I know it's a small detail but one thing I actually really like about Marshy vids is how you can always follow along with the stream conversations like with the zilliax/renathal one- the conversation just keeps on going with the next game and you don't feel like a big part got cut or you're missing a load of context
Commander-style game could maybe be a cool Tavern brawl. Should be doable if the rule was like "At the start of game each player gains: Permanent Mirage - Discover a minion from your deck, this card becomes a permanent Mirage of that minion" and then you get to play that same minion once per turn as if it was the Paladin Mirage. Or just a board Permanent/location item that chooses one minion and gives you that minion repeatedly then.
I think a Highlander mode could have a Commander zone thing, if the available Commanders are restricted Maybe those Commanders were created for the mode to be fun in the format
I mean what you are really describing is the mtg commander format. Where you slow things down and make it 4 player. Would HS benefit from a commander mode? Idk, but I'd certainly try it Edit: lol you got to there eventually
i think the highlander format idea is kinda ok but i think the captaincy/commander expy part would serve to either make the game very consistent because the best guys would be the only ones you would use, or they become confusing/unfun for people who want to use a pile of cards free the homie XL Classic
Lol so what happened here was DaVinci (editing program) sometimes has trouble showing me audio levels until Ive made a cut, so sometimes I make a cut at the beginning to make it show up. I forgot so remove the beginning bit, which I think I can fix still ty
Kinda just throwin around thoughts here. Ive always hated Ice Block, but I've also noticed that without Ice Block, most "control" style mages would be dead extremely quickly, although it's probably because those Mage decks really just rely on the Ice Block/s and do not include any other defensive cards. Hostage Mage is probably one of my least favorite decks to play against, due to the 15 turns of board freezes, and when you finally find some way to do that last little but of damage, Ice Block saves the day, giving them enough time to get their lethal, or just play ANOTHER Ice Block. I think I would make it a legendary secret, that can be used ONCE per game, and cannot be discovered or played after 1 Ice Block has triggered. Idk how Blizzard would manage that, but it's wishful thinking IMO. Thanks for listening to my rant.
I dont think I had to do quite all of that but I like to do as much as possible. It used to bother me more that hes not smarter but having a pretty decent understanding of him now its kinda cool having something that needs to be directed in that way?
@@MartianBuu yeah sorry, i just pictured it would be supper funny if it just pulled up a crappy website thant lags and doesnt work half the time in chrome or something
You spoke of Highlander formats, but MtG has more than just Commander/EDH for Highlander. For HearthStone, a regular Highlander format would be better (Canadian/German). No Commanders to worry about, Commander would make the game worse. The reason Commander works in MtG is that there are generally 4 players in a game playing interaction so you can't usually just pop off when you have the mana. In a 1v1 format having a combo enabler or a huge value engine from the beginning of the game would be too good. MtG Commander also works because of instant speed gameplay, which HearthStone doesn't have. Simply a Highlander format with the regular amount of HP but maybe like 50 (or 40, but 50 would honestly be good because it would be less consistent) cards required to make the players choose less ideal cards for their decks and the limitation of having a single Highlander payoff could work. Aggro would not be as good, value would be more meaningful because of that. Board states become more meaningful because players would not have every single answer or OTK combo in the game, and because of the board state argument aggro would likely still be playable. Commander in HearthStone environment might work if it was a 4 player multiplayer FFA format, but that has not been implemented and likely never will. Anyhow, nice video, neat deck and interesting thoughts on a possible Highlander format.
Yo. I'd like u to play a Ice or fire mage. I'd rather see an ice mage bcz I think shutting down any board centric strategy while using silly ice cards would be better than the dmg fire provides. If u happen to decide to do this. Pls go big. And hard. It is my big great opinion that ice has been overlooked for a long time. Has it ever been the best? No. But silly ice stuff has been better more often than many many 😮think so u should maybe try it . Maybe
My gut tells me that you were wrong saying that the reno cards would be nothing special in a format that only allows reno decks. I understand that you could say they're just another battlecry card, but the reno cards were designed to be played for that format, the other cards weren't so the reno cards are made stronger then the regular battlecry cards. The reno cards would do either more for the same cost, or the same at a lower cost. reno is the lowest mana full heal, zephrys is the ultimate jack of all trades, boardclear reno has no extra requirements to do 10 spread damage to the enemy board, elise is the most efficient and fastest hand duplicator, ... The meta and gamepace might have made some reno battlecries undesirable, but apart from DQ alex having to be a 9 mana 8/8 like the other alex' they are all the best at doing their niche role.
Day -32 of being stuck in a time dilation chamber while waiting for martian buu to make more free and accessible content in a game I don't play

I feel you have to be more specific lol.
i think i am, battlecry and murloc ones are quest and overload one is a questline
The Renathal and Zil argument is exactly on point.

Love the idea of a highlander mode. Similar to when Yu-Gi-Oh did that deck master arc when Kaiba’s step father hijacked Battle City.
AHHHHHAH I've see you broadcast
Well since that game didn’t make it into the video I’m curious if anyone will mention the 2 card combo in the deck
I love seeing when Marty get screwed some matches, it's funny his reaction, goofy face :3

Not LPG but RPG in my hearthstone!?
the beginning of this video felt really out of place lol I thought we were about to see some deck-building
