Thanks! I always enjoy seeing these swatches. They seem to love retiring yellows. That first big retirement wave got orange yellow, maize, and lemon yellow in one fell swoop, and then the sole yellow which took their place -- dandelion -- is now retired as well. It's too bad because yellow's my favorite color. To put the cherry on top bluetiful doesn't even seem to be that different from denim, despite the hype behind it -- if bluetiful just had to go in the 24 box why not retire denim instead and put dandelion in its place in the larger box? If only orange yellow (a nice yellow) and orange red (I like my reds too) were still in those would be my favorites in the box.
I really like the medium and middle colours they are really vibrant even the other bright reds and and purples, but I gotta say the Medium orange is my least favourite as it seems more dull than the other medium colours.
Say by the way jennys collection i want to say is i really miss dandelion cause its my favorite #1 crayon color cause its a rare color and hard to find in eBay and i also felt bad for dandelion cause crayola already had enough blues in the 24 pack and i dont think we had enough yellows for sunshine i think sorry if my text is little long 😞
It blows my mind how well those older crayons lay down. They seem to go down so much smoothly, almost like oil pastels or gel crayons. If I hadn't seen you swatch them and just saw the swatches, I'd swear they were done by some good quality soft-core colored pencils, like Prismacolor Premiers. I really wish they hadn't retired some of these colors or changed the formula.
So paper with more tooth is best for crayons, right? I usually use smooth, less toothy paper for markers, but that doesn't work well for many other mediums.
Hi Jenny! I'm trying to divide a color wheel by the warm & cool sides right now, in your opinion i should include Red-Violet on the warm side and Yellow-Green on the cool side? Or vice-versa? I'm sorry I just can't decide myself
Hello I have what I believe to be a super rare crayon whistle. Dandelion connected at the tip instead of the back. I know a little bit about it. Please let me know if you'd be interested in it. Or have any input. Thankyou
I'm mad that the colored pencils and markers have the pink label, but the crayon has to live with _carnation_ pink. Crayola has given retired color names to new crayon colors, so why not pink? It's been 107 years!
Nope, goldenrod is not retired. I actually got the 168 crayon tub last year, because I like collecting the colors, and goldenrod was in the box. Makes sense why you think that it would be retired though, because Crayola seems to like retiring yellow colors.

@@DanielGoTheNumberblocksFanboyare you 9 years old?
Crayola may have retired from Dandelion from their crayons, but it's still alive and well in their Sidewalk Chalk, for any Dandelion super-fans.

Jenny I have a question. Were you trying to save one of the colors in 2003?
I don’t remember.

They should bring back English vermillion
They should.
Why does Crayola decide to retire all those pretty colors? Cerulean blue is on Crayola's colored pencils.
I wish crayola will bring it back does colours
They are named after the pigments used just like professional paints and art products
That makes sense
didn't really see the point of retiring magic mint, mulberry and blizzard blue to replace them with boring similar colours
This! Why did they need to retire them?
@@JennysCrayonCollection is Aquamarine retiring next year
