I've done this before for someone... after scraping off as much as possible, use a generous amount of vco or baby oil to massage into the scalp and let it rest for awhile... then wash and rinse as usual... after a few repeats, the problem will disappear
It's easy to say something like that when you don't have the condition. I have friends who get this bad within a few days. They can't mess with it until it's peeling on its own otherwise they can get sores and if they scratch their skin too much, they can cause sores too. The scalp is incredibly sensitive
@@annagray6491 no offense taken at all, I definitely understand why you said that so I just wanted to give you some information :) I have a milder form of psoriasis that I can take care of so I absolutely would have thought the same if I didn't see what my friends struggle with. The skin on the head is thinner and it's so easy to damage that even shampooing it everyday can irritate it.

It looks so extreme, it does look unreal - if I hadn't experienced it firsthand, I probably wouldn't believe it either. I had a boyfriend many years ago who had the same condition, not quite as bad, but it was like this as if it's a 2nd layer of scalp shed just sitting there and would come right back quickly after I scratched it up. His scalp underneath always seemed healthy enough so I was always playing in his head. I swear I miss scratching his head more than I miss him. 😂😭
