriended, but the wrath of a Leshy is a terrible thing.
Also appeared in Witcher, Inscryption and Thea: The Awakening/Shattering;o) Fascinating mythology!

Speaking of a D&D setting with dead or missing gods, grimdark premisis, and incentive to fraternize with dark powers, there exists an setting called Grim Hollow for 5e. It might be worth a look.
I've actually played a small campaign in that setting. Was actually pretty fun.

Dodgeroll on B is probably going to make most sense to most people. This is what I usually bind it to, unless it's something like Cross Code where I am aiming with the right stick, then it's much better on one of the shoulder buttons, as you can dodge and aim at the same time 9and this is actually a mechanic in Cross Code where you can dodge mid aim, it teaches you it in the 3rd combat tutorial)

Your idea for a D&D campaign sounds like Stormbringer, in that system you made demon pacts to cast spells.
On one hand, I really want to watch more of this, on the other, I don't want to spoil anything. I kind of ended up doing that with Hades. Also, does that background music sound similar to AC: Odyssey for anyone else?

Yeah I watched so much Hades that there was no point in buying the game anymore
this feels like a mix of dragon quest builders and binding of isaac, wrapped up in a cuphead artstyle with a satanic theme. i like it, we need more games like this, that take 2 genres that dont normally intersect and make them work.

I think that the idea Wanderbots had about his D&D campaign sounds a lot like Shin Megami Tensei/Digital Devil Saga/Persona, I like it!

Decorations actually do have a practical use. They'll sometimes be requested by followers, but they also generate faith, like, in general, and keep followers happy.
My dad has made a homebrew campaign where the players have to decide whether to aid the archfae that made the new plane in getting it cemented. They also can aid the void entity that wants the plane destroyed because it was created in its domain. Depending on their decisions and how they end it, they could become gods or spread their faith to the new plane. The new plane has no gods until it gets cemented.
Finally, Cult of the Lamb.
I think centering a game of D&D around the concept of making deals with entities is an interesting idea. Just know that you will have to deal in a fairly "transactiony" sort of way. People know the tropes. And I have been on the side where we looked at the wording of a deal offered to us for a good hour and a half, just to reject it in the end. I feel a bit conflicted about the idea of trading favours. Maybe do that in a sort of, "players do a task and I pay them when they need it," fashion. Else you will run into the problem of "the service has been provided, you must pay up now." While the service in question was not worth the price that they weren't told.
Just my two cents from a writing perspective.
That's a solid perspective, but at the same time the best answer is just try to write interesting characters, even if you're writing nothing but evil gods it doesn't mean they have to have unfavorable pay offs, you could think of it as Chaos in Hades, where it's always worth it, if you don't suck.
You can have somthing like blessings and curses. A blessing can be you get a buff to your strength but you get a small debuff to somthing else. And if you have gods and demons with diffrent ranks you can get a curse that will give you better blessings from low rank gods but high rank gods will give you worse blessings. And another curse can that both the buff and debuff has more effect.
Edit: then you don’t need to worry about the wording. Example ”accept my blessing and you will become stronger but you will be less charmig( buff strength, debuff to charisma)”
Dude, this is crazy, the music itself gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside, and the gameplay and cult management looks so fun! I'll probably add thos to my list of favorites with the likes of Dead Cells and Darkest Dungeon!

As for the "Making a deal with entities" thing, check out the Choice of the Deathless series for some ideas; essentially one of the biggest professions is being a lawyer to prevent contracts of that type from being too onesided in the favor of demons, while still having to appease local gods and the like.
I can't wait for the full release I pre-ordered the game and can't wait to have fun playing it
This looks nice, but I remember I stopped being interessted because I some features I don't fully remember not being in the game. Nothing promised as far as I remember, but something that made it slightly less interessting.

If any of my players of my DnD campaign see this video, please know that my major Gods died a long time ago before this game came out.
try puting the worshipers back to manual labor and back to worshiping, if they give you one devotion each time they arrive at the shrine, well, you can generate it faster

I actually play with family a lot for D&D, and funny that wander says that No D&D is better than bad D&D, my dad actually says the opposite, "Any D&D is better than no D&D."
I disagree, i have a MORON of a friend who is starting a campaign, without any knowledge of the game outside of flying by the seam of their pants in mine.
To give some examples of what they had before i talked to them.
A plot where the races just suddenly went to war (and expects the party to be multiracial)
An enemy who just teleports one of the party into the sea of fire.
Is trying to ban certain classes because people he doesn’t like, likes those classes.
Tried to make a vampire the first enemy.
0:10 instent buildup just to shoot me in the back XD

The main issue with your dnd setting idea is that it would come with a lot of limitations that would rub modern 5e-players the wrong way and be almost impossible to get help with or talk to anyone about with endless "you're doing it wrong, nerd"s.
I actually have a fairly similar setting to what you're talking about. Most races are not inherently magical. They have to make deals with entities or blaspheme in various ways in order to gain access to magic. All of which result in various brands around the body (literally in the case of wizards). Mechanically this means there are no sorcerers, and none of the classes learn spells inherently through level up. Instead they have to source scrolls, tutors, magic manuals, ingestible monster parts, and holy texts. Which often makes them beholden to outside entities. That isn't just a warlock thing in this setting. Wizards and witches form covens and academies out of neccessity, not just for the joys of learning. Clerics form churches because the devotion they show their god is what lets them get access to higher spells. Druids keep groves because the magic inherent in the world that they use for their spells has to be cultivated and empowered more and more in order to get access to more potent spells. The process of improving your level is baked into the struggle and network of playing that class. Which means you have to do *incredible* amounts of effort if you multiclass.
It also means that, for the average 5e player that makes their character and then comes to the table expect the DM to cater to them and bend the world to suit their character, they just simply can't play in this setting. They have to weave their character soundly into the setting and let themselves be beholden to the various organizations and structures found there in. Which most players seem to find anathema in my experience.
I see where your going with this, but im sorry that you deal with those players.
I get that most players expect a small level of flexibility from the DM, but only as much as an improvising when something goes different from planned.
DnD is about the story you want to make, not what the handbooks say you should make.
And those players who want you to cater to their every whim, they can find someone else to bully.
