Subbed. Congrats on working hard to facilitate a trip and a life on the bike like this. Will definitely be following your adventure. Three questions, 1) You didn’t mention your level of riding experience, especially off road? 2) why are you chopping the throttle so much? 3) When do you plan to change out the factory tires? Those are road slicks at best. I wouldn’t trust them in anything other than hard pack dirt or gravel.
@BoogiemanMoto, I appreciate the support! I have some outdated experience riding dirtbikes recreationally, we're talkin' 20 years back. Had a light KLX 250 I did some motocamping with in the PNW about 8 years back. I'm actually putting a set of Pirelli Scorpion Rallys on today! Yeah, just choppin' the throttle too much from lack of confidence in tires and probably a little bit due to my height/handlebar position when standing. Thanks.
what first aid kit are you running? good for you dude to bust your ass and get to the point where you can make this happen, subbed, I also found myself laying off the copious amounts of alcohol during covid, but I do enjoy a pint of guinness once in awhile, have you decided what more off road tire your going to go with once those are wore out?
@Eds_PanAm Thanks for the inquiry! I went with a "standard" med kit by "Surviveware" then added a tourniquet. I'm most interested in the Continental Divide Trail here in the States, also the Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico BDR's look attractive as well. I'm also contemplating heading to Ushuaia, Argentina in 2026. Yeah a pint of guiness, or a glass of wine with a meal is indeed enjoyable. Cheers!
We love to see it. There's a variety of bikers out there but this is the type I aspire to.
Incredible. Onwards and upwards!

Oh, Eds_PanAm, i misread, tyre question, I will most likely go with Motoz RallZ and Dual Venture, seem to get great reviews on performance/longevity.
@ I'm looking for tires this year, I think I'm going to go with the trailmax mission on the PA, I also have a 701...
Thinking about picking up an 800de you loving it?
Absolutely, I 100% thouroughly enjoy that sonbuck!
