I got mine today ...this is a complete assistant for your kitchen . Make salad within minutes . Chop onion without tears. Those threads of cabbage you get out of the slicer... It's awesome ... Thank you so much.
i just got mine yesterday with Tvins here in Solna Sweden it works well as am making me n hubby a sausage carrot stew with lots of vegi and it cuts so well. glad my tomatoes especially onions can be chopped without me messing the hole place up and also no more onion cry for me. thanks Genius.
I really love the Nicer Dicer Plus. I use it a lot when I make food, and it's so easy. It's best to cut potatoes, cucumbers, onions and apples. I recommend it!
I love mine. Yes, after over a year of constant use, a blade broke, but I think I was a little hard on it. I use it for everything, and it works great. It's not going to last forever, guys. It doesn't cost a fortune.
I had the original Nicer Dicer which was brilliant and didn't think they could improve on it, but they seem to have done it with this one, it's a must have for the kitchen, it makes chopping so much faster I love mine.
My friend bought one and when I saw "made in China" I bought the same one with $10 from a Chinese website lol. I only use the slicer blade tho. I have to tell you that it's nothing like the ad shows.
I would only use the slicer and dicer blades.....the rest is pretty useless for me.....still good for potato salad at Christmas here in Australia when cold food is a better option.
You have the real "Genius Nicer Dicer Plus" brand model and it is amazing!!!! $86 at Amazon. You can tell it is not the fake because the price is not cheap. There are check knock-offs of this item that do not last as long.
I think this one is better than the previous one, The other was a bit dangerous, me and my brother have cut our fingers several times on the other one, Now I have ordered this one, tomorrow I will get it, and I ll write about the effect.
One big con,I had one. Most veg had to be sliced to enable dice to be produced. By the time you've faffed about with this thing it's quicker to dice by hand. You won't find one of these gadgets is a professional kitchen. Which says it all.
Food sticks to those holes,, Slicer slices potato's so thin you can see thru them,Cant get a thicker size potato, to thin to fry.. OK for softer things like fruits, Hard to slice whole potato. Guaranteed they soften those potatoes first.
No, no need to soften them, but I use the smaller potatoes, not the large russets. Or if I am using large ones I cut them in half long ways first. I love the real "Genius Nicer Dicer Plus" brand model is amazing!!!! $86 at Amazon. You can tell it is not the fake because the price is not cheap. There are many knock-offs of this device.
Embarrassing... But I cut my finger pretty deep on one of the blades and came here to see how to use this thing properly! XD *May have gotten too excited... * Thank you! Very useful xxx
I got this in the mail today. You need to slam the cover on the veg or fruit you're dicing. And bits of plastic will be slivered from the underside of the cover (the thing that pushes the fruit/veg) into the fruit/veg mix. After a while your wrist hurts and your ear, too, from the slamming sound. The slicer works. Works well enough to slice a chunk of my thumb off and a bit of my husband's knuckle. The cover thingie to protect your fingers from being cut when you get to the end part of the veg is... well... it's just plastic you know so be really careful. Also if you push down on it enough to use up the whole vegetable it slivers the plastic, too. I didn't try the other attachments yet. But you will get what you pay for. In my case it was around 12 dollars off of eBay for a lifetime trauma of slicers.
+gurprtliv 11 I wonder how they use it so effortlessly... usually these kind of infomercial have cuts so you don't actually see what happens to the products that is being cooked/diced/shredded but in this case you can see it's a real time affair
the hinged cutting lid is a problem because after a couple of usages I discovered green plastic pieces crumbling down with every next cutting. Fortunately I saw it before serving the food!
Ok tried my one out after years of it being in my cupboard. Was making potato salad my fav way. Added chopped radishes, sliced celery and chopped onions along with my best dressing. Found it really hard to chop the radishes, as they got stuck in the gadget chopping part and I couldn't press the lid down hard enough to make it work properly. The only way I could get the dicing to work with the radishes was to pile more in on top of the previous lot. Also nearly took the top of my finger off with the slicer when doing my celery. It was off-putting not being able to press down lid all the way. I have one of the earlier models.....ie where lid doesn't spring back, but it looks the same otherwise.
Thank u, appreciate it ... I want the whole set with the peeler & grater ... I was gone order from QVC cuz they have a variety of colors but they don't have all the pieces !!! :-/
Ericka Harris So mine arrived yesterday and I tried it out. It's decent but I am not sure if it's worth the price (though I haven't found another alternative). The finest blade is tricky to work with. Even harder vegetables tend to get stuck. They get chopped fine but get stuck under the blade. I tried a kiwi and it got really messy. The medium size blade is better but it gives you big cubes (1X1 cm). I think if you make a LOT of salads, then it may be worth spending this much on a tool like this because even with it's limitations and downsides, it will save you tons of time. But if you don't and are just looking for something to use occasionally, I wouldn't buy it. Too expensive to return any benefit if an occasional user. In case you are wondering, I bought mine off amazon canada and the name of the product is "AGPtek Nicer Dicer Kitchen Tools 11-piece Multi Vegetable Chopper and Fruit Slicer".. I looked up others by other manufacturers but it seemed AGPtek got best reviews which is why I went with this one.
this all is typical show effects. Those both know how to handle and.... remind, the pieces they use, are ALL already cutted in useable pieces. because at first u need to cut the fruits etc. in quarters or pieces. But if u even have the knife in hand to peel and quarter fruits u also can with good skill do the job finish...a good skill cutter is as fast as they. But know...for comparision they sure show someone who have no good skill. Opposite - intentionaly he pretend a bad skill. Its not a bad device, but not as good as they perform, and not worth to have it importantly. It can cut very little pieces but it does not substitute a knife. U still need it. A knife u will need ever ever!!
It's great and i have something like that at home. You still need a damn knife though. Those onions and melons etc that they used are peeled and cut into the right size first. I love infomercials like this one, but they like to act like we're idiots.
Recipe guide? You're lucky to get the instructions in English. The pictures look like they were photographed through a screen, then copied on the world's first black and white copier just before it ran out of ink.
How the hell you "slice" potato??? It's too solid, felt like this nicer dicer will broke apart if i try to push potato thought. What's yours experience?
Attach the round green thing to the lid, above the main pushing bit, move your potato/tomato/apple etc to the furtherest point from the hinge area, and you will find it is EASY to quarter or eighths ANY of those types of foods. That little green thing is not just an ornament lol
the real "Genius Nicer Dicer Plus" brand model is amazing!!!! $86 at Amazon. You can tell it is not the fake because the price is not cheap. Be aware of the cheap knock-offs.
Amazon in the US, about $85 and it is amazing, and works like the video. I think people here with negative comments got the fake knock-off versions, because the real "Genius Nicer Dicer Plus" brand model is amazing!!!! You can tell it is not the fake because the price is not cheap.
See how small the chunks of veg and fruit are before they are diced??? Might as well just continue with a knife. Buy some decent knives and a sharpener and forget this nonsense.
This is one of the most copied product in the world. Online there's so many copies of this. Worse is none of these copies don't have any instructions manual. I have one of this type. However it's from another company and it is in a round shape. First time I used, the medium dicer blade came out while dicing beetroot and potatoes. Due to that even the green pusher was shaving off. Luckily thanks to Amazon I was able to get a replacement. I liked the slicers attachment in the one I have as it slices thick, thin properly and with ease. I have used small dicer for onions, cucumber, tomato and for that it is great. For potatoes I first used thick slicer and then diced with ease. Needed one of these as I have been getting lots of cuts on my fingers recently.
I got mine today ...this is a complete assistant for your kitchen . Make salad within minutes . Chop onion without tears. Those threads of cabbage you get out of the slicer... It's awesome ... Thank you so much.

not as effortless as they show. i have to put a lot of pressure on my nicer dicer all the time, that my hand starts aching. now I've stopped using it.

LD.Tube Hmm. Maybe the fruits already are cutten?
Glad I'm not the only one!
So True, I think they had been usin boiled vegetables lol

Attach the round green thing to the lid, above the main pushing bit, move your potato/tomato/apple etc to the furtherest point from the hinge area, and you will find it is EASY to quarter or eighths ANY of those types of foods. That little green thing is not just an ornament lol

Doesn't work with soft fruits like kiwi and pineapple...
It does, so what are you doing wrong?
Maybe my fruits are softer than yours?
See how small the chunks of veg and fruit are before they are diced??? Might as well just continue with a knife. Buy some decent knives and a sharpener and forget this nonsense.
I was thinking that too!
I am a butcher work with sharp knives all day, used this thing first time nearly took half finger with it rubbish
Yeah....cut my finger too and part of my nail....ouch!
