Same here. All the games that where running just "okay" with the rx 5700xt that i bought in Oct. 2019 are now running smoothly. It's always a nice feeling to upgrade a gaming pc and enjoy the latest technology

That's pretty impressive the RX 6700 xt can play most games at 60fps at 1440p. I'm sure it would do 60fps on jedi survivor if it was at high settings. Jedi Survivor would look good on high detail at high detail too.

Yeah you gain more fps if you playing 1920x1080 but i'm playing 2650x1440 and in cyberpunk it's about 47fps on maximum preset, so it is not very much. Fot that reason i need uprage

newest games wont be a problem for the Rx6700xt of course in many games you have to decrease some graphic levels to hold on 60 fps but so you can go for high settings and get good fps in 1440p for sure.
In your another testing video where you are testing 7800xt and 4070 Super the FPS for 7800xt is different from this one? In the same scene in Cyberpunk here 7800 has 100 FPS, but in another video it has 50 for the same scenel. Sorry, but how is it possible?
There was no quality 6700 xt to 7900 xt vid so this is the closest comparison. I cant wait to see just how good the new architecture is. Then comes the 8000 series near q3/4.
Interesting. Worth noting that the fan speed of the 6700 XT is often a lot higher (not seldom the double) compared to that of the 7800 XT. Should make a bid difference for the noise situation. Also the cooler on the 7800 XT Hellhound from PowerColor seems and it runs very quiet according to the tests I've read. But now I also see the power draw on the 7800 XT is quiet a lot higher. If looking at that I guess one must say the 6700 XT is giving about the same frames per second per watt? If that is something that matters to people. :)

If you don't play competitively, 60 hz is enough. With enabling Motion Blur, 60fps can look very smooth. If you are up to online competition, better stick to 144hz+ Don't purchase larger than 27" with 1440p. You need to decide between quality and fps, though smaller 1440p panels also look decent. I got 3x 1440p 27" 144hz, but mostly play triple screen at 60-85hz and/or upscaled from 1080p. Some games like Wreckfest run @ ~100fps with native 3x 1440p (Ryzen 5600x + RX6700XT).... 3x 1440p roughly equals 1x 4k.
Since my one month old rx 6700 XT is hitting Hotspot temps above 103C° i will use the return policy and get the Rx 7800 xt. i know that the 7900 would be the right upgrade but i just havent used the 6700 for too long... a shame
Turn on the fans my Man. Change the case/fans in case Something îs wrong in your gpu. As a matter of fact, u can check other benchmarks this gpu won't ever hit 85 hotspot.

@@daidalos1508 1700 rpm sounds low in case u have a 3 fan model . are them even at 50%? U know by any chance whats the %fan speed ? Put in adrenaline fan control manual advanced fan control show more then 60% at 60% 65% at 65% 70% at 70 degrees. Adjust fan speed lower If gpu gets cooler.
@@pR0ManiacS It cant be the Fans, because the overal package stays below 80C, allways. Even when i havent installed those 6 new fans for Airflow it was 80C max. Its one spot on the Silicon that gets above 100C for whatver reason. I bet that the Thermal paste there is either super Dry or has Air bubles in it. This GPU is over 2 Years old, maybe one of pre production i dont know

you could slap on a 7600/7600x with the 6800xt and still have the same performance, sometimes even better whilst investing in the am5 platform which you can upgrade down the line (say a 7800x3d) down the line when it gets cheaper. id definitely invest in an am5 pc if im building new, nothing bad about taking futureproofing into account when building a computer.
Basically, the RX 6700XT is still the best card for gaming up to 1440p. The $500 upgrade to the 7800XT does nothing but reduce Temps about 6° c on average.

I do agree the upgrade from 6700xt to 7800xt isn’t huge but it’s not that bad,upgrade to a 7900xt would be much better but that costs a few hundred bucks more :)

And when it comes to price the 7700xt makes no sense in my country basically 50-60 bucks cheaper than the 7800xt that's why a lot of people here skip the 7700xt and go for the 7800xt instead.

I get 80 fps in jedha on jedi survivor at 2k. Ultra everything. 6700xt, 32 gig ram and ryzen 7 5800x.

RX 7800 XT is not the best upgrade from rx 6700 xt i rather go with rx 7900 xt at this point but my rx 6700 xt still play games at 100fps on 1080p

Thanks for the videos. I notice that in Tarkov going from 1080P to 1440P loses a significant percentage of FPS. In 1080p have good FPS with a RX 7600
