Using ravioli and cottage cheese in lasagne looks like a great idea! I always make a white sauce to use with mozzarella cheese. I love adding mushrooms, zucchini and carrots to the sauce as well.🥫💗
My Mom made it with cottage cheese but, she mixed in a whole egg in hers to spread out...not sure why but, it was all delicious! Hit it pretty strongly with garlic, too. Awesome video!
Catherine I watched this video, and went to the store the next day to make it. We had it on Sunday (10/3/21). I was out of luck with the cheese ravioli, (only 1 left 🤷) so I did half pan cheese ravioli and half meat. We all loved it. Had it for dinner, then lunch at work for my guys, and they still finished it off that evening. My honey prefers the meat, I like the cheese and my grandson likes both. Thanks again for pleasing our appetite ❤️ Also I was used to my Mother using ricotta cheese, but I remember you saying about the cottage cheese having a little salty taste, so I did both in that department too 😃
That looks delicious. I use mushrooms cottage cheese onions and black olives and stewed tomatoes and I use hamburger and Italian sausage with mozzarella cheese
I use parmesan cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese & mozzarella cheese..in my sauce I put in green pepper, lots of onion, fresh garlic, mushrooms, garlic & onion powder as well..it brings out the flavors more we think..we are gonna have to try it this way as well!

Do not like peppers of any kind. I have tried to like them but think they over power the food so no peppers for me. If I made this, I would leave the peppers out and add mushrooms. I just love mushrooms my favorite. I would also use mild italian sausage and ricotta cheese in this casserole. Great recipe Catherine!!! 👍💟

Not a fan of cooked peppers so would likely add mushrooms instead. Cottage cheese as I think ricotta is gritty. Loving your recipes with simple ingredients and rich flavors.

I love my onion green bell peppers, I don't like mushrooms and I don't like garlic,I can tolerate a little garlic powder,as long as there is no potatoes involved.

Thank you for sharing i added a few tweaks by omitting the cottage cheese and adding pepperoni and hot salsa to my meat sauce for a little spicy kick and additional cheese while layering, but it was delicious! Really enjoyed watching you prepare this!

I prefer cottage cheese. A friend, a long time ago, told me to try dipping bbq chips in it. I was hooked after the first bite. This looks so easy and delicious.

When I made it I was unsure about which one to use. My mother always used ricotta so I was used to that, but when Catherine mentioned about the cottage cheese having a salty taste I thought when layering the cottage cheese I'm going to add ricotta too. Very cheesy and delicious. Also another good mistake was the store only had the meat ravioli, boy was that good. Gone in a day and a half. 😋

I like a sweet pasta sauce so i put a 1/4 cup sugar in it the sugar also cut the acidity.
I like everything but I usually don't put green bell pepper in my sauce because some folks either can't eat it or don't like it.
