I feel like I would have stayed in the same gear and full throttle coming out of the final turn and into the finish. Might have perfectly hit the power band, shaved a decent amount of time, and still stayed well below red line danger. But.. I wasn't there, just going by the sound of the rpm.
1330 balanced crank, flowed head, seal conversion, crank strap and HC, std valves, long duration can and 1.25 carbs. built for S12 MSUK regs and MGCC group 2 regs. hope that helps. thanks for watching
@@mgmidget-thebirthofaraceca4349 Thanks for that info. I grew up around Shelsley, Curborough and the other Midlands speed venues with my parents competing at them in a Dutton first off and then an Alfa Romeo GT Junior. Sadly, my dad crashed and was killed in the Alfa at Curbourough last year. In their memory, I'm looking for something fun and lively and am in the market for a Midget or Sprite. As such your videos have been both insprational as to what you can do with an old car, but also lovely to see all the venues my parents raced at and that ongoing enthusiasm for the sport. I'll try and spot you in a paddock next season and say hello. Cheers
Sorry to hear that but if the have helped inspire you to have a go then im really glad to have helped you along the way. thanks for watching and yes do come say hi in the paddock. everyone is really friendly and happy to help
Brilliant. Car looks great, ran great, driver did a fine job too! What a blast.
Couldn't agree more! :-)
Nice work!

I’ll try it next year in practice. Thanks for the input
Well pedalled - flat through Kennel and Crossing and just the right amount of drift and wheelspin through the Esses. What state of tune is the engine?

How did you get on in the results?
All MG’s were in 1 group so placed mid way but beat my group 2 target time for the Championship so very happy 😊
Very good again ...good bit of movement on the last run 😎
