I think Sharon died because she didn't put any of her own hair into the potion. So it didn't actually work on her. Kind of a give and take situation. In order to take, you have to give a bit of yourself. And she didn't, so even though they gave her the potion, it didn't have any effect on her.
I disagree with the oven being a Sylvia Plath reference. I think it's more a Hansel and Gretel reference, because Lilia says she had a friend who died in an oven and "she had a nice house too," probably meaning the witch's gingerbread house. Hansel and Gretel are even in the end credits.
@@AlecBaldwinsTriggerFinger exactly, and probably the average viewer doesn't know who Sylvia Plath is, plus there's a page from Hansel and Gretel in the end credits.
I love Jessica’s theory of Jennifer Kale being a midwife, and this is what Agatha was referencing when she said, “I have always hated you, but I left you alone because what you were doing was important. Not this Kale Kare crap, the real work.” Brewing life.
What if she was working on an elixir of life and she was close to achieving it. Her experiments were prolonging the lives around her and that man that “bound” her was profiting off death somehow thus calling her an “inconvenient woman”.
I've been loving the show, i dont like how some commentators have reduced their opinion of the show to "its a show for women, i like it, but its not for me" idk kinda seems close mindes
At 37:40 -- HARD AGREE! Jennifer Kale as a female Black witch making healing potions, would have been helping her community and other marginalized people access medical care, something the medical establishment of the time would have denied them, and her as a practitioner. I think this is what Agatha means by "I left you alone because you were doing important work." I actually didn't clock it the first time either, the pace of the episode was fast like that, but episode breakdowns helped me realize this. This show is GOOD, folks! Love it... I hope she gets her magic back!
@@Goldenself Not sure how "likes to sous vide" narrows anything down. Now if they try more specific questions and the sigil doesn't work I'd agree. Maybe in another episode.
Or he’s not lying, since he’s talking about his mortal parents, the Kaplans, but any time it relates to magic/Wanda, it’s blocked cuz he got jinxed with the sigil when Billy Kaplan died
In regards to not understanding Agatha's motivation for going down the road, I think you all may be forgetting that she never actually intended to go down the road in the first place. Her plan was to lure the other witches to her basement, trick them into blasting her with their powers and sucking them dry so she could defend herself against the Salem Seven
If that was her plan (agatha) all along, then why did she reveal to Lillia that she can only steal magic if they blast her. She’d be foiling her own plan before it begins.
I think Agatha not want to go or even thinking about the road until Teen showing up and make up her mind. She also need her power back, so what choice she have now if not going to the road like Teen said.
@@larryjohnson5273reverse psychology. She gave her “weakness” as a fake olive branch. I’m more curious thats she clearly walked down a very different version of the road which and it seems like there’s some unresolved issue on the road. I wonder if she truly completed it, otherwise why did she need the Darkhold?
I don’t think Agatha actual completed the Road and didn’t get the “prize”. Something happened and she cheated and I feel that’s how she got connected to Mephisto and somehow went on the path to get the Darkhold. I think she made a deal that didn’t give her ultimate power and the Darkhold was her fail safe to get out. She wasn’t a villain in the comics and I feel like her portrayal now is the same. She may have developed this reputation due to some bad decisions and doesn’t mind taking what comes with it as long as she can achieve her goal, even if everyone thinks she is evil.
Did anyone else notice the 30-minute countdown clock was for Sharon. The other witches had a couple more minutes longer since they didn't drink from the wine glasses at the same time. Even if Sharon got the cure in time, she was never going to benefit from it on the witches' road because her hair wasn't part of the cure. Once her fate was decided, the trial opened the path for the others through the oven door because they still had more time on the clock. If not for the water pouring in, Sharon could had stayed alive in the house, but she could never return alive to the witches' road.
It makes me wonder if Lorna Wu is stuck alive in one of the trials because if she leaves, she dies. If only Agatha and 'Teen' make it to the final trial, and the witches are lost along the journey, what if Alice Wu-Gulliver finds her mother and decides to stay with her so she isn't alone for eternity. I mean I would rather prefer that as a possibility for a future return instead of her character dying permanently.
That's what I think too but I excited to know what the so called "Prize" at the end of the road (if she ever did go on the road) is. It couldn't have been the Darkhold as it's alluded she sacrificed her son for the book. Maybe if they're going for an Agatha redemption arc she would use this Prize to resurrect her fallen witchy collegues (we all know some are gonna die as Rio Vidal said in the trailer that bodies are piling up) and Sharon and thus completing the true purpose of the Road : a true Coven. But that's just wishful thinking
That would also make sense why Agatha DIDNT bring Rio. They aren't allowed to kill each other, and knowingly bringing Rio would be effectively killing Rio
One deep probably far-fetched idea I have. We all see how Lilia is getting a bunch of premonitions? I think one of them that she blurts out came true. When Sharon says "get off me" when she was going off the path of the road at the beginning of the episode it kind of parallels the same tone and words that Lilia said in episode 2. So what if Lilia is blurting out phrases that other characters would say in further episodes. For instance, the "I love you guys" could be from the teen.
Jessica, a question about your interesting take on Jennifer Kale. Could she, as a Potions Witch, have been providing abortion inducing medicines, like a Pennyroyal Tea. This was often the case for real spinsters who were labeled as witches as keepers of herbology that would provide these kind of medicines to the young women of the town. Often when the powerful male figure, like a Reverend or say in this case, a doctor, be outraged at this, similar to how so many on the Religious Right get outraged over this subject. Jennifer would see herself providing a natural ingredient service, what she is still doing with her "Goop" style company, and then running afoul of a medical figure who condemns this practice - because we all know how some men love dictating how women use their bodies. It would also be a clue on why she is so focused on Agatha giving away her baby for the Darkhold. I don't know if Marvel/Disney is brave enough to wade into these waters but it could be a subtext.
@@orishahar Sadly, I agree. That is several huge bridges too far for Disney. But I did see where Stevie Nicks (who is probably the rock star Lorna Wu is based off of) just released an Abortion Rights song/video called "The Lighthouse," which is a really gutsy move by an artist and music company. Maybe we are seeing the beginning of a sea change.
Y'all missed the term "glamour". Glamour indicates that the sigil could be hiding an appearance as well. So Teen could be a 200ft demon for all we know.
Ok...I think I recall in an interview that either Joe Locke or Kathryn Hahn, mentioned something about episode 5 being one to look out for....but don't quote me on that!
It seems like the Witches' Road has a consciousness of its own. I wonder if it's going to turn out to be a lot more sinister than we think. They've joked about human sacrifices. What if Agatha is trying to sacrifice the other witches to the Road in exchange for getting her powers back? Magic has to have a cost and if they're bargaining with supernatural forced they have to be willing pay a price for the power.
It felt like they were referencing birth when the coven is expelled from the house at the end. I know everyone says, Goonie, and maybe it is. But there was definitely some birth symbolism in there.
I wonder if Sharon's talisman was her bag and losing it meant she would lose her life on that trial. Or maybe Rio used it as a way to get into the road.... Like sensing it, pulling it into the earth then coming back out that way.
Mysteries should be revealed in the last third of the run... especially in a "witch" series where 3 is so dominant. First third should explain and get empathy. The second third should marinate and get the emotional balance. The third portion should be revelation and ownership, the croon.... it's that scientific...lol
I like that idea honestly! Three phases. This episode showed light on the “mother” Agatha bland the truth behind her child. Next episodes should follow up with your theory hopefully that would be cool!
Hang on… you bust out a Debra Jo Rupp impression & move on like nothing happened? I need this once an episode please 😂 Love the show! (Breakroom & Agatha)
It was said that the road is different for each coven so maybe Agatha doesn't know what to expect because it's different from when she last walked the road because the coven is different but knows enough to be suspicious of everything.
At 16: 39 I LOVE how you read the house as a metaphysical manifestation of Jen's body/mind as a potions witch! Very dream symbol, very metaphor, very awesome! ❤ (I mean dreams are more than just personal symbolic psychological exploration but they do involve that!)
We know that Agatha killed her original coven, the one with her mom. I think based off the trailer, Agatha kills another coven in the same fashion by absorbing their powers. We don’t know which one she went down the witches’ road with…or if she went down it at all. Some people seem to believe she’s lying about it. I think Agatha went down the witches’ road with her original coven and that’s how she got the darkhold.
@@ericgreen6127yeah, i think her speech when the other witches ask her about "what the road was like" (or something among those lines, right before sharon/ms. hart goes missing) sounded very vague and fabricated to me. like a politician trying to convince people to vote for them. i don't know. maybe she did go down the road. or maybe she didn't.
Also, something I noticed in the first episode is that in her detective office was a hinged picture of a boy and a bunny in front of it, and then when Rio shows up it changes into a plant...
I am thinking that Rio Vidal might be Blackheart, Mephisto's son. Taking in that when the diviner witch wrote the list for Agatha, instead of writing her name she just drew a black heart.
@@sarahcarry4037 And also the whole weird exchange between them where Agatha says 'you can't kill me, it's not allowed.' That is very specific wording, which would indicate there is like some sort of pact or contract with specific terms between them, and what do you usually make contracts with? Devils!
I think Vidal and Teen are in cahoots. I haven't watched episode 4 yet, so I'm not sure what I'll think afterward. When she was playing FBI and visited Agatha, she didn't seem surprised or even curious when they heard him rummaging around upstairs during the B&E. It also seemed like it was a little hint that Agatha was theorizing that two perps were involved in the murder due to the two airbags from the wreck. They could be qorking together and tag teamed to wake her up. Vidal might've even been the one to cast the sigil on him. 🤔 Another theory is that Vidal is using Teen and he doesn't even know it. Maybe Agatha hates Vidal because she tricked her into the sacrifice that took her son. Vidal also could've retrieved his soul and stashed it in Teen without him even knowing it. Many possibilities but I do believe they are connected in some way.
I’m really enjoying it and there’s a quality to it that I haven’t felt from other marvel items recently. The fact that I don’t know much yet feels novel and you can tell the people making it at all levels are enjoying it.
What if teen is the regular Wiccan story but instead of having a peice of mephistos soul he has a peice of Nicolas’s but he is still billy Caplin and Wanda’s son but he doesn’t know that and what if the accident in west view killed both his parents and instead of wishing for power he wishes for his parents to come back to life but instead of bringing back Jeff and Rebecca Caplin it brings back Wanda and vision or if he does wish for power then maybe he does a spell to get his parents back but the spell brings back Wanda and vision instead of the parents he means
That’s what I’m thinking will happen. “I just want my parents back” and then Wanda resurrects, Vision gains his color again, which kicks off house of m/visionquest simultaneously
I think he was walking the Witches down the whole time - he guided them through the trial. I think he's trying to get their powers to bring Wanda back and get revenge on Agatha
You're all so quippy! I love it! These are all good theories. I think Eric is right about Agatha's treachery being the big bad. No matter what, it was Mephisto all along.
This panel is so amazing. Im loving Agatha All Along and their analysis and discussion but honestly I would listen to these 4 talk about anything. Watched it live and watching again
You guys are wild for critiquing a streaming show for not being structured like the most bog-standard network procedurals. Are we collectively forgetting how to extrapolate, infer and wonder? I don't want to watch a filmed Wikipedia entry.
First, how did not one of you catch that they never put Sharon's hair in the potion? That's why she died. I did like that you caught that the friend in the oven reference was likely to Sylvia Plath. As for not knowing the character's motivations, I'm the exact opposite. I think we would be far less sympathetic to Agatha if we knew for a fact she was just using all these women and Teen. I think we got the most backstory about Jennifer the potions witch because she was focus of this trial. I think each trial will focus on a different witch. I think the Big Bad will turn out to be Agatha but it's past Agatha. The witch's road isn't just about getting her power back but is Agatha's redemption arc.
Was it explicitly shown that the others also put in their hair? I kind of assumed Agatha was the last person to put in their hair after everyone already did.
It feels like an Agatha Christie mystery, where we don't know anyone's motives or intentions or backstory until the end (when the murderer is revealed).
Not specifically about episode 3, but it’ll be pertinent soon: I think an important question to ask is how does Rio end up on The Witches’ Road? She wasn’t there when The Road was conjured, and we saw the way in disappear. So can anyone just portal in? I would think not. Does that invalidate The Road? Is it not actually The Witches’ Road as we know it?Maybe Rio governs The Road - or IS the road. Maybe The Witches’ Road is actually just an elaborate trap to claim the souls of witches and Agatha escaped, and Rio/The Road has been after her ever since. I doubt it lol, but it would fun 🤪
From the trailers it does appear that Rio breaks into the road somehow, as do the Salem seven. I wonder if Agatha et al. bury Sharon on the road and from her grave, Rio emerges.
@@ericgreen6127 Yes, Ive seen. My question is more how is she allowed to get in. A grave being a doorway would certainly be amusing, but it still feels like breaking the rules as they’ve been established.
@@MTonTV 100% it does feel like cheating. I’ve seen rumors that Rio is actually an entity/being that has the ability to do this. Source Funko Pop leaks on Reddit. Sharon’s death and burial is how Rio gets in.
@38:00 To continue the midwife/water theme and the full moon on the door: the full moon in witchcraft is associated with the fullness of a pregnant belly, water is the womb, the waters of creation. The ocean too is associated with birth in witchcraft as well as , water literally "breaking" into the house and forcing them into coming out a water slide.
Lilia's first premonition from the kitchen happened in this episode. Sharon yells, "Get off me," when she walks off alone just before losing her bag. I think this is what Lilia was referring to.
What if…. Teen IS Mephisto and Billy and Nicolas are souls he holds so they pop out at times. And perhaps when Wanda destroyed all the darkholds it somehow blended them and he needs Agathas knowledge of the darkhold and the road loophole to get unstuck. He thinks she will want the book back but really she is going to ask for her son back and then steal all the witches powers once they have them back so she wins all around.
@@IndomitableAde In the comics Wanda created Tommy and Billy from pieces of Mephisto. His essence somehow got shattered (don't remember the exact story) and two of those pieces were taken by Wanda and turned into her sons. After that Mephisto took them back which meant the end of the boys original form. However the souls still existed and somehow (a lot of people speculate it was done by Billy when he became basically god called Demiurge in the future but I am not sure if there ever was a confirmation of what really happened) they got reincarnated into two random boys. The story is very complicated, was changed couple of times and a lot of the pieces of the puzzle are missing but this is basically what happened. Gotta remember that Scarlet Witch, Mephisto and even Wiccan have some insane abilities so very few thigs would be impossible.
A couple things I’d like to bring up! I think Agatha DID walk the road, but was in a more bystander role like teen. She would be less of a contributor and more reliant on others, and that all the other witches died, making her terrified of taking the road. See how she encourages everyone to sip the wine but not drink it herself, suggesting that she has more of an understanding than everyone else. And I know that was played off as Agatha being selfish, but the antidote required the blood of someone who wasn’t poisoned! This trial could have been solved if Jenn realized the wine was poison, had 1 potential “sacrifice” and made the antidote, but they aren’t willing to sacrifice themselves for their coven making the trials more deadly to all of them! Agatha is keeping her cards close to her chest because she doesn’t want to have the others catch on to her backup plan in case things go south.
Agatha may not know with certainty what will happen because the road manifests differently for each group of witches. Notably, their nightmare hallucinations were personalized based on their pasts. Hence, Agatha may know that they will face trials but can’t be certain about the details of each trial.
Also, what might be binding some of the witches is self-doubt, especially the Jennifer Kale. Also, it would be interesting if the Teen placed the spell upon himself in order to confuse the other witches.
More nods to famous witch movies! This time the housewives aesthetic seemed to be pointing at Practical Magic but thinking we're looking at the older movie The Witches Of Eastwick. Which makes when teen says "very middle-aged second chance at love and I am here for it sort of ominous. All the witches are looking for second chances but the male character in that movie was Jack Nicholson as the Devil. Teen's gay but there are many types of love, including maternal. It's also a movie where the neighbour character doesn't fare very well. Going off a movies theme then Alice's trial may be based on The Craft and Lilia's air trial may be a little cross-promotion with Wicked. Yes! A singing trial! More singing!
I think the sigil spell on Teen works two ways kind of like a psychological two-way mirror. Not only does it hide his identity from others, essentially silencing him without, but it also lies to him and presents a false version of himself within. I think Teen believes he is Agatha's son, or possibly a reincarnation of her son, Nicholas Scratch. I think it will obviously be revealed that he is Billy Kaplan, but only after Agatha has become attached to him, and that will force her to choose between retribution against Wanda or redemption by saving Billy from Death.
Saw in the preview for ep4 that somehow on of the Salem Seven have chased them onto the road. We saw one turn into the whole group before so maybe that will happen here. As for how they got on the road, when one of them broke into the house before they scratched teen, which might be enough. A Nicholas Scratch, even.
I think Teen is a being controlled by Mephisto to get close to Agatha and kill all the witches. He just seems too used to the Road, and the fact that he was able to take Agatha slicing his hand open without so much as a wince weirds me out. How does one not react to that out of nowhere? He knows so much about the Road but doesn’t notice Sharon not putting her hair in the cauldron?
If the Salem 7 were after Agatha, then y did they grab after teen? Maybe they sense that they are somehow related? The witch says Agatha when she jumps through the window to grab him as well.
37:27 i told a few of my coworkers about this show who aren’t really into marvel but they are thoroughly enjoying it simply for the witch/mystery genre. small sample size but the average viewer is enjoying the show
I think sharon is forced to come back for one simple reason: Its written in the ballad. "If one be gone, we carry on Spirit as our guide." I thrink every coven that walks the road must have at least one death and that person becomes a part of the road to act as a guide for the coven.
The house was so beautiful like Jessica’s skin care store, everyone that walked into that beach house was dressed like her customers so I knew right away it would be a trial for Jennifer with her portion making, I loved how her skin care line randomly appeared in the house. It’s cool to see a potion witch. The next one looks like the 70’s episode with the Asian girl I’m sure it will be her trial and the coven will have to help her with her trial, than the next trial will be the card reading witch, than we will see Agatha’s trial which I have a feeling will be amazing. As far as Billy Wiccan if he’s somehow related to Wanda I wonder why he loves Agatha so much she tried to kill Wanda. It’s sad they left Tommy out but looking forward to more episodes they say there 38 min long but there really like 20 minutes with the credits which is such a shame i wish each episode was at least 40 minutes long there is so much to explore- 9 episodes is not enough if there 20 min each. I have a feeling we will see Sharon at the end it’s a little unbelievable they’d kill her off so fast.
i just realized that because sharon had two doses, teen was able to be unpoisioned to complete the spell. otherwise he’d have had to have a glass too to finish the bottle
Theory: they all have to give Agatha their powers willingly to face an enemy or escape the road and trust that she will give it back at the end, which will test her character.
I’m just now catching up so I’m not sure if you mention it, but I wonder if Sharon is going to come back as a ghost. If we listen to the lyrics of the ballad, “if one be gone, we carry on, spirit as our guide”
I am kewl with the looming influence of all these ppl who have made deals with mephisto in the background. Mephisto could be what we wanted from Kang and what Thanos was. A looming threat with the impact that we see before the direct confrontation. We need iron heart now to tie in more mephisto deals and the impact on our mcu world. I hope the body is billy kaplan with Nick possessing him disoriented and then end will be separating the two and our billy being able to take the body. I am kinda hoping they blend them or that we can have Nick Scratch as well.
I find it odd that Joe Locke’s character, “Teen” is gagged and bound in Agatha’s house…for 3 years? What happened to Ralph Bohner? Ralph was Agatha’s husband from “Wandavison”, as Monica Rambeau discovered when she went snooping around at Agatha’s house. Is Ralph actually “Teen”? Ralph was originally in the witness protection program when Agatha discovers him, enchants him and makes him play the role of Pietro Maximoff, in order to fool and get close to Wanda. It’s interesting to point out that Ralph was in hiding in Westview 3 years ago and “Teen” is essentially in hiding with a sigil spell concealing his identity from the witch community. It could a coincidence, but you never know.
🎉I'm rewatching the episodes.. realizing when she was in the library that was probably Dottie' book club/township (from WV) lmao ..it was probably her umteenth time doing it thats why they all just run with it now
OK, I like the theory that Nicholas scratch is possessing him sometimes what if the Demi urge is a curse cause from trading a baby for the darkhold and that will be the demiurge in the future is a curse and Nicholas scratch
I don't want to cry out Mephisto but I'm wondering who the actor is who holds the credit behind Ali Ahn. The one that shows a pentagram superimposed on Westview. We know all the principal actors are accounted for. So, unless that credit is attributed to the actors who play 'Teen's parents (Paul Adelstein and Maria Dizzia) there has to be a guest star we don't know about yet.
THE BOOK IS THE DARKHOLD! I don’t know if I’m late to the game or what… after watching the 7th episode… rewatched 1st ep… read the title: Dialogue And RHETORIC KNOWN HISTORY OF LEARNING AND DEBATE. Each word in the title is a letter of the name of the book… where evert copy was BURNT… when the book was destroyed in all UNIVERSES.
Another theory of mine is 1 Mrs Heart was mephisto's vessel to get to the witches road. Or they are all of Agatha sins n are ghost haunting her which could explain the Agatha being the villain all along. Maybe she's the one who put the curse on ? Family. Still think only 3 will walk out but I think Agatha, Wanda, Aubrey character. Still want Michael Keaton or Johnny Depp as him. Still say there's a Beetlejuice sculpture in a tree. Read somewhere or heard someone say they seen a sand worm.
what if agatha knows whats happening or the trial for the potions witch on the road because she actually walked the road before and experienced it , hence she threw away the wine because she know it was poison , thats why when kale was having the issues remebering all the components of the antidote she was able to tell kale that she( kale) knows what is missing. Maybe she connot tell her because this was the potions witch's trial . All in all that could possibly be the way that she completed the road before . Am i right to thnk that Agatha is NOT a potions witch? .Possibly, hear me out....... one witch is left standing at the end and that witch was( when she walked the road with the coven before and the coven she is walking with now) is Agatha. She knows whats happening. I predict only Teen and Agatha is left at the end.
If I hadn't been at work when this aired, my two questions would be: 1) Do we think that Agatha thinks that Teen is her missing child, possibly as part of a hex from Wanda? That's not saying that is who Teen really is but rather is it what Agatha thinks. 2) Piggybacking on something Eric said during the Easter Egg video, what do we think about this underground transportation system that Sharon mentions? Westview doesn't look like it could support a bus system, lest of all a subway system. Plus generally subways are built because land is precious and tightly packed with buildings (think NYC, DC, San Fran with sizeable subway systems) which is not a description of Westview, which has plenty of land. Also Westview doesn't seem like it's a suburb or even an exburb of a major city, so what's up with that?
Oh, that was DEFINITELY put in for a reason. There’s no way a town like that had a preexisting subway system. It was only mentioned as a setup for a payoff down the road.
Also, the change in screen ratio could mean seeing reality thru the eyes of someone. Bc in Wandavision whenever we were in the hex the screen ration changed bc we were seeing things thru Wanda’s warped perception. What if this is a way the show is telling us not everything we see is “real” or accurate?? I know its obvious bc it only changes inside the trial but what if it means something more? Also, what if Blackheart and Agatha are sisters?? Maybe after Agatha killed their mother she or another Coven put a spell or a protection so Agatha couldn’t do the same to her In Agnes world, Agatha sees her as a more advanced witch bc she sees her as a higher up cop. This is confirmed when she says that “she’s unstoppable”.
I think Agatha put that spell on him when she was an amateur that’s why her reaction was that way when they somewhat questioned her about it. It’s not just the when they questioned her it’s every time she seen the spell…her facial expression changes

Thank god for Jessica being there to point out the racially coded reference to Jennifer’s hallucination.
I disagree with the oven being a Sylvia Plath reference. I think it's more a Hansel and Gretel reference, because Lilia says she had a friend who died in an oven and "she had a nice house too," probably meaning the witch's gingerbread house. Hansel and Gretel are even in the end credits.
Right? That was a pretty obvious one I thought

@@larryjohnson5273 She only told LIllia, the person least likely to attack her anyway.
Mrs 🖤's hallucination was a called back from episode 1 of WandaVision
Love that the OG members are on Breakroom more often. Especially Voss! But would love to see Maude, Coy, and Hector again!
I think only one can make it to the end, and Agatha is holding that info back. That’s why she’s acting weird imo
Remember when Sharon said she would drink the blood of a virgin ? They actually did in the potion to get out of the first trial…..
Oooooh that’d be cool!
That would be a very good use of her character.
The save Agatha line could also be from teen because the other witches don’t like her that much
VERY good point! That makes complete sense!
That’s brilliant. I wonder if “I love you guys” will come from Alice Wu, because she seems so far to be the most empathetic and kind hearted.
Excited for Jessica’s video after hearing her discuss Jennifer Kale’s background. Can’t wait to see what details she’s uncovered!!
I love how Sharon said bury me in the kitchen, dies on the kitchen table.
I would love this so much but unfortunately I don’t think marvel would be brave enough to take a pro choice stance publicly
I love how Sharon was like the wholesome grandmother. 👩🏻🦳 😊😇
I’m pretty sure she briefly mentioned that in her I heart radio interview but it might just be wishful thinking lol. I wasn’t paying much attention
I think Agatha intentions are pretty clear though. She needs her powers back to prevent the Salem 7 from killing her
It seems like the Witches' Road has a consciousness of its own.
Witches reborn, Wanda resurrecting… super fun themes just in time for Halloween. Marvel has never been better for me
@@nailinthefashion same! I love the witchiness of it. I can't wait until the next episode.
Eric hit it on the head when he said a pure viewer would like the suspense. Otherwise, where's the fun?
9 episodes, the last 3 will be the juice
@@fumferingyes I guess most people are impatient ?
I think Sharon had to be "witchy enough" for the door to the road to have even open.
Didn't Teen say something about everyone has atleast a little magic in them
Hang on… you bust out a Debra Jo Rupp impression & move on like nothing happened? I need this once an episode please 😂 Love the show! (Breakroom & Agatha)
It was said that the road is different for each coven so maybe Agatha doesn't know what to expect because it's different from when she last walked the road because the coven is different but knows enough to be suspicious of everything.
At 16: 39 I LOVE how you read the house as a metaphysical manifestation of Jen's body/mind as a potions witch! Very dream symbol, very metaphor, very awesome! ❤ (I mean dreams are more than just personal symbolic psychological exploration but they do involve that!)
Great episode.
Would love to see Maude back! It's been a while.
No Eric…this is how Mephisto has broken *YOUR* brain…the rest of us have been okay, lol.
Agatha was trying to get out the house… THE MOMENT the door closed.
So if Agatha already went down the witches road with a coven, what happened to the other coven? Why is nobody asking this?
I think Aubrey Plaza's character was part of her old coven
Maybe we’ll find out later on
Maybe Agatha absorbed their power and killed them all.
I Googled Mephisto, saw that he had two children, and immediately thought of Rio because of what she said to Agatha in the two-part opener.
Unless they’re combining two characters she’s not Black heart her funko pop leaked and spoiled who she is it’s a different character
She even told Agatha that she has a black heart! I don’t know why no one is picking up on that.
Kaplan*
That’s what I’m thinking will happen. “I just want my parents back” and then Wanda resurrects, Vision gains his color again, which kicks off house of m/visionquest simultaneously
I think he was walking the Witches down the whole time - he guided them through the trial. I think he's trying to get their powers to bring Wanda back and get revenge on Agatha
Jennifer Kale and Johnny blaze are cousins in 616😊 so if anyone would know about Mephisto it would be her
You're the only person I've seen mention this.👍. Seems not many people know this. I hope they bring Ghost Rider into the MCU.
36:18 I’m good. I think you’re frustrated bc you want things outside of Agatha to be more important that they may or may not be. Agree with Jessica.
It’s silly cuz if they were more transparent he’d call it bland and too straightforward lol. It’s perfect imo. I’m hooked

@@mickmack3this is facts
Quite possible in the witches road song it says something about holding hands with Death.
It's possible.
That's what I was thinking 🤔
You're all so quippy! I love it! These are all good theories. I think Eric is right about Agatha's treachery being the big bad. No matter what, it was Mephisto all along.
This panel is so amazing. Im loving Agatha All Along and their analysis and discussion but honestly I would listen to these 4 talk about anything. Watched it live and watching again
Glad I was able to catch the live-stream earlier today! Can't wait for next week!
@@avhotaistudios1206They all waited for Agatha so they could put their hair in at the same time.
I think if they didn't put Sharon's hair, it wouldn't work at all. They didn't give her a potion in time OR may be teen lied 😮
☝🏾 I think Teen lied and he wanted Sharon taken out!
There are so many witch Easter eggs I'm shocked they haven't had one for Patti LuPone as Joan Clayton in Penny Dreadful.
It feels like an Agatha Christie mystery, where we don't know anyone's motives or intentions or backstory until the end (when the murderer is revealed).
1000% a Sasheer Zamata fan now. The acting. The face. The charisma. Fantastic
Teen getting hit by a car in the first episode could definitely be foreshadowing to a car crash, killing someone with Billy then entering the body
So far, in each of the three episodes, "Wanda" is mentioned. Will be curious if that trend continues.
And from the trailers and promos, we also see the Salem 7 (or who we assume to be them) inside one of the houses
I think she follows the Salem 7 in chasing Agatha, but it also helps to replace their missing Green Witch
I think yall messed up on the title lol 😅
@38:00 To continue the midwife/water theme and the full moon on the door: the full moon in witchcraft is associated with the fullness of a pregnant belly, water is the womb, the waters of creation. The ocean too is associated with birth in witchcraft as well as , water literally "breaking" into the house and forcing them into coming out a water slide.
36:47 why can’t yall ever let a mystery unfold? It’s 3 episodes in and you’re asking why you don’t have answers. Enjoy the ride sometimes.
I was a toddler begging the olives out of everyone's martinis.
Lilia's first premonition from the kitchen happened in this episode. Sharon yells, "Get off me," when she walks off alone just before losing her bag. I think this is what Lilia was referring to.
They have already made note in the show that the population of Westview is approx half of what it was to start. Many escaped, some died.
But how can he hold their souls when they were never real, just part of Wanda's elaborate spell?
@@IndomitableAdeTheir souls were real, their physical bodies were not.
@@Danny-uj3wh again, how? Where did their souls come from to construct bodies to house them? Is that part of the comics or some other property?
Jennifer may have been aiding underground railroad survivors, which is why her work was important....
I love that backstory!
Why would Agatha care?
@@GoldenselfShe’s a bad-guy but she’s not a bad guy. C’mon now
She's easily bad enough to not care about slavery at a time when most people didn't care about slavery

Seems like there are exactly the right number of episodes for each of the witches (if you inclued Rio) to have her own, plus teen and a denouement
Also, what might be binding some of the witches is self-doubt, especially the Jennifer Kale. Also, it would be interesting if the Teen placed the spell upon himself in order to confuse the other witches.
So glad to see Jessica back on here.❤
More nods to famous witch movies!
Shasheer in that white dress was 🫠. Great episode, really hope it keeps the same vibe throughout
He read the room it wasn’t a surprise once Jen said they need the blood of the unpoisoned
If the Salem 7 were after Agatha, then y did they grab after teen? Maybe they sense that they are somehow related? The witch says Agatha when she jumps through the window to grab him as well.
37:27 i told a few of my coworkers about this show who aren’t really into marvel but they are thoroughly enjoying it simply for the witch/mystery genre. small sample size but the average viewer is enjoying the show
i also really like it too and watch all marvel content
i wish disney plus shows was as long as break room episodes 😢
I think sharon is forced to come back for one simple reason:
Its written in the ballad.
"If one be gone, we carry on
Spirit as our guide."
I thrink every coven that walks the road must have at least one death and that person becomes a part of the road to act as a guide for the coven.
As a little Catholic boy I love when Erik brings up his Catholic upbringing. "Transubstantiation baybeeeee "
My absolute favorite panel. If hector was here itd be dream team
The witches road is the villain of the season where at the end Agatha’s will safe teen instead of sacrificing him like her son
Their are funky pops that give away the teen and Rio"s identity .
The Breakroom is By Far The Best TH-cam Panel Show!!!
I am kinda hoping they blend them or that we can have Nick Scratch as well.
jen did say that agatha son could be mephistos servent so maybe thats how they tie in mephisto into the show
Jessica over there like… “oh here we go!” Love her!
🎉I'm rewatching the episodes.. realizing when she was in the library that was probably Dottie' book club/township (from WV) lmao ..it was probably her umteenth time doing it thats why they all just run with it now
If Mephisto's mention does turn out to be a seed planted for a later episode, I cannot wait to see Eric's reaction 😂
Each word in the title is a letter of the name of the book… where evert copy was BURNT… when the book was destroyed in all UNIVERSES.
idk i immediately thought of the craft when they said jennifer was bound and how sarah was trying to bind nancy
Rio usually says in Spanish to Agatha “Te Veo”. In English more or likely for her character would be “see you later”.
If I hadn't been at work when this aired, my two questions would be:
1) Do we think that Agatha thinks that Teen is her missing child, possibly as part of a hex from Wanda?
The pentagram on the end credit map could be the "subway system"
Let’s be real. If any character from Bluey was a mcu witch it would be muffin. Bingo and bluey don’t have the unhinged brilliance of muffin.
Muffin is the best cartoon character in a loooong time.
