POLICE CHASE in Cardiff! Loads of Police Cars & ARMED Units Responding in CONVOYS!

- A major police response was scrambled after a car failed to stop and made off from police in Cardif. The persuit started off near St Mellons in Cardiff, but changed directions heading back away from Cardiff (hence why the traffic cars came back the way they came). In this video, you can see multiple Police cars from South Wales Police (SWP) responding in convoys urgently to assist with thw chase.
The suspect was caught and arrested for stealing the car and is awaiting trial.

1:59 - Operational Firearms Commander (OFC) responding in an unmarked ARV.
2:30 - BMW Roads Policing Unit Repsonding with all siren tones!
2:52 - Mercedes Sprinter Police Support Unit Van Responding with a broken bullhorn.
3:20 - South West Wales Police's helicopter "WO99" is seen searching.
3:25 - Ford Focus District Response Vehicle Responding.
3:40 - BMW Traffic car responding with engine roar.
3:59 - JFU Armed Response Vehicle Responding at very high speed.
4:12 - Llanishen's Divisional Cell van Responding.
4:38 - A Swansea ARV Responding for extra support.
5:16 - Convoy of Marked and Unmarked X5 ARV's Responding.

Very interesting video, loved the X5 with the older blue-tint lightbar towards the end. Cool to see that all the 3 series seem to have a slightly different lighting setup eg lightbar or grill lights flashing differently
Thanks! That X5 was a Swansea ARV, so slightly different from the newer Cardiff ones. I noticed that too about the 3 series's very interesting

As a driver I wish someone could one up with different sirens.Often you cant tell which direction they are coming from,and you dont hear the sirens until they right on top of you

WO99 isn't a thing any longer due to NPAS but usually it would be NPAS 47 based in St. Athan in South Wales!

I miss the old days up to 04 when all Welsh Police radio comms was analogue and you could listen in to pretty much everything WL,WE,WH WO99 (Air support)..heard some crazy stuff.

The UK mostly use Vauxhall which are UK made, and a few use land rover too. Just Wales is a bit of an exception, using almost no UK made cars
