    Looks like this cave is a popular camping spot, but be careful some kind of rock tend to break when heated. People have been killed buy doing small fires under a rock like this.

      Its unknown to all but a few, its on private property. I havent seen any movement in the roof for 30 years, but I havent started a fire in there before either :).

    Hey mate,
    great video, I wonder what tyres you are ridin? You're not with the standard Dunlop Trailmax on gravel road, are you?!

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      IronieLiestDuNie yep, back then they wee the factory tyres. But I changed to D606s or MT21s since. The factory tires kept life exciting that's for sure.

    I Wana get one of these been riding Harleys for a few years and now Wana get one of these to explore were I can't go with the harley

      @bobsullivan6857 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Daniel Perez
      Do it! After a short time you will leave the Harley at home. The KLR will just get uglier as time goes by but you will like it more and more.
      The only thing the Harley is better at is cruising.

    How tall are you? Just wondering if the height/weight of the bike has been an issue, especially with it packed up like that.

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am 6 foot 3 and yes with the swag packed like it was it wasn't the most comfortable. Not to bad but not the best. I have since started using a compact tent and bed roll and I changed the top box to a pelican case and strap these 2 things on the top of the case.
      This then gives me the entire seat back and is a lot more comfortable.

    • @matts6551
      @matts6551 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marli2 - awesome. Glad it's working out for you. I'm getting into ADV bikes, want a KTM 1190 R but know better that you don't start out with one, never having ridden motorcycles. Then KLR 650 just seems like a no brainier for my 1st. I'm 6'0 tall though and I'm afraid of the height though (heard stories).

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Matt S you can lower them, adjustable shock, plus there a heap of cheap ways to lower them further. But at 6 foot you will have no issues.

    • @matts6551
      @matts6551 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marli2 - that's good news. I like the Pelican cases you've added. They look much more user friendly than the Kawasaki soft bags

      Please, i need i little help here, i´m in a process of buying a KLR 650, can you tell me what is the right size of the tyres. I think it´s: Front Tyre 90/90- 21 Rear Tyre 130/80- 17 it is not dirt tyres that i want to put, it´s mix, more road oriented, thanks.

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +offonroad snakes don't like people so they generally stay away. And as a adult dingos also stay away. But dingos and foxes will steal your food if they get a chance.
