- Lancashire is the home of football here in England, and it’s home to 4 historic football grounds: Deepdale, Bloomfield Road, Turf Moor and Ewood Park. They are the homes of Preston North End, Blackpool FC, Burnley & Blackburn Rovers respectively, who are the founding members of the football league. But what are the stadiums like to go around? Sorry for the delay in making content. Coronavirus & Lockdowns aren't good for travel channels on TH-cam. But now that I'm able to go to places, I should be able to crank out content on a more regular basis.
To answer some of the comments that I'll invariably get (because I can predict what you're going to say).
- Yes, I will go on more stadium tours - but whether that particular country will let me in due to their own COVID guidelines remains to be seen.
- I'm fully aware that Bramall Lane is an older stadium, but Deepdale's claim of 'oldest continuously used stadium for professional football in the world' still stands, as Bramall Lane was originally a Cricket Ground and Sheffield United didn't play there until 1889.
- Lancashire IS the home of football by way of number of victories, titles, trophies etc. Sorry Yorkshire, facts are facts.

I've missed your videos as of late, and what a response, especially for me as a Blackpool Fan🍊 I can explain some things. The reason why the East Stand looks so poor from the exterior is because it was temporary stand, however, it got left under our previous very poor ownership of the Oystons. We currently have plans to build a new stand to replace it. I highly recommend checking out the stadium tour. Maybe you can come back on a match day one day because our atmosphere in the Mortensen North Stand is incredible. Then you may even be able to catch a stadium tour🍊🧡

I enjoy the four stadiums in one day concept. I like seeing Championship stadiums because many people like me if choosing to visit the UK will more likely go seeing their favorite club’s or Wembley’s stadium tour. Yet, maybe by watching one of your video someone decides to go visit one of these stadiums and pay the £10 which will mean a lot more to the fiscal well being of a lower league clubs than a premier league team. Great Video!

I don't think I could do this on a regular basis - especially given that it's 4 times the amount of work than a normal stadium tour.
But never say never I guess. If this one becomes popular, I might do similar ones for other areas.
I like that you're going to stadiums outside the top flight. As an American, I wonder what a tour of a typical League Two, National League, & lower (i.e. Northern Premier & Northwest Counties League) stadium would look like.
Yes indeed. As you can tell from this video - they vary greatly in size and amenities.
So even though three of these teams play in the same division - their facilities are markedly different.
And the team that's a league above them (Burnley) has arguably worse facilities.
You should check out Wrexham which would make sense considering your background and the league Wrexham are currently in. A historic football club that has suffered badly for over a decade but finally there's light at the end of the tunnel for them thanks to their famous new owners.

I've done quite a few that people don't bother watching.
The board room at Ewood is one of the best features. With every crest of the football league around it.
I didn't know it had that?!
On Jack Walkers instructions the crest of Manchester United is placed behind the door so when it is open you can’t see it. He didn’t like them at all. When the stadium was rebuilt the existing wooden panelled boardroom dating back to the 1890s was taken apart piece by piece and recreated in the new stadium.
@@UltimateBucketList , it was falling down before Jack Walker rebuilt it, hence it was used by Hovis when they were making an advert to show that hovis had been around since the Victorian era.

Lancashire is definitely the home of football. Maybe Preston were good and hopefully they can be as good again. My respect levels shot up for you when you said if you had to follow another team it would be Preston. The content is class keep it up 👍

Another good video. we're down in Blackpool in a few weeks time, I was hoping for a tour of Blackpool, but probably unlikely.
Unlikely that they'll do tours of the football stadium, but you can probably see all the best bits from the outside.
It's a short walk away from Blackpool South Train station, so it's really easy to find.

Great. I live in Lancaster. Morecambe only Team in the league which is good. I used to watch North End, started in 94 when they had the plastic pitch. Watched Beckham score in front of me when he played for North End. I always thought Lancashire was footballing hub, just as you described. I know boundaries have changed, but i still feel Manchester, Bolton, Wigan etc are Lancashire too. A great, beautiful county. Blackburn 94/95 winners... :)
I agree ... Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Liverpool - even though they're technically out of the county, all Lancastrian places.
It's not so obvious in Football, but definitely in Rugby League - all the teams here consider themselves as part of Lancashire.

@@UltimateBucketList I wouldn't wear the opposition kits though, like you do on some Stadium tours. I'm a Birmingham City fan and the hatred is absolutely intense in the West Midlands. I don't think you would get away with wearing a Wolves top at Baggies or Blues top at Villa or vice versa. Would certainly love to see you do a tour of St. Andrews though as love your videos.

Lancashire is a county I have a lot of respect for. Without it we wouldn't have football. I'm a Chelsea supporter myself and I'm not jealous of United or Liverpool. In fact on our badge we have the red rose of Lancashire.

Born in Preston, but resided in Manchester as a kid. When I started getting into football, took an interest in United.
Technically, it is my local club.

Lancashire is definitely the home of football, but sadly incorrect about Rovers.
The historical (and correct) map of the counties official encompasses Liverpool and Manchester (and part of the Lake District).
The map they now use as 'administrative regions' is a complete sham.
@@UltimateBucketList whilst I can get behind that argument and I would love to see the historical boundaries return, I think you would struggle to convince most people from the Manchester and Liverpool areas that they are Lancastrians.

Well, most of them have stopped the stadium tours because of government restrictions. I think if this COVID stuff didn't happen, I would have gone to a lot more of them.
