I always have loved Mana Geode and Holy Champion, because of the names, art and healing synergy. Love to have them in standard even tho in a different form. They are more playable now so I can see them more😁
Locations do their thing and then disappear if theyre expended. Anything resulting from their effect should naturally happen simultaneously with it so it makes sense for it to not allow room for another geode.
Maybe consider adding jailor for lategame, immune + overheal seems like a pretty potent combo and with the amount of tempo u can produce with this deck getting to 10 mana safely doesn't seem too problematic.
This was my favorite deck archetype to see on the stream. I might give it a try on launch day! I also really like the Diamond animation for Heartbreaker Hedanis.
Does overheal have a trigger limit per turn? If not the 1 drop draw a card seems silly in wild. Priest got enough cheap heal cards to draw it's entire deck, if you combine it with Radiant elemental and the other 2/5 minion that reduces hand card costs per played spell 🤔
I know it's a very specific thing, but those full art cards are really awful for viewers. Once you know exactly what all the cards do it's fine, but at first it's like what the hell is this new thing? Gotta pause whenever they hover over them to explain, otherwise you gotta look it up externally. General understanding isn't really the point either, specific wording is very important in any card game. For anything else it's easy enough to quickly read cards as they are played no matter how fast he goes, but not these. Just a minor detail, that's all.
Having the text so visible on cards is why I like watching Hearthstone streamers instead of other games. I don't play Hearthstone, I don't enjoy having to look up a card just to watch videos. So I'm hoping that players can turn off the full art option on cards, because I won't be watching anyone who uses them outside of preview events.
Hearthstone has a rotating core set now, so this set started a new rotation and old cards came back to replace cards in the core set that were leaving. And when they do this, old cards and changed to be more suitable for modern play, either to increase the power level of a card to compete with newer cards or to better fit with a design direction the team wants to take with the planned expansions. In the case of Holy Champion, it was changed to push the Overheal mechanic that is becoming a part of Priest's class identity. It was not inspire, however. It was just that "Whenever a character is healed".
Kibler knows the real trick to getting early expansion wins. Aggro. Everyone trying to make gimmicky combo and control decks work that fold under the littlest of pressure.
@Pave papi exactly. Theorycrafting is for fun, to try all the new wacky fun stuff. It's not ladder, nobody gives a shit if you stomp everyone as aggro in a closed event made for fun, if anything everyone will roll their eyes at you for being "that guy"
Yeah, a 4 mana 3/2 weapon isn't great against an aggro deck Edit: lmao Solary trying out that terrible Steamcleaner deck. Regis tried it out and absolutely hated it
theres such a big difference tho between a digital only card game and a physical one full artwork cards change nothing about the game other than cosmetically in HS
@@IamShellBee They change the game for people like me who don't interact with Hearthstone beyond watching videos of people playing. With the text being on the card, I can pause the video anytime a card comes up that I'm not familiar with and read what it does. Remove that text and now it's a lot more effort from me to understand what's happening. Making it easier for me to decide to stop watching.
@@IamShellBee Normally, you just hover over a card, and it tells you what it does. With that, you have to stay hovering over it and then what it does appears on the side. It didn't even have the typing on the card itself, which you can see in the video when he thinks that Heartthrob isn't an undead
Mana Geode used to only proc when it was healed, and it was never played, just like any other card that triggered when healed (other than Cleric). If Overheal only worked with damaged units, this would be a serious nerf to Mana Geode, since you decrease the window in which it can trigger.
That's... the point of the overheal mechanic. Cards with abilities that activated when they were healed were terrible, cos they don't do anything at full health. That's why they created the overheal keyword.
The Druid deck with Explosive Sheep is really clever, good way to build that deck.
There's a version with Bottom feeder.
You are both a great deck builder and pilot. Definitely learned a lot from watch your stream during theorycrafting
Hedanis seems to be the new Svalna for Kibler, he's never gonna get that name right.

Im more annoyed by Kibler saying HedRonis than I ever should be

The exact video I was looking for! Thanks Kibler!
I'm glad Shadow Ascendant and Holy Champion are getting their time, some of my favorite underrated cards.
This deck looks really fun. Can't wait.
The very exact video I was searching for. Thanks !!
The overheal keyword is perfectly balanced in my opinion for now

Maybe it has a cap of 1 per healing action?
no
It has already been done. The result was turn 5 mecha'thun otk. He's basically a 1 mana gadzetan auctioneer
See that last battle against the priest was actually a victory, since they wanted to play your deck/cards!
Can’t wait! Geode is back
Thanks for the video! Hope Priest will be able for playing :)

At least can still use the regular versions of the cards. The full-art ones are optional, like Golden cards.
How come you have access to the cards earlier?
he hacked the mainframe
blizz runs theorycrafting streams where certain content creators get the ability to play the new cards on special accounts for a short time.
@@TheJiminatorHSthanks for the information.
wouldnt steamcleaner in the first game destroy whole warriors deck ?
can anyone tell me what playlist he listens to? Has he ever told us?
This deck looks quite fun, I may give it a go on Xpac day.
Isnt holy champion from the grand tournament? And wasnt it inspire?
cards changed

I mean its early preview/theorytest stream. Of course everyone is going to be playing the the goofiest decks possible.

My best moment working at Amazon
"Have you seen Jurassic Park?"
"Is that a movie that came out recently?"
Not a fan of the new cosmetic thing being on cards with a lot of text on them. It's like when magic made the full card art Cryptic Command

that would be so fricking bad
more excellent analysis but overpraise of objectively unusable unplayable cards at least in this iterations

Overheal activating on full health minions is stupid. There's no health being healed.
That's... the point of the overheal mechanic. Cards with abilities that activated when they were healed were terrible, cos they don't do anything at full health. That's why they created the overheal keyword.
Yeah, you try to heal them over their health value. That's the point
The whole point is to have something you can do when minions are at full health.
So would you say they were...over healed? o.o I will see myself out now sorry
@@LovelyBloodRose I'd say they weren't healed at all.
