Not the biggest fan of the look, but like that he's noticeably different to other predators. And the film is amazing. Stripped it back to it's essential parts and that rocks
The unique designs always stand better for me, the berserker, and now this Ferral predator stands out the best for me. Wolf is my favorite predator design, but these guys look awesome. A whole world of these guys, there should be several traits that differentiate by more than just clothing and armor.
I like all the predator looks they just represents different ages, clans and sub species and for this I like as kind of a early stage to the more traditional predator.
The P2 City Hunter is my personal favorite, but I really dig this alternate take. According to the design team, he's an intentional departure - he's supposed to be from a different environment & subspecies. The silver is never explained (or even clearly visible), but pictures of the filming suit make it look like war paint or weird, alien scar tissue. The movie doesn't delve into Predator lore, which works to its benefit. You're as lost as the human characters from 300 years ago about what this thing is. The movie's worth a watch - they keep him mostly hidden in shadows (classic monster movie tension building), and it's probably the 3rd best of the movies. I'd go OG Predator, the Robert Rodriguez one, and Prey in the ranking.
Actually, there's a scene right after he obliterates the fur trappers where he sits on a log and uses a silver cauterizing agent like caulking inside the wound, which results in those silver-colored scars.
For me, I hate face of the Feral Predator without the mask looks terrible. I hate the eyes and the huge forehead. The Skull mask is fantastic, but unmasked he looks silly and terrible. I love this figure...only with a mask haha
The head of feral pred was on top of the head of Dan so Dan's head was in the preds nec, now u can imagine how much hieght a big ass pred head is gonna add
Silver streaks are wounds cauterized via some kind of liquid metal. Funnily enough, the teasers from NECA showed that this guy initially came with the first aid gun used to administer it.
The problem with the eyes is that they used to have a human wearing the predator costume, so that the eyes are aways placed at the same spot as a human eye, giving this feeling that they're somewhat equals to humans in terms of intelligence. Something that is completely lost in this new design
@@KollektorKahn Actually he couldn’t see out of anything. It was revealed that the actor was basically blind the entire time whenever the camera was rolling because there were no eye holes in the neck.

The wider set eyes on the side of the head make it look more like Prey than a Predator. Wow- that magnet backpack is incredible. I hope that starts a trend!
@@GameTime-yj6qv A wide generalization. Lots of predatory reptiles have their eyes to the side and thus have more limited binocular vision. Predators that have forward facing eyes and increased binocular vision are typically ones that have to actively chase down their prey more often.
Nice to have a Neca predator that doesn’t leave me in constant fear for it falling over in the middle of the night. Love the figure and hope it’s not the last predator figure we get. Thought the movie was fine but not great.
You just have to work the waist joint but it can get a much greater range forward, i can get him into a deep bend forward. Also the gun is magnetic and can sit on the back. The silver marks are scars that were healed. Lastly i used hot water to lay down the dreds and it looks much better.
This is a great predator the movie was good, i like the fact necca took a chance and changed it up a bit. A complete different tribe hopefully they continue with bringing unique figures instead of just changing minor things on same figure. I purchased two i liked it so much lol
In the movie, the Predator heals with a sort of stiches like liquid metal. It only closes his woundes and gives him that cool effect. Btw. I really belive you should watch this movie. Its by far one of the best in the Predator franchise and also Alien and Predator universe
Yes, I do like this design. Not so much without the bio mask but I don't mind ever taking it out. I prefer the more techy approach, but this is also cool.
This predator has the design of Ogre from the Tekken 2 game. At first i didn’t like it neither but it has grown on me plus i like the idea that there are different races for yautja

This predator is more from the comics. Also, he’s supposed to have a more humanoid look. Anyway, love your videos brother and keep up the awesome work.
Question of today: I don't like this Predator design. It's not bad but it just lacks something which makes original one so unique, maybe it's the lack of fishnet and bonemask. I just think good old solid metal mask is just that, solid headpiece which supposes to protect Predator face, the bone one? Not really that protective.
Yeah, the scale is VERY wrong for this figure XD. The Feral is by far the shortest Predator ever. He fights against a small girl. She is about half his size. Compared to this figure the same girl inly goes to his knees.😂 But to be honest I prefer it like this. We will probably neber get the Naru figure so its just very cool to display an amazing figure this big and awesome

I definitely suggest watching Prey. It’s the best predator movie in like 30 years. They predator head is strange but he is one of the most badass predators in any movie
The white/silver marks are from his healing spray in the movie that closes any cuts that he has gotten, in the movie this predator is very careless so he has many areas that he used his healing spray
The spear gun is also magnetic and goes on his back as on the opposite side of the med kit. And yes his combi spear does split into two separate blunt weapon like in the movie. Nice review my man! I can't wait to own this figure.
The movie was great, but the portrayal of the Predator is lame. He is supposed to be a Predator, but hunts small animals like a rat, snake, and wolf while fully cloaked. The Wolf Predator traps itself with several Pred-Aliens then takes them all head-on. This Predator is however fighting scared, and thinks of itself as a worthy warrior lol
I love the long black hair, I HATE the stupid eye size and placement. Makes him look like a goofy cartoon character, my literal only problem with the film.
I don’t like this design. I prefer the classic predator’s design, lore, and weaponry more. I personally prefer predators being advanced and honorable especially when contrasted with how feral xenomorphs are. So a predator who kills injured unarmed people doesn’t feel like Predator to me
Do you honestly think that they were always that way, though? The whole point was that this was a much older and less-sophisticated version of the Predator. It’s basically the equivalent of a Neanderthal human. Human beings weren’t always civil and sophisticated. We became that way over time. It’s the same for the Predators, I’d imagine. It’s nice to see something a little different for once and I think it makes sense considering the time period Prey is set.
