Estonia is a bit too lovely, we got three big modern prisons and only enough prisoners to fit two of them... also we are skint at the moment... "Hey UK you want to rent some prison space?" is exactly what is going on from the Estonian point of view (we got mixed feeling about it too).
I suspect Smarmer will be sending the British over there. The ones who have the audacity to complain about him opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants and the asylum seekers with no papers. How dare the tax payer complain when they pay him two very generous wages and the MP’s generous wage plus expenses. It’s the tail wagging the dog!
They are leaving a safe country in France. .if they were legitimate asylum seekers, they would stay in the first safe country they entered
That would most likely be Italy, Greece, Spain. But then I imagine you don't want them there either when you book your summer holiday. If you ever opened a map you would know France isn't the first safe country they reached. So the french could very much say the same. UK gets a very small fraction of what, for example, Italy gets. It's not ideal for the UK and it puts a burden on the economy but sadly it's a much wider issue to what you see on the British news.

He’s saying they would stay in the first country deemed safe, whichever country that may be, if they were legitimate asylum seekers.
He’s also saying, those leaving France to come to the UK, are leaving the safe country of France… And therefore can’t be asylum seekers.
The implication being made, is that these people are in fact economic migrants, not asylum seekers.
He never once mentioned France as being “the first safe country they enter”. Your attempt to strawman his point, and imply a racist motive to his comment, is absolutely disgusting.

There are very few legitimate asylum seekers coming to the UK. People coming from France don't need to escape the French, they're not that bad.

The granting of asylum is something that can be done with complete discretion by the country granting it. Therefore people granted asylum may not be legitimate asylum seekers under international law. Quite simple. Bring in a point bases system like Australia. We will consider giving you entry to our country if you have a skill we need to fill job vacancies. Make it clear that you won't get a hotel, car, benefits, while your claim is being processed. You won't get free healthcare. If you do get granted to enter and live in the UK, you will have to live and work paying taxes for five years before you get access to any form of benefits, healthcare, social housing etc. If illegals won't be give anything free, their is no reason to come here.
That's a really sensible plan as you obviously have Britain's best interests at heart. However the people who run our country (and the ones who run Europe) have been told to carry out a different plan, and that is what you are seeing them do every day.
You can't apply that to asylum seekers. You lot seem to have missed the point that only a few thousand people, asylum seekers coming in small boats, but there has been hundreds of thousands of immigrants coming to the UK every year since 2010 from EU countries and countries outside of the EU on visas issued by the previous tory government, millions of immigrants have come since 2010 legally.
That's is close to what legal immigrants have to do, these are illegal immigrants shipped from France.

British have for decades supported those who are at risk in their own country as long as proper documentation supports those individuals and I don't want this to change. However, illegal immigration is just that, it's illegal and those reaching our boarders under UK law are criminals and should be treated as such. We must first look after British citizens and then, when we can, offer help to non british folk we do so. This is not rocket science.

If people are claiming asylum, to be in the uk but have to do it at an office in France, they are already in a safe country. Why they don’t claim asylum in France or any other of the many countries they have been to is beyond me, but, let’s say that’s the case. Also, if they want to apply for any type of visa for the uk, then it should be done and as far as I know has to be done from outside of the uk. So either way, land on the beach is illegal, they should all be in prison awaiting for their asylum claim to be processed. They arrived illegally, there’s no question about that and also that the law is very clear. But because 2TK has filled the prisons with hurty word political prisoners, there’s no room

Apparently the Channel Islands had labour camps on them when they were occupied by the Germans in WW2, so that probably explains why they’re not using them.

As a Estonian , its nice to see British saying we have low crime rate. We were top 5 in the world murders per capita when I grew up. 91-96 shooting was so common back then , we got used with that as children. Its totally different now. Rarely see anyone get punched in face .

This is ridiculous. What happens why Estonia's prisons get full? Are we just gonna keep using countries to solve our problems instead of solving them ourselves.
This is very dodgy. The criteria for meeting the definition is very strict and really only for prisoners that committed a crime in another country and transferred after sentence is served here. There is a grey area that the government are looking to exploit. I don’t like it and I think it’s wrong.

Well my suggestion is to bring in tougher sentences for serious offenders and the death penalty for muderers and see if crime rates wont go down like in other countries with lower rates. Sometimes to bring order to a community you have to be tough in your punishments
The issue with Estonian prisons is that the prison language is not Estonian - it's Russian, as most prisoners in Estonia are Russophone.
About 50:50. So not most. Both languages are being used. Apparently Estonians have the upper hand over Russians though, I've been told by several former prisoners (whom I met at a pub one day not so long ago)

You can send the prisoners to Estonia, but I believe you'll have to compensate and pay for their family to get there, as there's case precedent regarding human rights, that says prisoners need to be accesible to their family for visitation.

Totally failed to answer the question of “do they get benefits whilst being processed” … a simple yes or preferably NO to debunk the myth. Missed an amazing opportunity for a sound bite which could placate the masses … any failure to answer the question is effectively a confirmation .. so they do get benefits? we can not send asylum seekers bk and it is costing our tax man millions a day but we can send prisoners to other country and costing tax payers more money were the scene in that there taxing us more as there meant to be a black hole in the books spending money on asylum that cost tax payers millions a day and pay to deport prisoners do it the opposite and then they will save and that black hole wont be there and the money they save invest in the NHS and social care and tax theses company's that are making tones of profits and in vest that to get UK people out of poverty
